            John 21:16-25

16 Jesus asked a second time, “Simon (Peter) son of John, do you love Me?” “Yes, Lord,” he answered, “You know I love You.” Jesus responded, “Shepherd My sheep.”

17 A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.

18 I tell you truly” he continued, “when you were a young man, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will hold out your hands and others will wrap your belt around you and lead you where you don't want to go." 19 Jesus said this to tell how Peter would die and bring honor to God. Then he said to Peter, "Follow me."

20 Peter turned around and saw behind them the disciple Jesus loved—the one (Jn.) who had leaned over to Jesus during supper and asked, “Lord, who will betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You, follow me.” 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die, he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?” 24 This disciple is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his testimony is true. 25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. (End of the Good News account of John, disciple of Jesus.)

           ~ Hebrews 2:9-11 ~

9 What we now see is Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and by whom all  are, should make the pioneer/archtype [arxฤ“gรณs - from arxแธ— - the first/proto and รกgล - to lead, properly, the first in a long procession, who pioneers the way for many others to follow, leader] of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. (Like tempered metal.)

11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. [Another version - So now Jesus and the ones he makes holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.]
