John 20:19-29
[From Johnโs account.] 19 Then on the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, โPeace be with you!โ 20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. And they were filled with joy when they saw him! 21 Again he said, โPeace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.โ 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, โReceive the Holy Spirit (/Presence of God). 23 If you (Spirit filled apostles) forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.โ
24 One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), was not there with the others that evening. 25 They told him, โWe have seen the Lord!โ But he replied, โI wonโt believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.โ
26 Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked, but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. โPeace be with you,โ he said. 27 Then He said to Thomas, โReach here with your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand and put it into my side. And be not unbelieving, but believe. 28 Thomas answered him, โMy Lord and my God!โ 29 Then Jesus told him, โBecause you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.โ

Paul continues - the Superiority of Jesus over angels โ 10 The Scriptures also say, "In the beginning, Lord, YOU were the one who laid the foundation of the earth and created the heavens. 11 They will perish/be destroyed [apollumi - to destroy, ruin] but You remain. And all grows old like a garment. [All matter is fading, falling apart.] 12 Like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. [Rev.21:1, 2Pet.3:12-13 - โthe elements will melt.. a new heavens and a new earthโ..] But You remain the same, and Your years never end.โ
13 And to which of the angels has He ever said, โSit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feetโ? 14 Are the angels not all ministering spirits sent out in service for the sake of those who are about to inherit [klฤronomรฉล - to assign inheritance by casting lots, inherit] salvation? (From death and all that causes it.)
