            Luke 1:46-56

46 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the LORD! 47 And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he took notice of his lowly maiden, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 49 For he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. 50 From generation to generation he shows mercy to those who honor him. 51 He has shown strength with His arm! He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy. [All believers are “grafted and transplanted into Israel”]. 55 as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed to the age. [“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise” Gal.3:29.]

     56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.

1 - Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us be careful not to come short of it. 2 We’ve heard the message, just as they did. But they failed to believe what they heard, and so the message didn’t do them any good. 3 Now we who have believed enter that rest! Just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall not enter my rest.’” [Or “shall they enter my rest?!”] AND YET(!) his works have been finished, since the creation of the world. [There is no mention, no word, in verse 3 that means ‘never’.]
