Even today, after forty years of seeking and following after the Lord, there are times when yielding to him, that an image of him slapping me silly comes to mind. Why? Because I know how imperfect I am. That could be the best thing for my condition! Lol. So I figure, after forty years of reading and studying, etc., that “Christ Crucified” is the appeasement for my own psyche and conscience! The atonement to my own heart. For ultimately we humans are of a very self judgmental heart. Oh the wisdom of God! We are fearfully (awesomely) and wondrously (being) made!
