08-14 - 1John 3 3-9 Mark 6 30-45

verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

(8TH ‘DAY’ Studies)

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 3:3-9

3 - Everyone who is hoping [elpis - expects, hopes] in him purifies their self as he is pure [hagnos - free of contamination].

     4 Anyone who makes a practice of doing wrong is practicing lawlessness. For sin [hamartia - missing the mark, doing wrong] is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away all missing the mark {and lawlessness}. And in him there is no sin/missing the mark/imperfection. 6 No one who abides in him, keeps doing wrong, or they have not seen him nor known him. (Which equates to “I never knew you”?)

     7 Little children, don’t let anyone mislead you. Whoever practices doing right is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil [diabolos - in secular Greek means "backbiter," i.e. an accuser (slanderer) di谩bolos is literally someone who "casts through," i.e. making charges that bring down (destroy) from diaball贸 - to bring charges with hostile intent] for the devil has been doing wrong from the beginning. {Of creation. God’s patience is shown by his waiting for the first bound to occur rebel thought to not only occur, but to ripen into outright sedition. So “all in heaven and earth” (man and angel) would take this unavoidable journey/lesson all together at once.}

     It’s for this reason the Son

of God appeared and was revealed, to destroy

[lu贸 - loose, release, dissolve] the works [茅rgon - work, deed (action) that carries out and completes the intention and purpose] of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning. God's seed abides in them and they cannot keep on sinning, because they have been born of God.

            馃寵 P.M. Mark 6:30-45

30 - After being sent out, the apostles [apostolos - sent ones] returned and told Jesus all they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to be alone and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no opportunity even to eat. 32 So they went in the boat to a place alone. 33 But many who were there from all the towns, saw them going and ran ahead on foot and got there before them. {Now that’s enthusiasm, I’m totaLLy convinced, his so brief first advent is a small replica of his long second advent!}

     34 When they reached shore, there was a great crowd, and Jesus had compassion, because they were like sheep with no shepherd. And so he taught them many things.

     35 When it grew late, his disciples came and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is late. 36 Should we send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages to find food?” 37 But he answered, “You feed them.” So they said, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread?” 38 And he said, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And so they did, and they came back and said, “Five, and two fish.”

     39 Then he told all sit down in groups on the grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, said a blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples to hand out to the people. And he divided also the two fish among them all.

     42 And they were all satisfied. {Ultimately all of us, with what he teaches us and feeds us. The sheep of his pasture.} 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces of bread and fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were about five thousand.

     45 Then he had his disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he stayed and sent the people away to their homes.

08-06 - From 1Jn-1 Mk-5

8Th ‘Day’ Study, verses R paraphrased [ref] {thots}

1John 1:5-10  Mark 5:1-20

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 1:5-10

5 - This is the message we’ve heard from him and that we proclaim to you - that God is light, and in him is no darkness. No darkness at all.

     6 If we say we have friendship with him while we walk in darkness, we’re deceiving our self and others, and not living the truth. 7 But if we walk in the Light, as he’s in the Light, we have friendship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us {releases} [kathariz贸 - root of catharsis] from all sin [hamartia - missing the mark].

     8 If we say we have no sin {imperfection, falling short, having made mistakes, bad choices, etc} we deceive ourselves, and the truth isn’t in us. 9 If we confess our sins {agree we’re imperfect/miss the mark of perfection} he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us [kathariz贸] from all unrighteousness {all un-rightness! Which is entropy that “doesn’t quit”. So this is a rescue.}. 10 If we say we’ve never fallen short, we make him a liar, and his word {message, truth, logos-logic, reasoning} isn’t in us.

            馃寵 P.M. MARK 5:1-20

1 - When they came to the other side of the sea of Galilee, to the country of the Gerasenes, 2 Jesus stepped out of the boat, and immediately, a man came out from among the tombs and met him. 3 He had an unclean spirit and lived there among the tombs. No one could keep him bound, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been shackled and chained, but he broke the chains apart, and tore the shackles in pieces. There was no one strong enough to subdue him. 5 And night and day he wandered among the tombs and among the hills, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

     6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell down before him. 7 And crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have you to do with me?! Jesus, Son of the Most High God! I beg you by God, don’t torment me!” 8 For Jesus was saying to him, “Come out of the man! You unclean spirit!” 9 And he asked him, “What is your name?” And he replied, “My name is Legion! For we are many!” 10 Then he begged him not to send them out of the country. 11 On the nearby hillside, a large herd of pigs was feeding, 12 and they begged him, “Send us to the pigs, and let us enter them.”

     13 So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came rushing out and entered the pigs, and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned.

     14 The herdsmen ran and told what had happened to the people in the city and the surrounding countryside. And people came to see. 15 And when they came to Jesus and saw the demon possessed man who had had the legion, sitting there, clothed, and in his right mind, they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it repeated to them what had occurred to the man and to the pigs.

     17 Then because they were afraid, the people asked Jesus to go away and leave the region. 18 As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons asked him if he might go with him. 19 But Jesus said, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you. And how he has had kindness upon you.” 20 And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis, the “land of the ten cities” how much Jesus had done for him. And they all marveled.

     [Mark wrote unclean spirit - “pneuma akathartos“  pneuma - wind, spirit, and akathartos, which is “a” without kathartos, root of catharsis - in verses 3 and 8. But demon possessed - “daimonizomai” in vs.18.

     Luke called the man demon possessed - “ech贸 daimonion” Lk.8:27. And having many demons/daimonion, vs.30.] {From Rev.12:3,4,9 - “..a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven (“the stars are angels” Rev.1:20) and cast them to the earth ..the great dragon.. that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world“.

     Rev.13:1, the beast with seven heads and ten horns is his world empires used against the faith “five are fallen, one is (Roman Empire at the time) and one is to come” (after Western Civilization having blocked it is fully overcome) “but it will only remain for a little while - Dan.7:27 and 12:11-12 with Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16. A math riddle.

   Revelation chapter 12 is the 2nd of 3 tellings of the revelation vision. Vs.17 with Mt.23:39. Posting a Rev.12 study soon. These are my own studies.}

Hebrews 2:15-18  Lk.24:49-53, Mk.16:19,20

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 2:15-18

[14 - Since the sons and daughters are flesh and blood, Jesus {“forever first” and the firstborn Son} took on flesh and blood to be like them. He did this so that by dying he would destroy death and the one holding/using its strength, the devil, Greek “diabolos” - “accuser, slanderer in order to cause harm”] 15 - and so, to deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to a life of captivity. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

     17 Therefore it was due benevolence [opheil贸 - owed, was indebted, an obligation] to be like the brothers and sisters in every respect - in order to - be a merciful and faithful high priest in His service to God, and to satisfy the debt [hilaskomai - satisfy debt, pay bill, gain or regain the goodwill or favor of, to appease, atone] for the sins [hamart铆a - noun derived from A - not, and m茅ros - a part, share of – properly, no-share, no part of, loss (forfeiture) because not hitting the target, sin, missing the mark] of the people.  {Ro.11:32 - “God has consigned all to disobedience that he may have mercy upon all.” I’m convinced what needs appeasing is the human conscience.}

      18 And because he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. {Big ‘winds’ these days.. We can be tempted to join the accuser, and the ideas, trends/spirits of “the world”.}

            馃寵 P.M. Lk.24:49-53, Mk.16:19,20

49 - “Look” Jesus said, “I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But wait in the city (Jerusalem) until you’re clothed with power from on high.”

     50 Then walking with them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands Jesus blessed them. 51 And while he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 Then they worshiped, and went back to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And were continually in the temple praising God.

     MARK 16:19 - So then the Lord Jesus, having spoken with them, was taken up into heaven. And he sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they (followers, witnesses) went out and told the message everywhere. And the Lord worked with them, confirming the message with signs [s茅meions - miracles, signs, tokens, wonders].

 Jude 1:7-13  Matthew 28:11-15

            ☀️ A.M. Jude 1:7-13

7 - Like Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, they indulge in sexual immorality and pursue unnatural desires. And those cities are an example of the penalty of the fire aionion suffering [hupech贸 - enduring, undergoing, suffering.] [Aion - is the root word of eon, but has been translated as forever, everlasting, etc.] {Of an age, and time, fire?}

      8 In the same way these dreamers, pollute themselves, set aside authority [kuriot茅s - dominion, lordship, authority] and blaspheme [blasph茅me贸 - speak evil of] celestial powers.

     9 But even when the archangel Michael, reasoned and disputed with the devil [diabolos - accuser, slanderer] about the body of Moses, he didn’t presume to pronounce an insulting judgment {didn’t accuse and slander} but said, “The LORD rebuke you.”

     10 But these {influencers} insult everything they don’t understand, and corrupt themselves with the unreasonable animal instincts they do understand. 11 Woe to them! For they walk in the way of Cain (!) and abandon themselves to Balaam's error for reward [prophesying/teaching what the world wanted to hear] and perish in Korah's rebellion.

     12 These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast {celebrate} with you, without fear themselves shepherding, clouds without water, by winds carried about, autumn trees without fruit, twice dead/perished {doubly accursed} and uprooted, 13 wild waves of the sea, foaming out shame, wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved to {or for?} the age [aion]. [To or for - eis - into, to, towards, for, in order to.]

            馃寵 P.M. Matthew 28:11-15

11 - While the women were going {Jesus having revealed his resurrected self to the women} some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests (leaders) what had happened. 12 And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sum of money to the soldiers 13 and said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14 And if this comes to the governor's ears, we’ll talk to him and keep you out of trouble.” 15 So they took the money and did as they were told. And this story has been spread among the nation to this day.

REVELATION - 12 7-12

N.T. in a year reading & study, verses R paraphrased [  ] references {  } thots

BOOK OF REVELATION

     {After the manchild(/Son of man) was taken up to God’s throne where he will rule with the unbreakable measuring rod of Truth, and the faith had fled, migrated} 7 - War arose in heaven, Michael and his angels warred against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels warred against Michael and his angels. 8 But the dragon hadn’t the strength, and no longer was a place for them found in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent (oR “cherubim” from Ezek.28:12-  “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre {god of this world}.. you were in Eden, the garden of God.. an anointed covering cherub [kerub - an order of angelic beings, cherub, cheribim].

     I appointed you on the holy mountain.. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness [evel or avel or avlah or olah - unrighteousness, injustice] was found in you..”

     (Like David is used as a representation of Christ in prophecy, so too are despotic kings used as a representation of Satan the adversary.)

     9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown to the earth, and his angels were thrown with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come {to the heavens}! For “the accuser” of our brethren has been thrown out {of heaven, not yet Earth} who accused them day and night {right} before our God.

     11 And the brethren overcome him because of the blood of the lamb, and because of [dia - by, because of, for the sake of, by reason of, through] the word of their testimony, and (word for word) (they) not loved the life of them unto death”. {I think may also read? — didn’t love their life that leads to death? Perhaps, in this verse anyway, in Rev.20 is different?馃し馃徏‍♀️} 12 “Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell therein! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come to you in great wrath, because he knows his time is short.” {And total world domination is still the goal. Which has  nothing to do with ‘afterlife’ or that is, between life, i.e. between death and resurrection, and, or later, as it’s resurrection into 2nd advent to serve called reigning, or, towards end of 2nd advent into GWT judgment/“korrection” ‘Day’}.

     07/03 - GospeL Verses

23 - Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years old, being the son, as was supposed, of Joseph, the son of Heli..  24 - 36 …37 the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan, 38 the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

     4:1 - And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit {/Presence of God} returned from the Jordan River and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 and for forty days. And the devil came to tempt him. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were ending, he was hungry. 3 The devil said to him, “If you’re the Son of God, command this stone to become bread!” 4 But Jesus answered, “It’s written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’” 5 And the devil took him up and in a moment of time, showed him all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And then he said to him, “I will give to you all this authority, and their glory, for it’s been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will.” {Hijacked! Confiscated!} 7 “And if you will worship me, it will all be yours!” 8 And Jesus answered him, “It’s written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and him, only, shall you serve.’”

     9 And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said, “If you’re the Son of God, throw yourself down! 10 For it’s written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you,’ 11 and ‘on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

     12 And Jesus answered, “It’s written, ‘You shall not put the LORD your God to the test.’” 13 And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until a later opportune time.

     14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being approved of by all.

     07/02 - GospeL Verses

15 - As the people were wondering and questioning concerning John, whether he might be the Christ, 16 John answered them, saying, “I baptize you with water! But he who is mightier than I is coming! The strap of whose sandals I’m not worthy to untie! He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with {his} fire. 17 His winnowing fork is in his hand! To clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” {Chaff is part of the wheat.. the kernal goes into his barn - “we’re the big door prize” - Jn Prine. And the chaff is blown away in the breeze.. {like what occurs during “the 8th day”. And it’s HE who has the winnowing fork, not an all powerful devil, a pitchfork in his forever kingdom of pain, sorrow, and death, lol.}

     18 And with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people. 19 But Herod the tetrarch (the son of Herod the Great who had tried to destroy/devour Jesus when he was one or two years of age, Rev.12:4, the chapter middle of three tellings of the revelation vision - with Mt.23:39) who had been publicly scolded by him for Herodias, his brother's wife. And added to all the evil he had already done, 20 he locked up John in prison.

     21 When the people were baptized [“preparing the way before him”] and Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, like a dove. And a voice came from heaven saying, “You are my beloved Son, with you I am well pleased.”

    MARK 1:9 - In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River. 10 And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove. 11 And was heard a voice from heaven saying, “You are my beloved Son, and with you, I am well pleased.” [“We shall be like him.”]

     12 Then the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. [First gone rogue one. God, being Life, suffers all things, and endowed thinking and reasoning ability to mankind and angelkind anyway!] And he was with the wild animals {wonder if they were friendly with him?} and the angels ministered to him.

1 - Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit(/Presence of God) into the wilderness to be tested [peiraz贸 - tested, tempted] by the devil. 2 And after fasting for forty days and nights, he was hungry. 3 And at this point, the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to be made into loaves of bread.” 4 But Jesus answered, “It’s written - ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God.’”

     5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the highest point of the temple, 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down! For it’s written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” [Ps.91:11,12]

     7 But Jesus said again, “It is written - ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil [diabolos - devil, accuser, slanderer] {voice of division, accusation ..wars} took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And said to him, “All this, I will give to you. If you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go away Satan! For it’s written - ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him alone shall you serve” [latreu贸 - serve, worship, in the Greco-Roman world, latreu贸 was commonly associated with service to various deities]. 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came.

(migrated) 7 - War arose in heaven, Michael and his angels warred against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels warred against Michael and his angels. 8 But the dragon hadn’t the strength, and no longer was a place for them found in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent (oR “cherubim” from Ezek.28:12-  “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre.. you were in Eden, the garden of God.. an anointed covering cherub [kerub - an order of angelic beings, cherub, cheribim].

10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come! For the accuser of our brethren has been thrown out, who accused them day and night before our God. 11 And they have overcome him through the blood of the lamb, and through the word of their testimony, and (word for word) and (they) not loved the life of them unto death”. (I think we may have misread this? — didn’t love their life that leads to death? Perhaps, in this verse anyway, in Rev.20 is different?馃し馃徏‍♀️) 12 “Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell therein! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come to you in great wrath, because he knows his time is short.”

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 6:46-56

46 - After he had seen them off, he went further into the mountain to be alone to pray. 47 And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea [of Galilee] but he was still on land. 48 He saw that they were struggling. The wind was against them. (And so often such is life.) And at about the fourth watch of the night he went out to them, walking on the water. He meant to pass by, 49 but they saw him and thought it was a ghost, and cried out. 50 For they saw him walking by on the water and they were terrified. But he said, “Take heart! It is I! Don’t be afraid!” 51 And he got into the boat with them, the wind stopped, and they were utterly amazed. 52 For they didn’t understand [suni茅mi - put together, consider, understand, perceive] about the loaves, for their hearts were hardened [p贸ro贸 - petrified, hardened, from p艒ros, a kind of marble) – properly, made of stone; figuratively, insensible, dull, unperceptive, unresponsive]. (Unresponsive.. perhaps struggles of life make us more responsive.. and he gets in, or that is we realize he’s in the boat with us. This in response to the extreme thought that when he calls we should be like - zero. Zero response. I understand we DO NOT earn Life/salvation. That’s the other extreme. But a stone as a bride? I can’t think that’s the way either.)

     53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and anchored to shore. 54 When they got out of the boat, the people immediately recognized Jesus, 55 and they ran about the whole region and began to bring the sick people on their beds to wherever they heard that he was. 56 And wherever he came, in the villages, cities, or countryside, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and implored him that they might touch even the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched were made well. (I rest my case.)

                ~ 1John 3:10-14 ~

10 - By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are (still) children of the devil. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, noR is the one who does not love their fellow (person).

     11 This is the message that you have heard from the beginning! That we should love one another. 12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil [pon茅ros - toilsome, bad] (not good) and his brother's righteous. 13 Don’t be surprised, brothers and sisters, that the world dislikes you. 14 We know we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers and sisters [adelphos - from alpha, a prefix and delphus - womb] (Eve is “the mother of us all” and especially our brothers and sisters believing in the Lord with us). Whoever does not love, is abiding in death.

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 6:30-45

30 - The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to be alone and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. 32 So they went in the boat to a place by theirselves. 33 But many who were there from all the towns, saw them going and ran there on foot and got there ahead of them. (Now thAt’s enthusiasm, I’m totaLLy convinced, his so brief first advent is a small replica of his long second advent!) 34 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion, because they were like sheep with no shepherd. And so he taught them many things. 35 And when it grew late, his disciples came and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. 36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages to buy themselves something to eat.” 37 But he answered, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?” 38 And he said, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 Then he told them all to sit down in groups on the grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and then broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to hand out to the people. And divided the two fish among them all.

     42 And they were all satisfied. (Ultimately all of us, with what he teaches us and feeds us. His sheep.) 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces of bread and fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were about five thousand.

     45 Then he had his disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he sent the crowd away.

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ 1John 3:3-9 ~

3 - Everyone who is hoping [elpis - expects, hopes] in him purifies their self as he is pure [hagnos - free of contamination].

     4 Anyone who makes a practice of sinning is practicing lawlessness. For sin [hamartia - missing the mark, doing wrong] is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins. And in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him, keeps practicing sinning, for they have not seen him nor known him. (Which I think the Lord equates to “I never knew you”.) 7 Little children, don’t let anyone mislead you. Whoever practices doing right and just is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil [diabolos - in secular Greek means "backbiter," i.e. an accuser, calumniator (slanderer) di谩bolos is literally someone who "casts through," i.e. making charges that bring down (destroy) from diaball贸 - to bring charges (usually with hostile intent) — from biblehub dot com] for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. (Of creation. God’s patience.. waiting for the first bound to occur rebel thought to not only occur, but to ripen into outright sedition. So “all in heaven and earth”take this unavoidable journey/lesson all together at once.) For this reason was revealed the Son of God to destroy [lu贸 - loose, release, dissolve] the works [茅rgon - work, deed (action) that carries out and completes the intention and purpose] of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning. God's seed abides in them and they cannot keep on sinning, because they have been born of God.

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:33-47

33 - The Pharisees answered him, “We are the offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved. How is it that you say we will become free?!” 34 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to it. [Sin - hamartia - missing the mark] (is a bondage condition, and to think we don’t miss the mark of perfection, is definitely a bondage). 35 A slave isn’t a part of the household forever. But the Son does. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know you are offspring of Abraham, yet you seek to kill me, because - my word finds no place in you. 38 I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

     39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said, “If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, one who has told you the truth I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. 41 You are doing the works your father does.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father—even God.” 42 Jesus answered, “If God were your Father, you would honor me. For I came from God and I am here. I did not come of my own accord. He sent me. 43 Why is it you do not understand what I say? It’s because - you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 Because you are (still) of your father the devil (until believing/born again, we all are; and now, who do we listen to?) and your will is to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies - he speaks out of his own character - (“slanderer, accuser”.. especially of God) for he is a liar and is the father of lies. 45 But I tell the truth, and you don’t listen/believe me. 46 Which one of you convicts me of sin/missing the mark? If I tell the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear God’s message/word(s) is that you are not (yet) of God.” (See Rev.21:5, but change “all things” back to the original “all”, greek, pas.)

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                  ~ Colossians 3:12-25 ~

12 - Put on then, as holy/sacred and beloved elect of God, hearts of compassion, of kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another. If one has a complaint against another, forgive each other. As the Lord has forgiven, so must we. 14 And above all this - put on love (clothe our self with Love) which binds everything together in perfect and peaceful harmony. 15 And let the peace of Jesus rule in your hearts, to which indeed we are called, as one complete body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching, counseling and warning one another (to stay in “the way”) in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, to God, with thankfulness in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God. 18 The wives be submitted to [hypot谩ss艒 - to place or rank under] your husbands - as is fitting in the Lord. 19 And the husbands, love your wives, and do not be [pikrain贸 - bitter, sharp, harsh] (overbearing?) with them. 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don’t provoke [erethiz贸 - stir up/incite to anger] your children, lest they become discouraged. 22 Bondservants, do all those who are your earthly masters (employers) ask, not as eye-service, and people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, reverencing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance (effect?) as your reward. You are serving the Lord Jesus. 25 For the wrongdoer is paid back for the wrong they do, and there is no partiality.

     Interesting word study: inheritance - kl膿ron贸mos - an heir, apportioned inheritance by the casting of lots – inheritance, awarded by divine lot, i.e. the portion God assigns. (“Elect” by a lucky shake of the heavenly dice? “All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare, 1CoR.15:22.)

  GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 4:1-11

1 - Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and nights, he was hungry, 3 and the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread!” 4 But Jesus answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from God.’” 5 Then the devil [diabolos] took him to the holy city and set him on the highest wing of the temple 6 and said, “If you’re the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it’s written, ‘He will command his angels about you, and they will come and bear you up, lest you even strike your foot against a stone!’ 7 So Jesus said, “Again, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Then again, the devil took him up on a high mountain and showed to him all the kingdoms of the world and all their glory, 9 and said to him, “All this I will give you, if you fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and it is him only you shall serve’” [latre煤艒 - from latris - someone hired to accomplish a technical task because qualified, to render technical, acceptable service because specifically qualified/equipped/outfitted]. 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and ministered to him.

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                    ~ 2 Corinthians 8:1-14

1 - We want you to know, dear friends, about the grace of God that is among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy, and their extreme poverty, have overflowed into a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave even beyond their means, and it was their idea to do so. 4 They asked us earnestly for the privilege of taking part in the relief of the saints— 5 and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves wholly to the Lord and then by the will of God, they gave to us as well. 6 And so we urged Titus, that as he had started this act of grace among you, so he should complete it as well. 7 And so as you abound in all things, in faith, speech, knowledge, earnestness, and in brotherly love, may you abound in this grace as well. 8 And not because of instructions from me, but because of your genuine love and earnestness. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus, that though he was rich, yet for our sake he became poor, so that we by his poverty might become rich! 10 And in this matter I offer my judgment, this indeed profits you, who a year ago started to do this work which you desired to do. 11 So now complete it so it will be an actual well done work. Complete it out of your ability, 12 for the readiness being there, it’s acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he doesn’t have. 13 For it makes no sense if others be relieved, but you burdened. 14 No, your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance later, may come to supply your need. And in that way there will be fairness among us [is贸t膿s – equality likeness, proportional]. (This is not, of course, a sort of oligharchy commune-ism administered by an all powerful, non-perfect, human POWER as RULERS. For heaven forbid there be drought or shortage, which goes along the lines of, “who do those in power tax, their children or the children of others?”)
