            ☀️ A.M. 2 John 1:4-13

4 - I (John) was very happy and rejoiced to see some of your children (group) walking in the Truth! And according to how we’ve been commanded (instructed) by the Father. (As an old man, John called everyone children.) 5 And now I ask you, dear lady (believing group) - not as though I were writing you a new commandment [entolé - commandment, order, instruction] - but the one we’ve had from the beginning - that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk according to his instructions. And this is the command/instruction, just as you’ve heard from the beginning, that which we should walk in. 7 For - many deceivers - are in the world, those who deny the coming of Christ (Messiah) Jesus in the flesh (literally). {1st aNd 2nd??} Such teaching is deception and antichrist. 8 Watch yourselves, so you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win the full prize!

     9 Everyone who runs on ahead and doesn’t stay [menón - remain, abide, stay, continue, dwell] in - the teaching of Christ - does not have God. Whoever abides in - Christ’s - teaching has both the Father and the Son.

     10 If any believer comes to you and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive them nor embrace their message, 11 for whoever does, takes part in their harmful [ponéros - evil, wicked, bad, malicious, hurtful] works.

     12 Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use papyrus and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be full.

      13 The children of your elect sister (group) greet you. (End of this letter.)

25 - Jesus, seeing that a large crowd was beginning to gather, rebuked the unclean spirit. {Entity, angel gone rogue.. a strange offshoot of being able to think and reason, for straying is not logical because God is life.. the life force.. As what else would be? See how all of heaven and all of earth are taking this, often heartbreaking, but unavoidable(?) journey all together at once. One and done? ..Pre-flood was hand off? Not just depraved but extremely eviL? God is justified. Death is a sleep. And logically(?) they will thank him for the sleep.}

     He said to the spirit “Spirit of muteness [alalos - speechless] and deafness [kóphos] I command you! Come out of him and don’t enter him again.”

     26 Then after crying out and convulsing him, the spirit came out. And the boy lay there like he was dead, so many then said, “He’s dead!” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, raised him up, and he stood.

     28 Later when Jesus had gone into the house, his disciples asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?” 29 He answered, “This kind you can’t drive out but by prayer.”

     30 A little later they went on from there, passing through Galilee. And he didn’t want anyone to know, 31 for he was telling his disciples, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. But after three days he will rise.” 32 But they didn’t understand what he meant, and they were afraid to ask.

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 2:11-14

11 - Whoever hates [miseó - to hate, detest, love less, esteem less despises] their brother [adelphos - from the same womb] {all from Eve, their fellow person/others} IS in the dark. And walking in darkness, not knowing where they stumble, because the darkness has blinded their eyes.

    12  I (John) am writing to you, little children because for his name's [onoma - authority, CAUSE, name’s] sake, your sins/“missing the mark” is forgiven. 13 I’m writing to you, fathers, because you’ve known he who is from the beginning. [And what he taught - Adam Clarke Commentary.] I’m writing to you, young men, because you’ve overcome the evil one. I’m writing to you, children, because you know the Father.

     14 I write to you, fathers, because you know he who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you’re strong, and the word of God lives/abides in you, and (so) you overcome the evil one.

49 - While Jesus was still walking and teaching, someone from the Jairus’ house came and said, “Your daughter has died, don’t trouble the teacher any longer.” 50 But Jesus heard and said, “Don’t fear. Just believe. And she’ll be well.”

     51 When they came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter, John and James, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 And the people who had gathered, were weeping and mourning, but he said, “Don’t weep. She’s not dead but sleeping.” {The big sleep.}

     53 And they laughed at him, for they knew she had died {perished, hades-not seen, state of being gone, God is Life and “is perfect” mt.5:48, thus this sad state of affairs, this contrast (imperfection/entropy)}. {And slow gehenna. Before death, not after. Though second resurrection rises as mortal? It has to doesn’t it?}

     54 Taking her by the hand he said, “Child, arise.” 55 And her spirit [pneuma - spirit, wind, breath] returned, and she got up at once. And he told them to give her something to eat. 56 And her parents were amazed, but he told them not to tell anyone what had happened.

1 - My little children (John is now an old man) I’m writing these things to you so you may not miss the mark, the goal. But if anyone does, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He’s the propitiation [hilasmos - atonement, expiation-took on the penalty] (and wage, result, which is death/non existence) for our sins [hamartia - missing the mark] and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. [“But death could not hold HIM!” Acts 2:24.]

     3 And by this we know we have come to know him, if we do the things he says [entolé - instructs, orders, commands, instructions]. 4 Someone who says “I know him” but doesn’t follow after him is claiming a falsehood, and the truth is not {yet} in them. 5 But whoever keeps his words, in them truly, the love of God is being perfected. And by this - we can know we are abiding in him.

21 - And when the boat had crossed back to the other side, again a great crowd gathered by the shore to meet them. 22 Then came along a leader of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet 23 and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death! Come and lay your hands on her, so she may be made well and not die.”

     24 And so he went with him. And the crowd went with them, crowding about him. 25 And in the crowd was a woman who had had a bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered much under many different doctors, and had spent all she had, and was no better off but had only grown worse. 27 She had heard the reports about Jesus and she came up behind him and touched his garment. 28 For she thought, “If I but touch his clothing, I will be made well!” 29 And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed.

     30 And Jesus, knowing power had gone out from him, turned around and said, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 And his disciples said, “This crowd is pressing around you, and you say, ‘Who touched my clothes?’” 32 But he looked around to see who it was.

    33 And the woman, knowing what had happened within her, came trembling and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well! Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” {In the same way to all.. and “he is savior of the world” and he “will draw all”1Jn.4:14, Jn.12:32.}

     35 While he was still speaking, there came from the synagogue leader’s home, messengers who said, “Your daughter has died. Don’t trouble the teacher any longer.” 36 But hearing, Jesus said to him, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.”

     37 And he allowed no one to follow him except Peter and the brothers James and John. (The three were fishermen together with at least two boats, with John and James’ father. Jesus had called the brothers “sons of thunder”.)

     38 And they came to the house where people were wailing and weeping. 39 But Jesus said, “Why are you making a commotion? And doing all this weeping? The child is not dead but sleeping.”

     40 And they laughed at him. But he put them all outside and took the child's father and mother and those who were with him and they went in where the child was. 41 And taking her by the hand he said, “Talitha cumi,”which means, “Little girl, to you I say, arise.” 42 And immediately the girl got up and began walking around, for she was twelve years of age, and they were overcome with amazement. 43 And he told them that none should know of it, and said to give her something to eat.

7 - By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. (It took many decades to build, Gen.5:32,6:6.) And by this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes {and is received} by faith. {Noah was a preacher of righteousness” 2Pet.2:5 .. Jesus “went via the Spirit? while the ark was being prepared/built” 1Pet.3:19. Before then, was hands off and first proof? Note: death is a sleep, Jn.5:28-29.}

     27 But I say to you who hear - Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. 28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who abuse you.

ACTS 4 1-22

     Book of the Acts of the First Believers

1 - Peter and John were still at the temple talking to the people, when some priests, the captain of the temple guard, and some Sadducees came around. 2 They were angry because they were teaching the people that the dead would be raised from death! As Jesus had been.

     3 It was late afternoon and they arrested Peter and John and put them in jail for the night. 4 But a lot of people who had heard the message believed it, and so now there were about 5,000 followers of the Lord.

     5 The next morning the leaders, the elders, and the teachers of the Law of Moses {those in power} called a council in Jerusalem. 6 The high priest Annas was there, as well as Caiaphas, also John, Alexander, and other members of the high priest's family. 7 They brought in Peter and John and made them stand in the middle of the room while they questioned them. They asked, “By what power and in whose name have you done this!?”

     8 Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} and told the leaders, 9 “You are questioning us today about a kind deed. A man who couldn’t walk was healed! 10 Let it be known to you and all of Israel, that this man is standing here completely well because of the power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth. You crucified him. But God raised him to life.

     11 He is the stone you builders thought of as worthless, but he’s the most important foundation stone” {of all creation, called First/Proto. A foundation stone is laid first}. 12 “Only Jesus has the power to save! His name is the only name in all the world that can save] [sózó - save, rescue, deliver, heal, preserve] anyone.” {From death and its cause imperfection/entropy, God being Life and “is perfect” Mt.5:48. No option to stray, and humanity would be an ant farm, so “God is savior..” 1Tim.4:10.}

     13 The officials were amazed to see how bold Peter and John were! And they knew they were only ordinary men with not much education, but also knew they had been with Jesus. 14 And they couldn’t deny what had happened. The man who had been healed was there, standing with Peter and John.

     15 They ordered them to leave the council room. Then they said to one another, 16 “What can we do with these men? Everyone in Jerusalem knows about this miracle, and we can’t say it didn't happen. 17 But to keep this thing from spreading, we’ll command them not to speak to anyone about the name of Jesus again.” 18 So they called the two back in and told them they must not teach in the name of Jesus.

     19 But Peter and John answered, “Do you think God wants us to obey you? Or to obey him? 20 We cannot keep quiet, about what we have seen and heard.”

     21The council could find no good reason to hold or to punish Peter and John. So they threatened them and let them go. 22 The man who was healed was more than 40 years old, and everyone was praising God for the miracle.

[14 - Since the sons and daughters are flesh and blood, Jesus {“forever first” and the firstborn Son} took on flesh and blood to be like them. He did this so that by dying he would destroy death and the one holding/using its strength, the devil, Greek “diabolos” - “accuser, slanderer in order to cause harm”] 15 - and so, to deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to a life of captivity. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

     17 Therefore it was due benevolence [opheiló - owed, was indebted, an obligation] to be like the brothers and sisters in every respect - in order to - be a merciful and faithful high priest in His service to God, and to satisfy the debt [hilaskomai - satisfy debt, pay bill, gain or regain the goodwill or favor of, to appease, atone] for the sins [hamartía - noun derived from A - not, and méros - a part, share of – properly, no-share, no part of, loss (forfeiture) because not hitting the target, sin, missing the mark] of the people.  {Ro.11:32 - “God has consigned all to disobedience that he may have mercy upon all.” I’m convinced what needs appeasing is the human conscience.}

      18 And because he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. {Big ‘winds’ these days.. We can be tempted to join the accuser, and the ideas, trends/spirits of “the world”.}

49 - “Look” Jesus said, “I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But wait in the city (Jerusalem) until you’re clothed with power from on high.”

     50 Then walking with them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands Jesus blessed them. 51 And while he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 Then they worshiped, and went back to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And were continually in the temple praising God.

     MARK 16:19 - So then the Lord Jesus, having spoken with them, was taken up into heaven. 9 - We see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels! {Remember Melchizidek.} But then we see him crowned with glory and honor because of his suffering of death. By the grace of God, he suffered death for all. 10 For it was fitting, that he, for whom and by whom, all exist, in bringing many to glory, should make the captain [archégos - pioneer] of their salvation [sótéria - deliverance, safety] {tested, tempered to} perfect, through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies {by his suffering} and those who are sanctified, are all of one. That’s why he’s not ashamed to call them brethren [adelphos - of the same womb, brother, also sister].

     17 Then he said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” so he said to him, “Lord! You know everything! You know I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

     18 “Truly, I tell you, when you were young, you would dress yourself and go wherever you wanted, but when you’re old, you’ll stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you don’t want to go.” 19 This he said to show by what kind of death he would suffer, but glorify God by. And after saying it, he said, “Follow me.” {Be sure to follow me, and you will be able to feed my sheep nourishing food at the proper time. ..And noT be found confused with the confused, aka with “the world”, noR found of him beating up on other members of the household, the sheep (in word, thought or deed) Mt.24:48-49, but vs.51 would be “separated to” the other role. There are many enchantments? It really doesn’t matter which overcomes? A little leaven leavens the whole lump?}

    20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them. (This is how John, the author, referred to himself.) The one who also had leaned back against him during supper that last (supper) night, and said, “Lord, who is it that’s going to betray you?”

     21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said, “If it’s my will he remain until I come, what’s that to you? You follow me.” 23 So after a while the saying spread among the brothers and sisters that this disciple wouldn’t die. Yet Jesus didn’t say he wasn’t going to die, but, “If it’s my will he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

     24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about all these things, and who has written this account of them, and we know his testimony is true. {Saw it with his own eyes.} 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did. But if every one of them were to be written, I suppose the world itself couldn’t contain the books that would be written. {Imagine all that will be accomplished during long second advent! As literal as the first.}
