          John 16:17-33

17 The disciples were asking one another what he (Jesus) meant when he said soon they wouldn’t see him, and then they would see him because he was going to the Father. 18 And what he meant by ‘a little while’. 19 Jesus knew they wanted to ask him, so he said, “Are you wondering among yourselves what I meant when I said you won’t see me, then you will? 20 Truly, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. 21 A woman who is about to give birth (to new life) is in pain in that hour. But when the child enters the world, she doesn’t remember her tribulation, but rejoices that a new person has been born. 22 And so shall you grieve, but I will see you again, your hearts will rejoice and you will have joy that no one can take from you. 23 And in that ‘day’ you will not ask me, but you will ask the Father and he will give do it for you in my name (and cause). 24 Up until now you have not asked for anything in my name, ask, and you shall receive, so that your joy may be full. 25 I have spoken these things to you in parable and allegory, but the hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in parables, but I will speak plainly to you about the Father. 26 In that day, you will ask in my name. And it’s not that I shall ask the Father for you, 27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from the Father. 28 I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world. Again I leave the world and go to the Father.”

29 “Now you are speaking to us plainly” the disciples said, “and not only in parable. 30 Now (then) we know that you understand all things, and have answered our questions. We know that you came from the Father.” 31 “Now do you believe?” Jesus said. 32 “The hour is coming and is now, when you shall scatter, each to their own, leaving me alone, but I won’t be alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have spoken these things so that in me you will have joy. In the world is tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

7 Don’t worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, “The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and rose up to play.” 8 Avoid all such immoral sexual indulgence, like theirs, when 23,000 fell in a day. 9 Nor should we put Christ to the test, as some of them did, and had no protection from snakebites, and died. 10 Nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer. 11 These things now serve as an example, and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the age has come. (That age of paganism rule ending, to Christianity changing (a third of?) the world; and this age of Western Civilization, once called Christendom, ending, paganism returning, fully ripening to dissolution, aka, the culmination of all history.) 12 Anyone who thinks they are standing firm should take heed, lest they fall. (Paganism is a very strong spirit, and spirits.) 13 The temptations of life are the same as all of mankind experience. God is faithful and will not allow the temptation to be more than you can bear. When we are tempted, he provides a way out so that we can endure.

15 When one of those who reclined at table with him heard these things, he said to him, “Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!” [Many versions say - “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.” But originally, it’s “will eat bread in the kingdom”.] 16 Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. 17 When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ 18 But they all began making excuses. One said, ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ 19 Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please excuse me.’ 20 Another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’ 21 So the servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household, became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and the lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and the disabled and the blind and the lame.’ 22 Soon the servant said, 'Your order has been carried out, sir, but there is room for more.' 23 So the master said to the servant, 'Go out to the country roads and lanes and make people come in, so that my house will be full. 24 For I tell you, none of those who were invited shall taste my supper.’”

And may your spirit, soul, and body be kept healthy and faultless until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.  24 He who calls you is faithful, he will surely do it. 25 Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brothers and sisters with a sacred kiss. 27 I urge you by the authority of the Lord to read this letter to all the believers. 28 And the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!            Luke 14:7-14

7 Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor, saying to them, 8 “When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? 9 The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table! 10 When you are invited to be a guest, go and sit in the worst place. Then the one who invited you may come and say, "My friend, take a better seat!" You will then be honored in front of all the other guests. 11 For everyone exalting their self will be humbled, and the one humbling their self will be exalted." 12 Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, don’t just invite your friends, your brothers and sisters, your relatives, and your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. 13 When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind, 14  and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For then you will be rewarded in the resurrection of the righteous/just” [dikaios - correct, righteous, by impl. innocent]. [Romans 4:3-5 — What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God. And it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift, but is something they have earned. And to the one who does not work (to earn righteousness) but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness. (It’s a gift, and nobility plus humility receives the gift. This is also why Hebrews 4 says Jesus is our Sabbath.

1 - Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. [Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you.] 2 For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (Unexpectantly, stealthily?) 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you! Brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night nor to the darkness. 6 So be on your guard, not asleep like others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. 7 Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Imo, cause and - effect - including the final, the bowls of Revelation.) 10 Who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will be with Him. 11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you have been doing. 12 Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. 13 Esteem them highly, and in love, because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

1 - Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 3 Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! 4 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who has authority, with the killing, to cast into Gehenna (an earthly valley W. and South of Jerusalem). Yes, I say to you, fear Him. (Who actually can thoroughly destroy. But doesn’t. Considering so many other verses and His character and attributes, and logic. After all) 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (And Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners, still tares/wild weeds in his garden.) 8 “And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, 9 but whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man is? will be? forgiven, but whoever is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is not forgiven. 11 When you are brought to trial, or before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

Their corrosion will testify against you and devour you like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days! (Lots of wealth ever going upward one way or another?) 4 Look! The wages that you kept back from the workers who labored for you are shouting out against you! And their cries have reached the ears of the Lord all powerful. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for a day of slaughter. (At Gehenna? Two, 70 A.D. and?) 6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent, who couldn't even fight back. 7 Be patient, therefore, brothers and sisters. Until the coming of the Lord. 37 As Jesus was speaking, one of the Pharisees invited him home for a meal. So he went in and took his place at the table. 38 His host was surprised to see that he sat down to eat without first performing the hand-washing ritual required by Jewish custom. (A manmade rule.) 39 Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside are full of plundering and wickedness. 40 You senseless [รกphrลn – an adjective, derived from A - without, and phrแธ—n - inner perception; lack of insight and knowledge] ones. Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But now as for what is within, give charity [eleรฉmosunรฉ - mercy, pity, gifts] (instead of plundering) and behold, all, will become clean. 42 What sorrow awaits you Pharisees! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore justice and the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. 43 Woe to you Pharisees, for you love to sit in the seats of honor in the synagogues and receive respectful greetings as you walk in the marketplaces. 44 But you are in for trouble, for you are like unmarked graves that people walk on without knowing it. 45 One of the experts in the law (a professional?) a teacher of the law of Moses, answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also!” 46 “Yes,” said Jesus, “what sorrow also awaits you experts in religious law, for you load people with burdens hard to bear, but you yourselves will not lift a finger to touch the burden. (Big double standard.) 47 Woe to you, because you build monuments for the prophets, and it was your ancestors who killed them. 48 So you are witnesses and approve of what they did, and you build their tombs.  49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them, but they will kill some and persecute the others.’ 50 As a result, this generation” (who even then were plotting to have Jesus executed) “will be held responsible for the murder of all God’s prophets from the creation of the world, 51 from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation.” (EARTHLY judgment, 70 A.D.) 52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You do not enter yourselves, and you hinder others from entering.” 53 As Jesus was leaving, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees became hostile and tried to provoke him with many questions, 54 wanting to catch him in something he might say.

(Doesn’t sound like torture by fire to me. More like a great day of review and closure of all things, concerning all generations of all nations and tribes. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can shine for all who enter the house. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light. But when it is unhealthy, your body will be filled with darkness. 35 So be sure your light isn't darkness. 36 If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” (And peace and joy.)

         Luke 11:14-28

14 One day Jesus cast out a demon from a man who couldn’t speak. When the demon was gone, the man began to speak and the crowds were amazed. 15 But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons.” (This seems to have been going around.) 16 Others wanted to put Jesus to the test. So they asked him to show them a sign from God. 17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined [erรฉmoรณ - desolated] and a house divided against itself will fall. 18 And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say I cast out the demons by Beelzebul. 19 Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers drive them out? Therefor they will be your judges. 20 But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. (He is the arrival of the kingdom.) 21 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own home, his goods are safe. 22 Until someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings. 23 Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.”

24 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ 25 And when it arrives there, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than before.” (Fill the cleaned up house with God’s Spirit/Presence.)

27 As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother—the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!” 28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God! And obey it.” (Thus filling their house.)

1 - [Carnality] What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from the passions at war within you? 2 - You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and will even kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. [The carnal and mortal human character - and the world! - and is why power corrupts so checks on powers by balancing them against each other is safer than centralized power. But according to prophecy, power will be held by a few, Rev.17:16. The two that become upon all 7 hills/continents -> the many headed geopolitical beast who rose from the sea of humanity, and $ity Babble (on and on). An oligharchy, yet, will war with each other, Rev.17:16 - Socialism will finally destroy (and “devour” deplete) Capitalism.] ..Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. [Another version - You want something you don't have, and you will do anything to get it.. But you still cannot get what you want, and you won't get it by fighting and arguing. You should pray for it.] [“Ask, seek, knock.”] 3 Yet even when you do pray, your prayers are not answered, because you are praying out of selfishness and self interest. 4 You unfaithful believers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, if you want to be a friend [philรญa – friendship, friend] of the world, you make yourself an enemy of [echthra - hostility, from  exthros - at war with] God. 5 Do you doubt the Scriptures that say, "God truly cares about and jealously guards the Spirit he has put in us"? 6 So God treats us with even greater kindness, just as the Scriptures say, "God opposes the one who is proud, but he blesses all who are humble, with unearned grace."  [Another version - “So he gives greater grace.”]

13 “What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented long ago. They would have dressed in sackcloth and put ashes on their heads. 14 Yes, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment ‘day’ than you. 15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades. [Hades is the greek translation from sheol “where there’s no doing nor thought”. A direct translation proves it is the same sheol. Acts 2:27 - “You will not leave my soul in Hades..” is a word for word quote of Psalm 16, verse 10 - “You will not leave my soul in Sheol..”. Except for the one word, making hades the same old sheol. Another word, besides sheol and hades, that got translated by those crazy hell chasers into the word “hell” is “pit”. Even when “the dust of” is in the verse! A perfect spot for “rofl” but it’s not all that funny. It’s the adversary who says “I will ascend/go up to heaven, yippee we will all go up to heaven!” Not once does the scripture say that. And the “fiery hell” is obviously prophecy. The “long sword” given to horseman of the apocalypse two, the rider on the red horse of war. It’s first unleashing was as fat man and little boy, then four angels hold back the winds, and are still holding while the servants of God are sealed on their foreheads (clarity?!). Rev.7:1,3,9,4. THE just previous seal 6 - first thermonuclear event - is veiled as to what it SO obviously is, and first event was (imo). How is it lightly veiled? By describing the full thermonuclear effects on planet earth from first occurrence to total last events (7 thunders?) at the ‘end’. By its description being a blend of its first ‘limited’ occurrence, and its full blown occurrence later. — Though an interruption of it being held back, will be followed by the seven year ‘peace! peace!’ broken in the middle with Israel, against Israel, Daniel 12:11-12. And also! Don’t worry, as the final bowls of it ‘come down’ is when the believers ‘go up’ to “meet the Lord” 1Thes.4:17. “The flame will not kindle upon you” Is.43:3, Rev.7:16.) And of course it is the adversary who stands in front of God - in the human psyche - as the hell breathing, vengeful Thor like, and burn people alive forever with no relief god. Like the ancient city-state gods so intent upon making so many wars.]

Verse 16 - Then he said to the disciples, “Whoever listens to you listens to me, whoever rejects you rejects me. And anyone who says "no" to me is really saying "no" to the one who sent me.” 17 It was at about this time, the seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons obeyed when we spoke in your name!" 18 “Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing will harm you.” (Nothing ‘this side of life’ will harm us. We shall all survive intact.. Two full ages follow apocalypse to fulfill fully all God’s purpose - rational beings able to think, reason and make choices, aNd a forever intact paradise/perfection. The Kingdom comes to Earth, Rev.21 and 22, though chapter 22 has narrative in it that is (spoken) outside of the vision, portraying INITIAL conditions for SOME at “the judgment” age (aion). 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this! That the spirits are subject to you! But rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

1 - Jesus was standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret (Galilee) teaching the people as they crowded around him to hear God's message.  2 Near the shore he saw two boats left there, the fishermen had gone to wash their nets. 3 Jesus got into the boat that belonged to Simon Peter and asked him to row it out a little way from the shore. Then he sat down in the boat and taught the crowd. 4 When he had finished speaking, he told Simon, "Push out into deep water, and lower your nets for a catch."

5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 When they had done so, they caught so many fish their nets began to break! 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full they began to sink.

8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell to his knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken. (Jesus had just recently called them. They were disciples/students of him, walking about with him, but still sometimes doing their daily work. Jesus does a miracle that reaches these fishermen exactly where they are at.) 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus told Peter “Don’t be afraid, I am going to make you to be fishers of men [anthropos]”. 11 And after they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him. (Practically speaking, the huge catch of fish would provide during their traveling about.)

21 - In the same way, he (Moses) sprinkled both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 22 Indeed, according to the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and sins are forgiven only through blood poured out. (THE thing strong enough to convince the human conscience.) 23 Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but (consider how much more so) the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one. He entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. 32 They were amazed at his teaching, because he spoke with authority. 33 And in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm. 36 Amazed, the people exclaimed, “What authority and power this man’s words possess! Even evil spirits obey him, and they flee at his command!” 37 And the news about him spread throughout the surrounding area. 38 Jesus left the synagogue and went to Simon's home. When Jesus got there, he was told that Simon's mother-in-law was sick with a high fever. 39 So Jesus went over to her and ordered the fever to go away. Right then she was able to get up and she served them a meal. 40 As the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. 41 Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. 42 At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. 43 But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” 44 And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

6 So every day the priests would go into the outer tent [tabernacle] [God is going to tabernacle with us! He is a Spirit. A Presence. Him. Love, Life. Genius. Source of everything good. The good is forever, eternal, real.] It’s how the Sacred tent - and later, the temple - was set up and arranged. [Table with bread, lampstand in the outer tent, and the inner tent of the Presence of God with the “ark and mercy seat”. Earlier in this letter, Hebrews, told how Jesus our high priest goes into the inner tent, called the Most Holy, ahead of us and on our behalf.. He is the ark. We are all safe in the ark. God says enter his presence with boldness!๐Ÿ˜ฎ “Every knee will bend, every tongue will swear allegiance to God” - allegiance. Joyfully, with heart overflowing, we will all swear allegiance to Him. Isaiah, verse 45:23 says God said that as an oath. Swore an oath in his own name - because there’s nothing higher to swear by.. oath, promise, and the word translated hope, is elpis - expectation. We have one rule, love God. Trust, get in line, make his way straight. Straight to our heart and mind.]

7 Only the high priest went into the inner tent, and only once a year. He took with him blood which he offered to God on behalf of himself, and for the errors of the people. (Strong medicine. The guilty conscience is a tricky thing. And remember all have to be reached.)

8 The Holy Spirit was showing us by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been revealed as long as the first part of the tent was still standing. 9 It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper. 10 These rules are merely about such things as eating and drinking and ceremonies for washing. And rules about physical things will last only until the new (new way).

       Luke 4:16-30

16 When Jesus came to the village of Nazareth, his boyhood home, he went as usual to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures. 17 The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it is written, 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 and to say, 'This is the year the Lord has chosen.'" [ Or, “to announce the year of the Lord's favor."] 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone were fastened upon him. 21 And he said, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. But they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” 23 Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in your hometown what we have heard you did in Capernaum.’ 24 Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown. 25 There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months.” (Another little noticed 3.5, Rev.12:16, chapter’s an insert/total history w/ Mt.23:39.) “And a severe famine came over all the land. 26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, except to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27 And many in Israel had leprosy in the time of the prophet Elisha, but the only one healed was Naaman, a Syrian.”

28 When they heard this, the people in the synagogue were furious. 29 And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him over the cliff. 30 But passing through their midst, He went on His way.

[Apollo (the likely author) is writing to the “twelve Hebrew tribes scattered”.] 11 - “No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12 For I will forgive their evildoing and remember their sins  (terrible doings) no more.” [Quote of Jer.31:34. Hab.2:14 - “Knowledge of the LORD will cover the earth like water covers the seas”.]

13 When the LORD talks about a new agreement, he means that the first one is out of date. And what is obsolete and aging, soon disappears.

9:1 - The first promise included rules for worship and a tent for worship here on earth. 2 A tabernacle (tent) was set up. In its first room was the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread, this was called the Holy Place. 3 Then there was a curtain, and behind the curtain was the second room called the Most Holy Place, 4 which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant (tablets of Moses). 5 On top of the chest were the glorious creatures with wings spread out above and over the place of mercy. But now isn't the time to go into detail about these (particular) things.. [The most holy place is where the high priest went in annually, once a year, to meet with God. At Jesus’ death, there was an earthquake, and the heavy curtain between the holy place and the most holy place, was torn in half.]

         Luke 3:7-14

7 When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said, “You brood of snakes! Who warned you to flee the coming wrath?” (Likely to the leaders of the Pharisee and Sadducee parties, and referring to the bound to occur final fall of the nation and its leadership. Though he did expect RESULTS from those coming out to listen and be baptized.) 8 “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham! 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Of 70 A.D./CE, noT a mythical, afterlife, never ending torture pit.)

10 And the crowds asked him, “What shall we do?” 11 John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.” 12 Even the tax collectors came to be baptized and asked, “Teacher, what should we do?” [Hebrew tax collectors for Rome! Were especially disliked by the people.] 13 John told them, "Don't make people pay more than they owe." 14 Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.”

11 - If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical (Levi) priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people, is what established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? [The person who served as high priest, was from the descendants of Aaron, who was of the tribe of Levi (a Levite).] [Jesus being “the” forever high priest.] (Key word, perfection - teleiรณsis - completion, fulfillment, perfection, consummation which focuses on the final fulfillment, end-phase of the consummation process – see the correlating noun form tel/telos - which means “end-aim”.)

12 When the priesthood is changed, the law changes also. [From a commentary at biblehub dot com (Benson’s) - “The priesthood was changed by raising up from another tribe a priest after the order of Melchisedek, whose services had for their object to purify the conscience of the worshippers, not by the sacrifice of beasts, but by the sacrifice of himself, and to sanctify their souls (heart, personhood) by the influences of the Holy Spirit.”] — The “new and living way” which results in change from within. No longer only imposed from without.. which can never do the full job!

          Matthew 1:18-25

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about - His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19 Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 Then after the child is born, name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." [Joseph was to act as father and protector.]

22 All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet. 23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son (Rev.12:1, chapter’s an insert/total history, Mt.23:39) and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” [Jesus/Iesous (the greek) and Old Testament Joshua/Y’shua (the hebrew) means “salvation” (deliverance).] 24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. (He “believed”.) 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

4 For the LORD has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5 And in the other passage he said, “They shall not enter my rest.” 6 Showing that God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed. (They didn’t follow through, because they didn’t actually “believe”.) 7 Again, a certain day he appoints, and calls it “today”, through David saying, after so long a time, just as it has been said today, "Today, if you should hear His voice, do not harden your heart."

             John 21:7-15

7 Then the disciple Jesus loved (John as an old man referred to himself that way:) said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around himself (for he had taken it off) and he jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. 9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread. 10 “Bring some of the fish you’ve caught,” Jesus said. 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 “Come, have breakfast,” Jesus said.

None of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?” For they knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus took the bread, gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. 14 This was the third time Jesus had appeared to his disciples since he had been raised from the dead.

15 After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than all this?”

“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”

Jesus answered, “Then feed my lambs”.

4 And God confirmed the message (the “Good News For All”)  by giving signs and wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will. 5 It is not to angels that he has subjected - the world to come - (Rev.21:1) about which we are speaking. 6 But somewhere it is testified in these words - “What is man (anthropos) that You take thought of him, and the son of man (aka, mortal man) that you care for them? 7 Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels. You crowned them with glory and honor. 8 You gave them authority over all things.” (Ps.8:4-6)

Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under man’s (anthropos) authority.

           John 20:19-29

[From John’s account.] 19 Then on the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. And they were filled with joy when they saw him! 21 Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit (/Presence of God). 23 If you (Spirit filled apostles) forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

24 One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), was not there with the others that evening. 25 They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.”

26 Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked, but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand and put it into my side. And be not unbelieving, but believe. 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Paul continues - the Superiority of Jesus over angels — 10 The Scriptures also say, "In the beginning, Lord, YOU were the one who laid the foundation of the earth and created the heavens. 11 They will perish/be destroyed [apollumi - to destroy, ruin] but You remain. And all grows old like a garment. [All matter is fading, falling apart.] 12 Like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. [Rev.21:1, 2Pet.3:12-13 - “the elements will melt.. a new heavens and a new earth”..] But You remain the same, and Your years never end.”

13 And to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? 14 Are the angels not all ministering spirits sent out in service for the sake of those who are about to inherit [klฤ“ronomรฉล - to assign inheritance by casting lots, inherit] salvation? (From death and all that causes it.)
