GospeL Verses ~ John 11:28-37

28 - After this, Martha went inside to call her sister Mary, saying quietly, “The Teacher is here and is calling for you.” 29 And when she heard it, Mary rose quickly and went to him. 30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha had met him. 31 And the ones who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out and they followed her, thinking she was going to the tomb in order to weep there.

32 When Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 When Jesus seeing her weeping, and the ones with her weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit, 34 and said, “Where have they laid him?” They answered, “Lord, come and see.” 35 And Jesus wept. 36 So they said, “See how he loved him!” 37 But some said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind also have kept this man from dying?”

                  ~ Ephesians 5:1-8 ~

1 - So be imitators of God! As beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering (like incense) and sacrifice to God. (When we get to the floor of outselves in yielding, is when to pull up some floorboards?) 3 But immorality and all scandalous behavior or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among believers [followers]. 4 Let there be no crude and foolish talk and joking, which are out of place. But instead let there be thanksgiving! 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone being immoral or impure, or who is covetous, an idolater and greedy, does not have the inheritance that is in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Don’t ket anyone mislead you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath (cause and effect) of God comes upon us. 7 Therefore don’t partner with them. 8 At one time you were in darkness, but now you are in the Lord and in the light. Be as children of light.

GospeL Verses ~ John 11:17-27

17 - Now when Jesus got there, he found that Lazarus had been in the tomb four days. 18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away, 19 and many had come to Martha and Mary to console them. 20 When Martha heard Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary was in the house. 21 Martha said to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give it to you.” 23 Jesus said, “Your brother will rise.” 24 Martha said, “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live. 26 And everyone - living and believing - in me, does not die to “the” age. (Will not be dead during “the” millennium?) Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I believe you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”

25 - Therefore, having put away falsehood/falseness [pseudos - a falsehood, untruth, lie, from pseudomai - to lie] let everyone speak the truth with their neighbor/fellow (person) for we are members one of another!

26 Don’t err due to anger. Don’t let the sun set upon anger, 27 so you give no opportunity to the devil! 28 Let the thief no longer steal but let them do honest work with their own hands, so they may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corruption come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as is fitting to the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let bitterness and seething, anger and clamor, and all slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another! And tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgives you.

GospeL Verses ~ John 11:1-16

1 - A man, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha, was ill. 2 It was Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill. 3 So the sisters sent word to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill.” 4 When Jesus heard it he said, “This illness will not lead to death, but is for the glory of God, so the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

5 Jesus loved Martha and Mary and Lazarus. 6 But, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he delayed two days longer in the place where he was. 7 Then he said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” 8 The disciples said to him, “Rabbi/teacher, the leaders were just recently seeking to stone you, and are you going there now?” 9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day time? If anyone walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10 But if anyone walks in the night’s darkness, he stumbles, because the light isn’t in him.” 11 After saying this, he said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to waken him.” 12 The disciples said, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.” 13 Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought he meant taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus said plainly, “Lazarus has died, 15 and for your sake I’m glad I was not there, so that you may believe. Let us go to him.” 16 So Thomas, called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us go also, that we may die with him.”

17 - Now this I (Paul) say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the nations do (and the carnal, self first nature does) in aimlessness and vanity of mind, 18 being darkened in understanding, and alienated from the life of God because of the not knowing that is in them, due to (the natural) hardness of heart. 19 They’ve become callous and have given themselves up to chasing sensuality, and practicing every kind of impurity, and vice with avarice. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ! 21 Assuming you have heard about him and were taught in him - as the truth in Jesus - 22 to put off the old self, which belongs to the former manner of life and is corrupt through deceptive desires and cravings. 23 Instead be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new self, that is created after the likeness of God in true righteousness [dikaiosunΓ© - righteousness, justice] (rightness, wholeness) and holiness (wholesomeness).

        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

12  - And to the angel [aggelos - an angel, a messenger, sometimes delegate] of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of he who has the sharp two-edged sword.’ (Truth. The tip of this sWord can delicately separate true thread from untrue thread upon the fabrics that make up the different tapestries that are in operation in the world.)

13 “I know where you live. Where Satan has his throne. But you hold fast to my name and you haven’t denied the faith, even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed there where Satan is dwelling. 14 Yet I have a few things against you - you have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block in the path of the sons and daughters of Israel, so they ate food sacrificed to idols (they ended up joining the reverence of other ‘gods’) and they practiced sexual immorality (which was actually a part of the ‘worship’ and then there was human sacrifice of many babies to Molech).

15 You also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. (Nicolaitans may have begun as a following of a christian in error, named Nicolaus, and their lifestyles and things they did, and taught, were scandalous and corrupt.) 16 Therefore repent [metanoeΓ³ - to change one's mind or purpose, from metΓ‘ - changed after being with, and noiéō - think; think differently after being with]. If not, I will come to you quickly and war [polemeΓ³ - to make war] (the poles/extremes!) against them with the sword of my mouth. (The sWord from between his lips.) 17 Whoever has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches (believers/followers). To the one who conquers/prevails I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give them a white stone, with a new name written on it that no one knows except the one who receives it.”

“Overcomers”! Overcomers of what? ..”The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” ..But what can come “out of the heart ..evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slander.. anger, division..” Jesus said, “I am come that you might have joy.” Thank goodness it’s the Spirit that changes us and enables us. Our part? Is to “rest iN him”.

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 26 1-18

  a paraphrased study

1 - Then King Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for your defense.” So Paul motioned with his hand and began, 2 “King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the leaders of my nation. 3 And especially so because you are well acquainted with our customs and controversies. Therefore, I ask you to hear me patiently. 4 The Jewish people all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child, from the beginning of my life in my native land, and in Jerusalem. 5 They have known me for a long time and can testify, if willing, that I conformed to the strictest sect of our religion, living as a Pharisee. 6 And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I’m on trial today. 7 This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as we earnestly serve God day and night.

King Agrippa, it is because of this hope that these here are accusing me. 8 Why should any consider it incredible that God raises the dead? 9 I too was convinced that I should do all in my power to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 10 And that is just what I did, first in Jerusalem. On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the Lord’s people in prison, and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. 11 Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to punish and avenge, and I tried to force them to blaspheme. I was so obsessed with persecuting them, I even hunted them down in foreign cities. 12 And on one such journey I was going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests. 13 And at about noon, King Agrippa, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven. Brighter than the sun! Blazing around me and my travel companions. 14 We all fell to the ground. And I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic (Hebrew dialect, not Greek which brought with it its myths) ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads [kentron - sharp points].’

15 Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ he answered. 16 ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. 17 I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you 18 to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so they may receive forgiveness of sins [hamartia - missing the mark] and have an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me.’”

5 - Jesus said, “Which of you who has a friend will go to them at midnight and say, ‘Friend! Lend me three loaves! 6 For a friend has arrived on a journey, and I have no food to serve!’ 7 And they will answer, ‘Don’t bother me! The door is shut, my family and I are in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything’. 8 I tell you, though they will not get up and give you anything because of your friendship, yet if you are insistent they will rise up and give you whatever you need. 9 So I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 11 What parent among you, if your child asks for a fish, will instead give to them a serpent? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, will give them a scorpion? 13 If you then, as imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (The answer to all things! Is more of God’s Spirit/Presence.)

11 - And so he caused some to be apostles, some prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip us for the work, for the building up of the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, to the knowing of the Son of God. To maturity, to the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 no longer as immature, tossed about and to and fro by the waves (trends of the air) and moved by every wind of doctrine, by human reasoning, and by deception and schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, that is, into the fullness of Christ. 16 For it is from him the whole body, joined and held together by every joint, and by all with which it is equipped, each part working properly, makes the body grow so it is built up in love.

                  ~ Ephesians 4:1-10 ~

1 - I therefore (Paul) a captive for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. 2 With humility and gentleness. With patience and bearing with one another in love. 3 Eager to maintain the bond of the Spirit in the unity of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit. Just as you were called to the one hope [elpis - expectation, hope, expectation of what is sure to happen] that belongs to this call. 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all, who is over all, and through all, and in all. 7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 That’s why it says “When he ascended on high he took captive captivity, and gave gifts to men [anthropois - man, men, “relates to both genders”]. 9 In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended to the earth, to the lower part [meros - a part, share, portion]. (Translators chose/manufactured this as “regions” lower regions of earth. Whereas the lower part of earth is still “sheol” Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 “where there is no thought, doing nor knowing”. And is where he descended. It’s possible he preached to Nephilim (supposed angel/human hybrids) in ‘lower regions’. But I think 1Peter’s “he preached to those who were disobedient while the ark was being built” is answered by 2Peter’s “Noah was a preacher of righteousness”. I.e. “went to them via the Spirit, while the ark was being built”. If there’s a massive hell or holding cell for the unsaved dead - not yet saved Jn.12:32, etc, etc - why would Jesus only preach to they who perished in the flood.. whose “every thought” (thus action) “was only evil” - I only mention that last thought for those who accuse God concerning the flood (when mankind was upon the brink of self destruction?) As sheol being still sheol outside of myth and legend - “the place of the dead” - where Jesus was “for three days and nights” is the grave, the lower part of earth and of our existence. The wage/result of sin is?? Surely the next thing they know will be “resurrection into the judgment” the “aionion kolasis / eonian correction” - which of course human translators chose the most extreme possible usage of correction and changed aion/eon to forever. Sigh. As neverending punishment. In the natural we have been heartless snd cruel in our perceptions? Note: the 3 mentions of lake of fire are at huge fiery events, thus is earthly prophecy like any other? First mention manmade, last mention being the way death dies, Rev.21:5, 2Pet.3:11-12.)

10 He who descended, is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things [pas -all, every — all]. (Translators changed “fill ALL” to fill all things. Whenever we read “all things” it likely is originally “pas” - “all”.)

The Administration of Ages Post Apocalypse

Does Revelation chapter 20 portray events as though they are the crests of waves, leaving out the in between? It says “after the thousand years” (commonly called the millennium, a 7th, and Sabbath rest from the adversary) is when the adversary is released from his imprisonment. He then goes out to all the earth, to gather them to the Gog-Magog war. (Final, last war!) He is of course gathering the descendants of natural/mortal survivors of the collapse and war that was apocalypse. They are gathered and they surround the millennial Jerusalem.

We’ve been sort of taught(?) that both this, and the Great White Throne Judgment, are flash in the pan instantaneous events.

Jerusalem is surrounded. Fire rains down upon them from above and consumes them. (Middle mention of a lake of fire.) And then, all of the dead, are dead.

The ancient of days comes and takes his seat and books are opened - yet I no longer see this time as a court like procedure, but more like Shakespeare’s “all the world is a stage”.

For me, a breakthrough came when I was allowed to imagine mYself rising into the judgment instead of into the millennium (Mt.25:11,12; Rev.20:14,15). If I died “still in my sins” I figured I would rise that way. Much after that of course, I don’t know. Except initiaL conditions for some portrayed in the rich man and Lazarus parable. But we are supposed to believe everyone’s sins are displayed, they stand naked upon a cold, hard courtroom floor and then they are all dumped into a fiery lake until they figure things out. It’s easy to think we’ve been heartless and cruel in our thinking.. and maybe I’m exaggerating.. but isn’t this more likely the continuation of punishing ourselves? We just can’t let go of hell, not all together. Yet I’m not sure why we are so special that for us it’s all mercy and gentle correction. But! Sometimes the human psyche doesn’t make much sense.

So my perception of ‘great court day’ changed. Jesus said he will draw all (Jn.12:32). Sure some merciless despots, tyrants, slave traffickers, serial killers.. may awaken to a bit of terror. Let us hope so and I don’t apologize for that attitude. But.. can you imagine, eventually, the gut wrenching anguish and remorse! Oh. Dear. To see the faces of your victims.. and theiR anguish, and the anguish of their loved ones. And don’t you think there will be closure for all. All individuals, of all generations of all nations.

Aren’t those who rose in the “first resurrection” going to serve during the Lord’s (long) second advent? With a crown of Life, not one of metal. Isn’t it called reigning because we will be helping by doing His works? Which he did during his so brief first advent. If we are to “inherit glory” the question to my mind would be, to what purpose? I don’t think it would be any sort of pageant and the crowd goes wild sort of thing. And the “rod of iron” surely(?) is Truth, a measuring rod that simply cannot be broken. Same as the sWord that, yes, destroys, but comes from the mouth of the Lord, from between his lips. (Which makes Rev.11 a little more down to earth also.)

The root word of logic, is logos. Surely this “administration of the ages” is one process for all. (All mentioned together in 1 Corinthians 15:22-24 and 28, with—Mt.13:33, key word 3. God’s threefold harvest. Barley, wheat, and grape.) And the ancient holy days (Lev.23) being an obvious outline (once we see it) of that entire administration.

33 - The Judean leaders answered Jesus, “It’s not for a good work that we’re going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself out to be God.” 34 Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came - and Scripture cannot be broken - 36 do you say of he who the Father declared sacred and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I’m his son’? 37 If I’m not doing the works of my Father, then don’t believe me. 38 But if I am doing them, even though you don’t believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in him.” 39 And again they sought to arrest him, but he slipped away avoiding their grasp.

40 He went across the Jordan again to the place where John had first been baptizing. He stayed there 41 and many came to him. They were saying to one another, “John worked no miracle, but everything  he said about this man has been true.” 42 And many from there believed in him.

                  ~ Ephesians 3:8-21 ~

8 - Although I (Paul) am the very least of all the believers, this grace was given to me, to preach to the gentile nations the unsearchable riches of Christ. 9 And to bring to light for all what is the plan of the mystery, which was hidden for ages, hidden in God who created all things. 10 This is so that through the church the varied and diverse wisdom of God might now be made known (proven?) to rulers [archΓ© - beginning, origin, what comes first and is therefore chief] and authorities [exousia - operating in a designated jurisdiction] in heavenly places. 11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence because of our faith in him. 13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering, which is to your glory. 14 And for this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory, he may grant you to be strengthened in your inmost being with power from his Spirit, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all believers what is the breadth, length, height and depth, 19 of the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 And to he who is able to do far more than we ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us (which “power rose Jesus from the grave” Eph.1:19,20) 21 to him be glory in the church (in the believers when following the way) and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, age unto age. 22 - It was the Feast of Dedication. [The temple was “desolated” by Antiochus, but not razed and ruined. It was repaired, renewed and dedicated by Judas Maccabee, written of in the “Apocrypha”, 2Ma 2:23, 10:6-8, 1Ma 4:52,58, and Josephus also wrote of it.]

And it being winter, 23 Jesus was walking in Solomon’s porch of the temple. 24 So the leaders and some people gathered around him and said, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered, “I told you, and you don’t believe. The works I do in my Father's name bear witness of me. 26 But you don’t believe me because you’re not from among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them unfading life, and they will not perish, and no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to remove them out of the Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” 31 At that the leaders picked up stones again to stone him. 32 But Jesus said, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of them do you wish to stone me?” (Even a married couple are called “one”! And Jesus never hid the fact, but said “the Father is greater than I” Jn.14:28.)

                  ~ Ephesians 2:17-3:7

17 - And he (the Son) came and preached peace to you who were far off (gentiles/the nations) and peace to those who were near (Israel). 18 For through him we all have access in [en - in, on, at, by, with] one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens! But you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 which is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the foundation stone [cornerstone, main stone] 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a temple in (and of) the Lord. 22 In him also, you are being built together into a dwelling place for God by His Spirit. 3 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles (nonHebrews) — 2 assuming that you have heard of the administering of God's grace to you, that was given to me. 3 How the mystery was made known to me by revelation, which I have briefly written. 4 When you read this, you can understand my insight into the mystery which is Christ, 5 which was not made known to the children of men in other generations as it has now been revealed by His Spirit to his apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs. They are members of the same body. They are sharers of this promise - which is in Jesus - which is delivered through this gospel message. 7 And of this good news I was made a minister/administrator/steward according to the gift of God's grace, which was appointed to me by the working of his power.

GospeL Verses ~ John 10:7-21
7 - Again Jesus said, “Truly, I tell you, I am the door for the sheep. 8 All others are thieves and robbers, but the sheep don’t listen to them. 9 I am the door, by which if anyone enters they will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. 11 I’m the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The one who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and runs away abandoning the sheep, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He runs away because he is a hired hand and doesn’t really care about the sheep. 14 I’m the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. (The gentiles/non-Hebrew nations.) I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. (The “dividing wall of partition is torn down” after Christ was brought forth from the separated to birth him, nation of Israel, etc.) 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life for the sheep, that I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This I have received from my Father.”
19 There was again a division among the leading Jews because of these words. 20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, why listen to him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

10 - We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God appointed and prepared beforehand. 11 So remember that at one time you Gentiles, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember that at that time you were separated from Christ and you were not part of the commonwealth of Israel. You were strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope (death would be it) and without God in the world. 13 But now in Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by his sacrifice. 14 For he is our peace. He has made us both (Hebrew and Gentile) to be one and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility 15 by annulling [katargeΓ³ - to render inoperative, abolishing] the law of commandments and ordinances (as how to inherent life) that he might create IN himself one new humanity in place of the two, and so make peace. 16 Reconciling us both to God in one body (Christ) through the cross, having overcome and slain the hostility. (Dropped the charges, replacing with resurrection, “some into Life”/the millennium, “some into judgment”/aionion-kolasin/eonian-correction, Jn.5:28,29. Same correcting process some are being prepared by now. Root word of logic is logos. Prepared to serve called reigning for to do the Lord’s works is to reign.)

GospeL Verses ~ John 9:35-10:6

35 - Jesus heard that they had cast out the man healed of blindness, and having found him said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 The man  answered, “Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 Jesus said, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking with you.” 38 He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he reverenced him. 39 Jesus said, “It is for judgment that I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who (think they) see (are superior) may become blind.” 40 Some of the Pharisees nearby heard him say this and said, “Are we also blind?” 41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt. But because you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains.

10:1 “Truly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, 3 and the gatekeeper opens the gate to him. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they won’t follow, but will flee, for they don’t recognize the voice of strangers.” 6 This figure of speech Jesus used, but they didn’t understand what he was saying.

                  ~ Ephesians 2:1-9 ~

1 - And you (we) were dead in trespasses and sin [hamartia - missing the mark] (God is Life and “is perfect” mt.5:48, so imperfect unavoidably leads to the opposite of life) 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— (which inherits judgment, earthly results and consequences Ps. and revelation’s horse and rider 2, which expanded into seal 6, described as its full effects first to last) 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our lower nature (of me first, etc) carrying out inordinate desires of the body and mind, and (we) were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (Wrath being the results, consequences, cause and effect, as God built a cause and effect universe so calls judgments as his.) 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even wheN we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together in Christ. By grace you have been saved.  6 And he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (where we are now, Rev.7:9,4; 14:4; 9:5) 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Show it to who? And for what purpose?) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing. It is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works (earning, being good enough) so that no one (not one) may boast.

      WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

8 - “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of he who is the First and the Last, the one who died and came to life again. 9 I know your afflictions and your poverty. Yet you’re rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Hebrew but are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Don’t fear what you’re about to suffer. The devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation ten days. Be faithful, even to death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. They who overcome will not be hurt [adikeΓ³ - acted unjustly towards, injured, acting contrary to what is divinely approved, harmed] by the second [deuteros - duo, afterwards, again, secondarily, second] death.”

The second death is referred to at the third mention of a lake of fire at the total, universal regenesis which Jesus called “the regeneration” - the greek word is palin/again-genesis - this is when God says “behold! I make all new” - translators changed “all” - greek word pas - into all things. Also 3 times in Eph.1:10 and in many more verses. And the second death is also said to be the death of death, which “all new” the second vivification, is greater than the first one which is at the Lord’s (full) return/appearing - which now “all new” naturally iS the end of death. The death in Adam being the first death. So this death - of death and all its shadow - must be the second.. “meant for the devil and his angels” which considering Eph.1:10, and Col.1:20, may suggest..?

Or? Or that is “and” as I think prophecy, like creation is in repeating patterns. The “second death” here - I prayed to better understand “2nd death” before posting this and then I let it be overnight. It seemed to come back to me first thing this morning that the answer is in the paragraph above, is in the letter. And it has struck me that perhaps in this letter it reads a bit more simply(?) That the second death having to do with earthly tribulation, would be death itself - dying at that time, when you have previously - during this brief lifetime - died with Christ. If we overcome, we will see and understand clearly? (Rev.7:9,4; 14:4 / 9:5) Will know the signs and what’s what. So by “the death the second” not be harmed. The greek “the” can also be read as having to do with “that, this, the one, the other”.

Second death as one of God’s riddles, sometimes code. In Rev.20:14, the second death of the universe, the fiery regeneration/regenesis. And 21:8 is if anyone is still abominable, unbelieving. Which is hiGhly unlikely. And 20:6, for those who were martyred, because of Jesus, death’s power has been annulled, so ultimately how could they be harmed?

‘Last days’ are not total hell on earth as some have taught and portrayed. For there will be eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day ..compared to when Noah entered the ark - then the flood. Which, it wasn’t nice times “every thought was only for evil”, Satan having experimented with the dna/dabbled in human breeding..? A feature of the coming triple six miracle? But he misunderstands the totality of corruption. There is no honor among thieves.. hence the fiery flood ->manmade. First of three mentions of a lake of fire - but does not mention “second death” - Rev.19:20.

What is it we are to “overcome”?

GospeL Verses ~ John 9:22-34

22 - The man’s parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Jesus to be the Christ, they would be excomminicated. 23 Therefore his parents said, “He is of age, ask him.” 24 So for the second time they called the man and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.” 25 He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I don’t know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I can see.” 26 They asked him again, “What did he do? How did he open your eyes?” 27 He answered, “I have told you already, and you didn’t believe it. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples?” 28 And they cursed at him, saying, “You’re his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. 29 We know God spoke to Moses, but as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.” 30 The man answered, “Why, this is an amazing thing! You don’t know where he came from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know God doesn’t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God hears him. 32 Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he couldn’t do this.” 34 They answered him, “You were born in utter sin, and would you teach us?” And they had him escorted out of the temple.

What the riches of this glorious inheritance in the saints is. 19 And what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Jesus when he raised him from the dead! And has seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule, authority, power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he has put all things under his feet and has given him as head over all things to the body of believers, 23 which is his fullness who fills all in all.

GospeL Verses ~ John 9:14-21

14 - Now it was a Sabbath day when Jesus made the mud and opened the blind man’s eyes. 15 So the Pharisees again asked the man how he had received his sight. To which the man said, “He put mud on my eyes, and I washed, and now I see.” 16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man Jesus is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs as he is doing?” And there was division among them. 17 So they said again to the blind man, “What do you say about him, since he has opened your eyes?” The man said, “He is a prophet.”

18 The Pharisees didn’t believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, so they called the parents of the man who had received his sight 19 and asked them, “Is this your son? Who was born blind? How is it now that he sees?” 20 His parents answered, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind, 21 but how he now sees we don’t know, and we don’t know who opened his eyes. Ask him. He’s of age, he can speak for himself.”

GospeL Verses ~ John 9:1-13

1 - As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It wasn’t that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed. (The overall truth of why this all important contrast - straying - has been allowed to occur and run its course, besides creation as a mere ant farm is not good enough.) 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day for night is coming, when no one can work.” (A ‘micro’ fulfillment, later the macro towards the peak of history’s culmination.) 5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with his saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud 7 and told him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” which means Sent. So he went and washed and came back seeing. (Why the elaborate doing here? For the man to believe and thus receive. Mud, try to think earthly? Down to earth? No one ascends but Jesus. Serving called reigning/doing His works during the Lord’s long second advent, is all upon earth. No floaty/ghostly existence at all.)

8 The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, “Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some said, “It is him.” Others said, “No, but he looks like him.” And He kept saying, “I am the man.” 10 So they said to him, “Then how were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, “The man called Jesus made mud and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed and then I could see.” 12 They said, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.” 13 They brought to the Pharisees this man who had previously been blind.

1 - From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints (believers) who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, who has blessed us in Jesus, with every spiritual blessing of the heavenly realm, 4 even as he chose us to be in him (during this lifetime) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of hiS will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace! With which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he has lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight (being 100% unfettered Genius of course) 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Jesus 10 as a plan - at the fullness of time (Rev.21:5) to unite all in him, the all in heaven and the all upon earth. [Translators changed “all” into “all things” in this verse three times, and also in Rev.21:5 - “BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL NEW!” This is usually true with all the alls. And in Jn.1:3 changed “not one came into existence except through him” to “not one thing”.] (Which, these are also true! As Rev.21:5 is said at the total, universal, fiery ReGenesis, which is the death of death, the second death. The first death being the one “in Adam” - all death inherited from Adam, see 1Cor.15:22 (or 22-24,28 w/ Mt.13:33 key word 3.)

WeekLy BooK oF Acts 25 1-27

     a paraphrased study

1 - Three days after the new (Roman) governor, Festus arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea. 2 And the chief priests and the Jewish/Hebrew leaders laid out their case against Paul, and urged him, 3 asking as a favor against Paul, that he summon him to Jerusalem—because they were (again) planning an ambush to kill him on the way. 4 But Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea and he himself intended to go there shortly. 5 “So,” he said, “let the men of authority among you go down with me, and bring charges against him there.” 6 Then about eight or ten days later, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought in. 7 The authorities who had come down from Jerusalem gathered and brought many serious charges against him, but which they could not prove. 8 And Paul argued in his defense saying, “Neither against the law of my nation, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I committed any offense!” 9 But Festus, wishing to do the leading Jews/Hebrews a favor, said to Paul, “Do you wish to go up to Jerusalem and be tried there on these charges before me?” 10 But Paul said, “I am standing before Caesar's tribunal, where I ought to be tried. To these leaders of my nation I have done no wrong. As you yourself know very well. 11 If then I’m a wrongdoer and have committed anything at all for which I deserve to die, I do not seek to escape death. But if there’s nothing to their charges against me, no one can give me up to them to carry it out. I appeal to Caesar!” (Paul was a Roman citizen, and one by birth, not purchased.) 12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, said, “To Caesar you have appealed. And to Caesar shall you go!”

13 When some days had passed, Agrippa the king (of Judea, under Roman occupation) and Berenice arrived at Caesarea and welcomed Festus. 14 And as they stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying, “There is a man left prisoner by (governor) Felix, 15 and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of your nation came to me and laid out their case against him, asking for an immediate sentence of condemnation against him. 16 I answered them that it’s not the custom of the Romans to give someone up to their accusers without their meeting them face to face and have had opportunity to make their defense. 17 So when they came together here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on the tribunal and ordered the man to be brought in. 18 And when his accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I was expecting. 19 Rather they had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a certain man, Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted is alive. 20 And being at a loss how to investigate this matter, I asked whether he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be tried there. 21 But then Paul appealed to the emperor, and to be kept in custody for him. So I ordered him to be held until I could send him to Caesar.” 22 Then Agrippa said to Festus, “I would like to hear the man myself.” “You shall hear him tomorrow” he replied.

23 So on the next day Agrippa and Berenice came with great pomp, and entered the hall with the military tribunes and the prominent men of the city. And at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in. 24 Festus said, “King Agrippa and all who are present with us, you see here, this man, about whom the whole Jewish people petitioned me. Both in Jerusalem and here, shouting that he ought not to live any longer. (An exaggeration? Not unlike what still occurs.) 25 But I found that he had done nothing deserving of death. And as he himself appealed to Caesar, I decided to go ahead and send him to him. 26 But I have nothing definite to write to the emperor about him! Therefore I have brought him before you all, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write. 27 For it seems to me unreasonable, when sending a prisoner, not to indicate the charges against him.”

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:48-59

48 - The Pharisees answered him, “Are we not right in saying you are a Samaritan and have a demon?” (Listening to the “accuser”.) 49 Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father,. And you dishonor me. 50 Yet I don’t seek my own glory, there is one who seeks it, and he’s the judge. 51 Truly, I tell you, if anyone keeps my word, he will not see death to [ein - literally - motion into which - implying penetration, unto, union, to a particular purpose or result, to, unto] the age.” 52 They said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, they will not experience death.’ 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets who died! Who do you make yourself out to be?” 54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It’s my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’ 55 But you’ve not known him. I know him and if I were to say that I don’t know him, I would be like you  a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, he saw it and was glad.” 57 They responded, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?!” 58 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, I was/am before Abraham..” 59 So they picked up stones with which to stone him, but he withdrew and went out of the temple.

1 - And masters (misters, employers) treat your bondservants justly and fairly, knowing that you have a master in heaven. 2 Continue steadfastly and watchful in prayer, with thanksgiving. 3 Pray also for us, that God will open to us a door for the message, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison, 4 that I may make it clear. Which is of course how I ought to speak.

5 Walk in wisdom toward nonbelievers, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each question people have.

7 Tychicus will tell you all about my activities. He is a beloved brother and a faithful minister, a fellow servant in the Lord. 8 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts, 9 and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. (Philemon.) They will tell you of everything that has been going on here. 10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner sends his greeting, as does Mark the cousin of Barnabas, who you have received instructions about—if he comes to you, welcome him, 11 and Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only ones of the circumcision (Hebrew/Jewish believers) among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they’ve been a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, and a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis. 14 Luke the beloved physician greets you, as does Demas. 15 Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. 16 And when this letter has been read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans. And see that you also read the letter from Laodicea. 17 And tell Archippus, “Be sure to fulfill the ministry/assignment you have received in the Lord.”

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:33-47

33 - The Pharisees answered him, “We are the offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved. How is it that you say we will become free?!” 34 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to it. [Sin - hamartia - missing the mark] (is a bondage condition, and to think we don’t miss the mark of perfection, is definitely a bondage). 35 A slave isn’t a part of the household forever. But the Son does. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know you are offspring of Abraham, yet you seek to kill me, because - my word finds no place in you. 38 I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said, “If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, one who has told you the truth I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. 41 You are doing the works your father does.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father—even God.” 42 Jesus answered, “If God were your Father, you would honor me. For I came from God and I am here. I did not come of my own accord. He sent me. 43 Why is it you do not understand what I say? It’s because - you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 Because you are (still) of your father the devil (until believing/born again, we all are; and now, who do we listen to?) and your will is to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies - he speaks out of his own character - (“slanderer, accuser”.. especially of God) for he is a liar and is the father of lies. 45 But I tell the truth, and you don’t listen/believe me. 46 Which one of you convicts me of sin/missing the mark? If I tell the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear God’s message/word(s) is that you are not (yet) of God.” (See Rev.21:5, but change “all things” back to the original “all”, greek, pas.)

12 - Put on then, as holy/sacred and beloved elect of God, hearts of compassion, of kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another. If one has a complaint against another, forgive each other. As the Lord has forgiven, so must we. 14 And above all this - put on love (clothe our self with Love) which binds everything together in perfect and peaceful harmony. 15 And let the peace of Jesus rule in your hearts, to which indeed we are called, as one complete body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching, counseling and warning one another (to stay in “the way”) in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, to God, with thankfulness in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God. 18 The wives be submitted to [hypotΓ‘ssō - to place or rank under] your husbands - as is fitting in the Lord. 19 And the husbands, love your wives, and do not be [pikrainΓ³ - bitter, sharp, harsh] (overbearing?) with them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don’t provoke [erethizΓ³ - stir up/incite to anger] your children, lest they become discouraged. 22 Bondservants, do all those who are your earthly masters (employers) ask, not as eye-service, and people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, reverencing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance (effect?) as your reward. You are serving the Lord Jesus. 25 For the wrongdoer is paid back for the wrong they do, and there is no partiality.

Interesting word study: inheritance - klΔ“ronΓ³mos - an heir, apportioned inheritance by the casting of lots – inheritance, awarded by divine lot, i.e. the portion God assigns. (“Elect” by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice? “All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare, 1CoR.15:22.)

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:21-32

21 - So he said to the Pharisees again, “I’m going away, and you’ll look for me, and you’ll die in your sin [hamartia - missing the mark). (ThuS rise still missing the mark.) Where I’m going, you cannot come.” 22 So they said, “Will he kill himself? Since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?” 23 He said, “You are from below [kato - down, below, downwards, lower, under, less]. I am from above [ano - up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region]. You are of this world, I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” (Thus, logically? Will rise still in their sins, still wild weeds, in the resurrection that is “after *the* thousand years”/millennium, and is “into the judgment”.. Which explains why there is the conditions portrayed in the rich man and Lazarus parable and in the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22 - as initial conditions for some, when entering the judgment.) 25 So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus answered, “I’m who I have told you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I hear from him.” 27 They didn’t understand that he had been talking to them about the Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you’ll know I am he” [the promised one, originally promised in Eden, which is why there are the ancient “son” myths and mother and babe of so many lands) “and that I do nothing on my own, but speak just as the Father has taught me”. [“Taught” - didΓ‘skō - from daō - learn, to teach, literally "cause to learn, instruct, impart knowledge, disseminate information. (Cause to know.)] 29 “And he who sent me is with me. He’s not left me alone, for I always do what’s pleasing to him.” (What is pleasing.) 30 As he was saying these things, many believed in him. 31 So Jesus said to those who were believing, “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples. 32 And you will know the truth. 1 - If then you have been raised up with Christ (up out of the waters of baptism, born again) seek and pursue the things that are above [ano - up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region from ana - upwards] where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on those things (the kingdom) the things that are of above, not upon the things that are of earth (worldly). 3 For the old you has died, and the new you (God’s best blueprint of the truest you) is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ - who is our life - appears, then also shall the new us appear together [syn - joined, knit close together] with him in [en - in, on, at, by, with] glory [doxa - honor, renown, glory, a divine quality]. (If life had no option of choice, what would we be? So instead of a total ant farm, it’s this all important contrast first, life as we presently know it, bringing about total ‘herd’ immunity. Life as we now know it will continue during GWTJ ‘day’ [aion] for those who rise aFter “the” millennium. And at the conclusion is the second vivification - Rev.21:5 - but translators changed “all” (greek pas) into “all things”.] 5 Let perish therefore what is selfish and self seeking/carnal in you - sexual immorality, impurity [akatharsΓa - from A - not, and katharΓ³s - clean because unmixed, pure], strong (negative and hysterical) emotions [pathos], bad and immoral desires, and covetousness/avarice which is idolatry [eidΓ³lolatria - image worship]. 6 On account of these the wrath (cause and effect) of God is coming. 7 In these things all once walked, when living in them. 8 But now you must put them all away -  anger, rage, malice, slander, and indecent talk. 9 Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with such practices. 10 And you have put on the new self, which is BEING renewed in knowledge, in the likeness of its creator. Daniel 10 Study

 Paraphrased And Condensed With

      Suggested Interpretation

Ten and eleven run together. Much of the prophecy concerns Israel of course, yet the beginning of chapter 12 strongly suggests the prophecies somehow extend to the global culmination. As verse 12:2-4 concludes the prophecies this way - “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to nonfading life, and some to shame and everlasting [the hebrew - olam - long duration, a time/duration) of contempt [deraon - aversion, abhorrence; only one other verse in the Scripture has this word - Isaiah 66:24:

For Context, 23 and 24 - “From new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath (month to month and week to week) all mankind will come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.

24 Coming forth (into GWTJ ‘day’?) they (all) will look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me. For its worm never dies, it’s a fire that is not put out becoming an abhorrence to all mankind.”

..How? shall all mankind see the corpses of armageddon, which is of the end/apocalypse? Aka, the result of this all important contrast.

Answer? Because, logically, GWTJ ‘day’ will be a duration of great review. And the course and result of straying will thoroughly abhor and disgust us all. “For its worm never dies, it’s a fire that is not put out becoming an abhorrence

to all mankind.” Straying/imperfection is the ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’, which its worm/corruption/spoiling does not end or reverse, as it cannot.

Dan.12:3 -  “And those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the sky and heavens above, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars. 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro (jets, etc) and knowledge (good, including biblical! and not so good) shall increase.”

Chapter 10

1 - In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel.. And the word was true, and it was a great conflict. And he understood the word and vision.

2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks. ..On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river Tigris, 5 I looked, and behold, a radiant man clothed in linen, with a belt of fine gold.. 6 .. whose words was like the sound of a great multitude. 7 Those who were with me didn’t see the vision, but a great fear fell upon them, and they ran away and hid. 8 I was alone, no strength was in me, 9 and as he spoke, I fell to the ground in a deep sleep. 10 But a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly loved, understand these words that I speak to you, for I have been sent.” So I stood up trembling. 12 Then he said, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard. 13 The prince (arch angel) of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, 14 and I have come to make you understand what is to happen to your people in the latter days. For the vision is for days yet to come. 20 I will return to fight against the prince of Persia. But then the prince of Greece will come. 21 I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth. There is none battling by my side against these except Michael, your prince.” (The battling for lands and earthly powers. Empire against empire.)

12 - Again Jesus taught the people, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 13 But the Pharisees said, “You are bearing witness of yourself! Your testimony is not true.” 14 Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness of myself, my testimony is true. For I know where it is I came from and where it is I am going, but you don’t know where I come from, nor where I’m going. 15 You judge according to the flesh (self centered reasoning). I judge no one. 16 But if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it’s not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. 17 In your Law” (their law, because he - life in him and he in us - is the “new and living way” that fulfills the law’s requirements. But in the society preserving laws given to Moses) “it is written that the testimony of two people is true. 18 I am the one who bears witness concerning myself, and the Father who sent me also bears witness of me.” 19 They then said to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus replied, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” 20 These words he spoke in the treasury [gaza-phulakΓ© - treasure guarding/watch] as he taught in the temple. But no one arrested him, for his hour had not yet come.

                  ~ Colossians 2:18-23 ~

18 - Don’t let anyone declare you disqualified, insisting on asceticism and the lauding of angels (or by insisting their particular convictions be observed by you) or going on in detail about visions, puffed up and prideful by their carnal (self seeking, self centered) mind, 19 members not holding fast to the head/Christ, which is from whom the whole believing body, is nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, growing together in the growth that is from God. 20 If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to various regulations such as 21 “do not handle, do not taste, do not touch” 22 referring to things that all perish as they are used (foods aNd days) according to human rules and teachings. (Paul is writing to non Hebrew believers, they have never been required to observe the Sabbath, nor to follow certain food guidelines - they may indeed be superior, but not required in order to be a believer in Christ and Christ Crucified and thus in good standing with God and receiving the growth in newness that is from him. Don’t hinder another’s path.) 23 All these things have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in curbing and overcoming the temptations of life. (If creation and thinking included no ability to stray.. how much “thinking” would there be?)

And you found them to be false. 3 You have had perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and you haven’t grown weary. 4 But I have against you this, that you have abandoned your first love. 5 Call to mind from where you have fallen and turn and the first results do. If not, however, I will come and remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent/change course. 6 Yet this you have, you hate [miseo - hate, detest, love less] the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Nicolaitans mAy have began as a following of a christian in error, and their works/things they did and believed were scandalous and corrupt.)

7 Whoever has an ear 🌽 let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Plural.)      ..How do we come off victorious? I think there’s one rule, “love God”. Draw near. Pursue Him. Did Jesus give us a ‘formula for success’ on the eve of his crucifixion? A spirituaL formula. WeekLy BooK oF Acts 24 15-27

  a paraphrased study

[Paul is presenting his case and defense against his accusers before the governor Felix, in Caesarea. The hearing had been moved and Paul brought from Jerusalem in order to escape a plot that had been made to kill him.] — 13,14 - “Neither can they prove to you what they now bring up against me (Paul). But this is what I believe (and so teach) - according to the way they call a sect - I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything written in the Law and by the Prophets. 15 And holding this hope in God, my accusers also believe, that there will be resurrection. Of both the just and of the unjust. 16 Therefor I always take pains to have a clear conscience toward God and toward man. 17 After several years of being away, I came to bring gifts for the poor of my nation and to offer sacrifices. 18 And so they found me ritually purified in the temple. And there was no crowd or tumult. But some Jews from Asia— 19 they ought to be here before you to make an accusation, should they have one against me - 20 or let these men here, say what wrongdoing did they find when I stood before their council.  21 Except for this one thing that I cried out while standing among them - ‘It is with respect to the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you this day!’” [Which (deliberately) divided the council in argument, the Pharisees declaring him innocent, the Sadducees disagreeing. The argument became so fierce the Roman commander broke it up “lest they tear Paul to pieces”.]

22 But Felix, having a somewhat accurate knowledge of “the way” put them off, saying, “When Lysias the tribune comes down, I’ll decide your case.” 23 Then he gave orders to the centurion that Paul be kept in custody but with some freedom, and that none of his friends should be prevented from supplying what he needed.

24 Then after some days Felix came back with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish. He sent for Paul and listened to him speak about the faith in Jesus as the Christ (Messiah, Savior, literally “anointed one”]. 25 And as he reasoned about justice, righteousness, self-control and about the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you again.” 26 At the same time he hoped a bribe would be given to him from Paul. So he sent for him often and conversed with him. 27 When two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And wanting to do the Jewish (Hebrew) leaders a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

……

Jesus said - “All those in the tombs/graves will hear God’s voice and will come forth” (from the graves/tombs) “some into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium). And some into the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “eonian correction” Mt.25:46.

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:2-11

2 - (These verses are not in some earliest manuscripts. Perhaps(?) it had been handed down, and added.) Early in the morning Jesus came again to the temple, the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought to Jesus a woman who had been caught in adultery, and 4 they said, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such. What do you say?” 6 This they said to test him, looking for a charge to bring against him. But Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dust. 7 And as they kept asking him, he stood up and said, “Let he who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote in the dust. 9 And then they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones first, and Jesus was left alone with the woman. 10 Jesus stood upright and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.” (‘Legend’ has it that she then followed Jesus, was Mary Magdalene or one of many women who did so.)

8 - See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deception/delusion [apatΓ© - deceit, deception, delusion] according to human tradition, according to principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in him all the fullness of the deity dwells, 10 And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all rule and authority, 11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision and a taking away that is done not by hands, but is by the circumcision of Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, you were also raised (lifted up) with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from death. 13 And you, who were once dead because of trespasses and uncircumcision, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses. 14 Yes he cancelled the record of debt that was against us with its legal demands. He forgave all the debt (which is death) nailing it all to the cross. 15 He disarmed the principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them by openly triumphing over them.

16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. [The “new and Living way” of Christ in us.]

GospeL Verses ~ John 7:37-8:1

Jesus is in Jerusalem for Tabernacles. 37 - On the last day of the feast, the great day (the 8th day, Lev.23:36) Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let them come to me and drink! 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of their heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit/Presence (of God) had not been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. (By rising from death.) 40 When they heard these words, some of the people said, “This truly is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Does Christ come from Galilee? 42 Doesn’t the Scripture say the Christ comes from the line of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” 43 So there was a division among the people concerning him. 44 And some wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.

45 The officers then went to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring him?!” 46 The officers answered, “No one has ever spoke like this man!” 47 The Pharisees said, “Have you also been deceived? 48 Have any of the leaders or Pharisees believed in him? 49 The people don’t know the law and are accursed!” 50 Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before (in the cover of night) and who was one of them, (a Pharisee) said to them, 51 “Does our law judge someone without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?” 52 They replied, “Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that no prophet arises from Galilee.” 53 Then each went to their own house, 8:1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

So instead - The “8th day” in scripture - 6000yrs things run their course - creation is not merely an ant farm, so this all important contrast will run its course - then is “the” millennium, the 7th one thousand years (7th ‘day’).

Circumcision was to be done on the 8th day.

Exodus 22:30 - “same with your oxen and sheep, seven days it shall be with its mother, on the 8th day you shall give it to me.”

Leviticus 9:1 - “on the 8th day the LORD received Aaron’s offering” - Aaron is the first in the priesthood line.

Lev.14:23 - “on the 8th day he shall bring them for cleansing to the priests”

Nehemiah 8:18 - “They kept the Tabernacles feast seven days, and on the 8th day there was a solemn assembly, according to the rule.” (Of Lev.23:36.)

“On the last great day Jesus stood and said “Whoever thirsts.. come to Me” Jn.7:37

What other “Last Great Day” is there than the one after the 7th? Rev.20:11, Dn.7:9-10, Lev.23:36, Rev.21:3, Jn.7:37

GospeL Verses ~ John 7:25-36

25 - Some of the people of Jerusalem that Tabernacles, said, “Is not this the man they are seeking to kill? 26 And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be the authorities really know this is the Christ? 27 But” some said “we know where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from.” 28 So Jesus, as he taught in the temple, said, “You know me, and you know where I come from. But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and he is the one you don’t know. 29 I know him, because I have come from him, and he sent me.” 30 So the leaders were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because it was not yet his hour. 31 Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, “When the Christ appears, will he do more than this man has done?”

32 The Pharisees heard the crowd saying these things about him, and so they and the chief priests sent officers to arrest him. 33 Jesus told the people, “I will be with you only a little longer, and then I am going (back) to he who sent me. 34 You will look for me but you won’t find me. Because where I am you can’t come.” 35 The people said to one another, “Where does he intend to go that we won’t find him? Is he intending to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36 What does he mean by saying, ‘You”ll seek me but you won’t find me,’ and, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

                  ~ Colossians 2:1-7 ~

1 - For I want you (Colossian friends/believers) to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me in person, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged and knit together in love. That they may reach to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, in the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ. 3 In whom is hidden every treasure of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I say this in order that no one may delude you with (quasi) convincing arguments. 5 For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit. And I rejoice to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Jesus. 6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him. 7 Rooted and built up in him, established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with heaven sent gratitude..

GospeL Verses ~ John 7:10-24 ~

10 - Then after his brothers had gone up to the feast of Tabernacles (a weeklong feast/sacred and holy time) he also went, but privately. 11 The people were looking for him and saying, “Where is he?” 12 And there was much talk about him among them. Some said, “He is a good man,” but others said, “No, he is leading the people astray.” 13 Yet for fear of the leaders no one openly spoke about him.

14 At about the middle of the feast, Jesus went into the temple and was teaching. 15 The leaders wondered, saying, “How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?” 16 So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but it’s his who sent me. 17 If anyone's will is to do God's will, they’ll know whether the teaching is from God - or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own renown. But the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there’s no falsehood. 19 Has not Moses given you the law? Yet you don’t keep the law. Why do you seek to kill me?” 20 Then the crowd answered him, “You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill you?” 21 Jesus answered, “I did one work, and you all wonder about it. 22 Yet the law of Moses gave you circumcision, and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If that work can be done so the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry at me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well? 24 Don’t judge by appearance, but judge with righteous (and true) judgment.”

                  ~ Colossians 1:21-29 ~

21 - And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, and acting out, 22 he has now reconciled by his suffering and death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before God, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, being steadfast and stable in it, not shifting from the hope [elpis - expectation] of the gospel/news that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister. 24 I rejoice in my sufferings for the Lord’s church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the calling from God that was given to me, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed. 27 God chose to make known how great among the nations are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which mystery is Christ in you! The hope of glory. 28 It’s him we proclaim, warning all and teaching all, with all wisdom, that we may present all as mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, according to his energy working in me in power.
