            Mark 13:28-37

28 Jesus said, “Hear the parable of the fig tree” (note - an illustration, but also literal, one without the other doesn’t work). “Hear the parable of the fig tree.” (This literal is straightforward.) 29 “When [already now] its branches become tender and it puts out the first leaves, we know that summer is near. So also

you, when you see these things happening, know He is at the door.”

[In the Old Testament, and in the prophet’s minds, the “day of the LORD” is a day of consequences. A ‘day’ of judgment. “Your deeds will return upon your own head.” - Obadiah 1:15 ..”When you see these things happening know it is near ..Patient endurance is your strength” Lk.21:19.] ..30 “Truly I tell you, this genea - race, family, ethnicity (or) generation - will not have passed away, even until all these things have taken place. 31 Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will never pass away/fail. (The nations will not succeed in wiping out the Hebrew race, called ‘the Jews’ a slang word, it was prophesied/foretold by God, “You will become scorned, a byword, and ridiculed” Deut.28:37.) ..32 “Of that day, no one knows the day or hour of it, not the angels, not even the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, and be watchful therefor, for you do not know when it will happen. 34 It’s like a man going on a journey. He leaves his house (God leaves planet Earth, and Jesus leaves the followers) putting his servants in charge, each one with their assigned task. And tells the one at the door to keep watch. 35 Watch therefor because you don’t know when the master of the house comes, whether it be at evening, or midnight, or when the rooster crows or in the morning. 36 So he not come and find you sleeping. 37 What now I say to you, I say to all, watch [grēgoreúō – literally, stay awake; figuratively, be vigilant responsible, watchful.] (1.Able to see where your nation and world is headed? To “blessing”/peace/abundance “or cursing”/dissolution and decomposition. And 2.able to see  its judgment/consequences gathering speed, able to hear the Quiet Spirit of God, and read the signs foretold.) (If we didn’t have a universe of cause and effect, what sort of world would it be?)

7 For what makes anyone better than anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast? (Why do we humans so often think “it’s all about me”! Lol.) 8 You think you are everything you need to be, and know all things. You are already rich. You are reigning now in God’s kingdom. And without us. I wish you really were reigning already, for we would be reigning with you! (Able to do the works of Jesus during his long second advent.) 9 For I think God has exhibited us, the apostles, as last, and appointed to death. We are a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men. 10 We are fools on account of Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak but you are strong. You are honored, and we are dishonored. 11 As for us, at the present time, we are hungry, thirsty and poorly clad. We are pushed around, and wander homeless. 12 We work with our own hands, if we’re insulted, we bless, if we’re persecuted we endure. 13 When slandered, we encourage. We are as refuse of the earth, right up to today. (Israel is the micro, world is the macro. As with Israel so with the world. One labeled the great satan the other the little satan. Prophecy as micro, later global.)

Not to take away from the adversary being kidnapper. Yet we know (surely?) that God “is perfect” (mt.5:48) so it’s not like Satan just waltzed in and hijacked God’s universe. Surely this is an unavoidable journey, through this all important contrast. Unless we’re to be some sort of ant farm. How do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd, keep paradise/perfection intact? And notice how “all in heaven” angelos, “and upon earth” anthropos, are taking this journey all together at once. Eph.1:10, Col.1:20, Rev.21:5-“things” is a word added at translation.) 29 “And so Jesus told them a parable, ‘See the fig tree and all the trees. (🤔The fig tree was often used to represent Israel/Jerusalem.. see the fig tree and all the trees ..a summation of all the not yet fulfilled earthly prophecy!) 30 When they sprout [proballó - put forward, put forth, branch out] you know that summer is near. 31 So also when [hotan - whenever] you see these things occurring, know that the Kingdom of God is near. 32 Truly I tell you, this generation [genea - race, family, generation] will in no way have passed away (two negatives here) until all occurs. 33 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. 1 - Think of us as only servants. Servants of Christ who have been given the work of explaining God's mysteries. 2 And it is required that stewards [oikonomos - the manager of a household] be found faithful! 3 It doesn’t matter to me how I am evaluated by you or others, or even by a court. In fact I don’t judge (worry about?) myself. 4 My conscience is clear! Yet that doesn’t necessarily make me innocent! It is the Lord who judges! 5 Therefor, let us not judge things before it’s time. When the Lord comes, he will uncover all things, every shadow or shade of darkness, and the motives of hearts. And then praise [épainos - from epí - on, fitting, which intensifies aínos - praise – properly, fitting (apt) praise] will come to each from God. 6 Friends, I have used Apollos and myself as examples, not  to place one person above another person, that none (no group) be puffed up over another. (I prayed to understand this. At the Lord’s return, there is not the ReGenesis of Rev.21:1-5 and 2Pet.3:12-13, so “stars falling” - Rev.1:20 “…stars are angels”? The rebel angels/demons do fall at the Lord’s return.. saleuó - to agitate, shake, by ext. to cast down.) 26 And then they will see the Son of man (cross-ref, the man/male child of Rev.12) coming on the clouds with great power [dýnamis] and glory [doxa]. 27 And he will send ahead his angels to gather [episunagó - gather together, assemble] his elect [eklektos - chosen out] from the four winds (from north, south, east, west) from all the ends of earth under the heavens.

For the temple of God is holy/sacred/set apart, which temple you are. 18 Let no one deceive their self. If anyone thinks they are wise among you, according to this age, let them become foolish, that they may become (truly) wise. 19 For to God, the wisdom of the world is foolishness. It has been written, “he is the one catching the wise in their own craftiness”. (Instead of seeking to and borrowing from the minds of others, We “seek, knock, ask” God himself?! Some guidance, yes, but our seeking and dependance for Truth is from Him.) For all things are yours. 22 Whether Paul, Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life or death, things present or things to come, all yours (to understand/receive understanding of). 23 You are of Jesus, and Jesus is of God. 7 So it’s not the ones planting and watering the seed (in us) that matters, but the One who makes it grow, which is God [theos]. 8 The one watering and the one planting will receive their own wages. [Misthos - (a) pay, wages, salary, (b) reward, recompense, punishment; appropriately compensates a particular decision/choice action.] 9 We are God’s fellow workers in his field. And you (believers) are his building. 10 By God’s grace, he has allowed me to be a master builder/architect [architektón - from arxi - and téktōn - a craftsman, a chief artisan, an architect - i.e. someone responsible from the beginning to the end for the success (beauty, solidarity) of a building]. The foundation I have laid, another will build upon. Let each one, however, take heed how and what they build upon it. 11 The only foundation to be laid, is Jesus the Christ. 12 What we build on that foundation, whether silver, gold and previous gems, or wood, hay and stubble, 13 each one’s work will be revealed, for the day will make it clear. (Everything less than true gets burned away, decomposes. And decomposing makes heat, so it is a fire. Also the culmination of much of mankind’s doings end in fiery warfare, which is how history will conclude. The truth being let to run its course. If anyone strays from God, who is life, they will unavoidably ‘crash -n- burn’. So really, whatever we build in life, build it with Him/Love/Life/Intelligence/Logic. And be careful that what we teach others is 100% Truth. And do we ever quit learning? Shouldn’t our message be refined even as we are refined? Is that, I wonder, a danger in writing books? Or even articles, if we cannot or will not move on from things we have previously written? Decreasing our wages? If a new slant is accurate.] For the fire reveals, proves and tests all things, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work they have built remains, they will receive reward. 15 But if anyone’s works are burned up, they will suffer loss, but they themself will still be saved [sozo - saved, healed, preserved, rescued]. (From death and its cause. God is Life and “is perfect” mt.5:48, so the wages of imperfect, greek hamartia - missing the mark, is??? NoT immortality in a torture pit at the center of the earth.) They will be saved, they themself will be rescued from the fire. (It’s possible for us to teach a bunch of rubble, and it will not endure and remain but will be revealed of what sort it was. We want to be truly and thoroughly submitted to God? A “living sacrifice”. Sincere, genuine, put our heart into it! Not the popular do nothing gospel! The - God calls, no need to respond - gospel. Straw and hay?) Verses 16,17 from tomorrow’s verses - “don’t you know you are God’s temple? Anyone who pollutes [phtheiró - destroys, corrupts, spoils] God’s temple (with false teaching) God will phtheiró/bring to ruin. (Perhaps even a total ruination, BUT! “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10. So in the ‘end’ — greek tel, end-aim/cause-effect — God says, “Behold I make all new”- Rev.21:5. Translators added the word “things” to the verse, which is still true, but waters it down. “God desires all to be saved” - 1Tim.2:4. Surely? What God wants, God gets! Is.14:27)

PROPHETS - Isaiah Parts 1- 4

Part 4 — 1:31 - “The mighty will be as tinder and their works a spark which no person can put out. (Verse 15 - Even if you offer prayers, I will not listen, your hands are full of blood. Micah 3:6,7 - “The day will go dark for them, they will cover their faces because there is no answer from elohim [the]gods.”)

2:1 This is what Isaiah, son of Amoz has seen concerning Jerusalem and Judah. 2 It shall come to pass, in latter days [acharith - the after-part, end] the mountain of the house of Yahweh will be established in the highest mountains and exalted above the hills, and all nations will flow to it. 3 Many people will come and say, “Come! Let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us his way, and we’ll walk in his paths, for out of Zion will go forth his law [torah - direction, instruction, law, from yara (or Yarah) to throw, shoot (at a target?)] and will go forth the word [dabar - speech, word] of Yahweh from Jerusalem. 4 He will judge between nations, and settle disputes. They will beat their swords into plowshares (the V plows that are pulled by horses) and their spears into gardening tools. [This is repeated in Micah 4:3.] 5 House of Jacob [Yaaqob - a son of Isaac, from “aqeb - heel, footprint” (named because Jacob during birth grabbed his twin brother Esau’s ankle)]. Come let us walk in the light of Yahweh.

6 ..They are full of superstition from the East, they practice divination like the Philistines. They strike a bargain with foreigners. 7 Their land is full of silver and gold, with no end to their treasures. The land is full of horses ..and chariots. 8 The land is full of idols, they bow to the work of their own hands. 9 So man will be brought low and humbled. [From] 10-22 Go into the rocks, hide underground, from fear of Yahweh and the splendor of his majesty.  ..arrogance..pride.. brought low.  For the day of Yahweh comes upon all that is proud, lofty and lifted up, and it will brought low..  All the high hills, every lofty tower, every fortified wall, every trading ship, every stately vessel. The arrogance of man will be brought low, and the pride of man humbled. The LORD alone will be exalted.. the idols will disappear. Men will flee to caves in the rocks and holes in the ground from fear and dread of the glory of his majesty when he arises to shake mightily the Earth. (When things go terribly bad. GOD created a cause and effect universe.) …Cease to trust in man who’s breath is in his nostrils..

Part 3

1:21 - How the faithful city has become a prostitute. Her streets used to be full of righteousness and justice, but now murderers lodge in her. (So tell me history doesn’t repeat, thus prophecy. Story of every city.)  [Think of prophecy as prophecy. Not a curse being proclaimed.]  22 The value of your silver/money has fallen away.. 25 But I will turn my hand upon you and purge away your dross. 28 The crashing [sheber - breaking, fracturing, breaching, crushing (or) crashing] of the rebels and sinners [chatta - from chata - to miss, go wrong] will be together. Those who forsake Yahweh shall be consumed. (Cross reference - 2Pet.3:10, 2Thes.1:7-8, a first mention of a lake of fire. 🤔Order, crash, fiery event, a seal six event, but what the seal is, is veiled by its description as its entire effects, first to very last.) 30 You will be like an oak tree whose leaves have faded, like a garden with no water.. [In the prophets, usually the order is, the path of destruction pointed out, that the city, the people are on, and what will occur if the way isn’t changed - prophecy, cause and effect, not a curse - followed by verses about restoration, reconciliation and blessing. Rescue! Through a Messiah, and “savior of the world”.] (God’s other option? To avoid such calamity? A robotic ant farm?)

Part 2

1:3 The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s manger/trough, but Israel (and humanity) does not know, my people do not understand.” (And any nation, especially its leaders, though separated (“set apart”) to birth the Messiah/Savior would have also rejected him when he showed up humble, homeless, and threatening of their worldly status.) 4 ..They have forsaken ..turned their backs.. and (thus?) sinful they are. 5 ..The whole head is sick and the whole heart is faint. 6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness/battered from head to foot— only bruises, wounds, and sores, not cleansed, bandaged or soothed with olive oil. 7 Your country lies in ruins, and your towns are burned. Foreigners plunder your fields before your eyes as overthrown by strangers. 8 Beautiful Jerusalem stands abandoned.. 9 Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors.. 11 ..I take no pleasure in your sacrifices.. 12 who asked you to trample my courts? 13 ..wickedness in the sacred meeting.. 14 the new moon feasts, the holy day festivals.. a burden to me.. 15 Your hands are full of blood, I do not hear your prayers though they become many. 16 ..Stop doing wrong.. 17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. 18 “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins [chet - wrongs, from chata - to miss, go wrong, wrongs] are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow.. as white as wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land. 1:20 But if you turn away and refuse to listen, the sword devours. And accordingly has spoken the LORD.

Part 1

1:1 These are the visions that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem during the years of four kings. (Listed in the verse.) 2 The LORD (God) has said, "Listen, oh heaven and earth! The children I raised have turned against me. (Israel is the micro, global is the macro.)

7 The wisdom we are talking about is God’s mystery—his hidden plan (of rescue and sealing) (for eden, within thus without) which was pre-ordained [proorízō - root - horízō, pro/before - pre horizon - predetermined, foreordained, designed beforehand (in the blueprint)] before the ages, for our glory/value [doksa - inherent, intrinsic worth]. 8 Which the rulers and leaders of this age did not understand, or they would not have crucified (roman executed) the Lord of all glory. (If they’d known it would build up the people, more than if they’d left Jesus alone.) 9 But as it is written, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart can comprehend what God has prepared/made ready for those who love him!” 10 To us however it has been revealed! Revealed by God, Spirit to spirit(?) for (it’s) the spirit (that) searches all things, even the very depths of God. 11 Who knows the things of a person but the spirit of their self that is in them. And so it is with God, no one knows the things of God, but his own spirit. 12 We believers (followers) no longer have the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we may know what God has given abundantly/freely to us. 13 And so we do not speak in the words of human, wisdom teachings (like so popular with Greek philosophies) but that which is taught by the Spirit/Presence of God - spiritual things by spiritual means of communication. (The quiet voice of the heart? Day to day instruction/learning, consistently *building upon* what he teaches/uncovers.) 14 The natural man/anthropos however does not accept the things of the Spirit (of God) for they are not understood, because they are discerned by the (born again) spirit. 15 Whoever is spiritual [pneumatikos - spiritual, root (so whoever is of) pneuma - wind, breath, spirit] is able to judge/discern all things. But no one can judge them. 16 Who recognizes the mind of the LORD [Kýrios – properly, a person exercising absolute ownership rights, lord] that they could instruct Him!? We however, have the mind of Christ. (Jesus should be the biggest influence upon us / in us.)

1 - Then I, John, saw another happening in the heavens that struck me with wonder. I saw seven angels [arrayed in pure white, vs.5] - I soon found out, they had the seven final afflictions [plégé - blows, wounds, strikes] - the “last” - for with them the wrath [thymos - passion] of God (cause and effect) is spent [teleos - to finish, complete, fulfill, the root tel means reaching the end (aim). It is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding, extending out, one stage at a time to function at full-strength/capacity and effectiveness]. (The telescope “aims” - tel, the end-aim, cause, effect. Imo:) (An all important lesson “all in heaven and Earth” must learn right down to every molecule of the universe? So to speak.. Must fully understand? Vs. being an ant farm?) (Both prophecy and the kingdom->within and without, individually and collectively - extend from smaller scope to larger scope.)

2 I saw something like a sea of glass - mingled with fire - and those who had prevailed over the beast and its image [eikón - image, statue, mirror-like representation, projection] and over the number of its name, were standing upon the sea of glass, each with a harp [kithara - lyre, harp, stringed instrument] of God. 3 And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God. And the song of the Lamb, saying “great and marvelous are your works oh Lord God the Almighty! Your ways are righteous and true oh King of the nations! 4 Who will not fear/revere you oh Lord! And glory in your name/reputation/character! You alone are holy! “All” nations will come and worship before you! Because the righteousness, and justice, of your acts has been revealed!”

5 After this I looked, and in heaven, the temple of the tabernacle/tent (of) testimony was opened 6 and out came the seven angels with the seven afflictions. [The “LAST” afflictions.] They wore linen, pure and bright, with wide gold sashes at their chests [stethos]. 7 Then the four living creatures gave to the seven angels, seven gold bowls full of the wrath of God who lives from age to age. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and his power, and no one could enter the temple (God is grieving) until the seven afflictions of the seven angels were (was) finished. [Cross reference with verse 5, 11:19 - first and last of the seven thunders?🤷🏼‍♀️]

1 - When I visited and spoke with you, I didn’t speak God’s message with lofty words used in great flowery speeches. 2 No, I decided to know nothing among you but Jesus, and his having been crucified [“Christ crucified”]. 3 And in much humility and frailty I testified to that. 4 What I had to say [“my testimony and proclamation”] was not in great persuasive high sounding words, but in the demonstration of the Spirit of power. 5 So that your faith may not be in the worldly wisdom of man, but in the POWER of God. 6 We do however speak in wisdom to brothers and sisters of maturity. But it is not worldly wisdom of the age or of the leaders (great minds?) of the age, which is all coming to naught and will disappear. (For a ‘wisdom’ to endure - it has to be true! And they all belong to God anyway. As he made the natural laws.)

1 - When they got to Iconium, as was their habit, they went to the synagogue and spoke the message. A good number of both Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the leaders who didn’t believe the message, talked against them, stirring up many of the against them. 3 But they stayed a long time speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the truth by granting signs and wonders to be done through their hands. 4 But there was division among the town. Some sided with the leaders and some sided with the brothers (Paul and company). 5 But when a mob was developed of both Greeks and Hebrews/Jews intending to rush them, in order to mistreat and stone them, 6 they became aware of it and fled to the region of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe. 7 There they continued to proclaim the message. (The good news for all. And why are authorities so dead set against it?) 8 In Lystra there was a man who was crippled, who had never walked since the day he was born. 9 Paul saw that the man had been listening closely, and that he had faith to be healed. 10 So looking intently at him, he said in a loud voice, “Stand on your feet!” And the man sprang to his feet, and started walking. 11 But the crowd watching all this, started to say, “The gods have come down to us!” 12 They started calling Barnabas Zeus, and because he was the leading speaker, they called Paul Hermes. 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought wreaths and bulls to the city gates, as he and the crowd intended to offer sacrifices to them. 14 But Paul and Barnabas tore their clothing and rushed out to the crowd saying, 15 “Why are you doing this!? We are but mere men like you yourselves! We are telling you the good news so you can turn from these vanities to the living Go! To the one who made the heavens and the Earth and everything in them! 16 And who in the past has allowed all nations and generations to go their own way, the way of these vanities, 17 but not without a witness to himself, by giving the rains and harvests, by filling you with fruits and your hesrts with gladness. 18 Yet they were barely able to stop the crowd from sacrificing to them. 19 However! Next thing you know, the leaders from Antioch and Iconium came and stirred up another mob and they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city. 20 The disciples gathered around him, and he got up and went back into the city, and the next day he and Barnabas went to Derbe. 21 They proclaimed the gospel (the Good News) to the city, discipled quite a few, and then they turned around and went back through Lystra, Iconium and Antioch. 22 Where they visited the disciples strengthening and encouraging them, saying,”Remain firm in the faith. It’s through many tribulations that we enter into the kingdom of God. 23 After choosing elders for the churches, and praying with fasting, they committed them to the Lord in whom they were believing. 24 Then passing through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia. 25 They spoke the word in Perga, then they went down to Attalia, 26 and sailed from there to Antioch from where they had begun and been sent out from with prayers and anointing. 27 Gathering the believers together, they told them all that had happened, and how God had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 Then they remained there for a while with the brothers and sisters.

Jesus returns to where he was with the Father before his advent/visit (his brief first one).

The Holy Spirit/Presence of God is poured out on the believers who were in Jerusalem on the late Spring holy day of Pentecost. Peter speaks, there are 3000 new believers that day.

The good news message spreads, Peter is invited and goes to a Roman’s house and all believe. The first record of non Hebrew believers (besides likely some on Pentecost).

Persecution breaks out.. jail. stoning. Pharisee Saul leads the persecution, but on his way to Damascus with papers for arrests, Jesus makes himself seen but is so bright Paul falls to the ground and is blinded. After two days he is healed and is a believer, and soon is called Paul. He wrote many (to most) of the New Testament letters, but spent a few years (it seems to me) exclusively listening to the Lord. He established many ‘churches’ in what’s called three missionary journeys, and met and worked with Mark and Luke, and quite a few others. (Luke wrote this Book of Acts.) His fourth journey is to Rome to trial as a prisoner. There’s a shipwreck on the way.. He wrote many of his letters while in prison and under ‘house’ arrest.

FROM Isaiah 1

43 After the service, many Jews and a number of Gentiles who worshiped God went with them. Paul and Barnabas persuaded them all to remain faithful to God who had treated them with undeserved kindness and grace. 44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 But when some from the synagogue saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what Paul was saying and were heaping abuse on him! 46 But Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. [To Israel, they did after all birth Messiah/“savior of the world”after being separated (quarantined?) to do so.] Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of aionion [pertaining to an age, eonian] life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles! [God’s plan. HE blinded them, so all have been blind, Jn.12:39,40.] 47 The Lord has given us this command, "I have placed you here as a light for the Gentiles. You are to take the saving power of God to people everywhere on earth." 48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the Lord's message. And those who had been appointed for aionion/of the age life became believers. 49 And the word of the Lord spread through the whole region. 50 Then the Jewish leaders stirred up the influential religious women and the leading men of the city, and they incited a mob against Paul and Barnabas and ran them out of town. 51 So they shook the dust from their feet as a sign of rejection and went to the town of Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit (/Presence of God).

35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, said - “The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.’ 37 David himself calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?” And the common people heard him gladly. 38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 40 Yet they devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. (“All the world is a stage” Shakespeare.)

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 Then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on.”

9 Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up! 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. 11 Notice what large letters I use as I write these closing words in my own handwriting. (He had an eye problem a “thorn in his side that God didn’t heal to keep him humble as he had been gifted with a lot of knowledge” and insight. And you know how easy it is for things to go to our heads!) 12 Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save (from death and its cause, imperfection, greek hamartia). 13 And even those who advocate circumcision don’t keep the whole law themselves. They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples. 14 As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus. Because of the cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. 15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. (Jesus is called the forever “First”, greek word “proto”. He’s the proto type! ..How else are you going to have a paradise/Eden?) 16 And so for all who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. [One day all humanity will be “Israel”. Is it no wonder the adversary would like to wipe out natural Israel? And they did birth the savior of the world, so.. Revelation 12 shows his rage, 70 A.D. and the inquisitions are in that chapter. I’m trying to figure out if it can be read as noT an insert and stand alone history, as so many/all? do. I know it works as a stand alone insert, because Herod the Great is in it, the inquisitions.. the Mayflower.. coming widespread drought.. armageddon(mt.23:39) - all three versions of the vision end and meet at the 7th trumpet.] 17 From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me (Paul) with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus! 18 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all ..my friends. Amen.

1 - My friends, you are spiritual. So if someone is trapped in sin, you should gently lead that person back to the right path. But watch out, and don't be tempted yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are better than others [“if you think you are something when you aren’t”] you are wrong. 4 Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, without comparing yourself to someone else. 5 We each must carry our own load. 6 Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. 7 We cannot fool God, we will always harvest what we plant. 8 If you follow your (self-first) selfish desires, you will gather a basket of destruction [phthora - destruction, corruption, decay] but if you sow to/follow the Spirit, from the Spirit/Presence of God, you will reap Life/Good things.

27 Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question. 28 They posed this question: “Teacher, Moses gave us a law that if a man dies, leaving a wife but no children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will carry on the brother’s name. 29 Suppose there were seven brothers. The oldest one married and then died without children. 30 Then the second, 31 and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven married her, and died, leaving no children. 32 Finally, the woman died too. 33 Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be? Since the seven were married to her?” 34 And Jesus said to them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage, 35 but those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage. 36 Neither can they die any more, but are like the angels, and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. (Logically, the “first” resurrection.) 37 But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the LORD ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for, to him, all are alive.” 39 “Well said, Teacher!” remarked some of the scribes/teachers of law who were standing there. 40 And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify selfish desires. 17 For what our selfish nature wants is opposed to what the Spirit wants, and what the Spirit wants is opposed to what our selfish nature wants. These two are enemies, and this means that we cannot do what our selfish (lower, carnal) self wants to do. 18 But when you are directed (led, controlled) [agó - led, brought, carried by] the Spirit, you are not under the law (it’s authority). 19 The acts of carnality are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, rivalry, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things can not (in that condition) inherit the kingdom of God.

PROPHETS - Isaiah Part 2

1:3 The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s manger/trough, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.” (Are you going to tell me that’s not true of humanity as a whole? And any nation separated to birth the Messiah/Savior would have also rejected him when he showed up humble, homeless, and threatening of their power.) 4 ..They have forsaken ..turned their backs.. and (thus?) sinful they are. 20 But if you turn away and refuse to listen, the sword devours. And accordingly has spoken the LORD.

9 This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough! (Good or bad, true or false, it will spread like yeast! The Good - like Mt.13:33, note “all” - resulting in a rich aroma like baking bread! The notGood spreading like spores from an unholy fungus! Which side are our view and words on?!) 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is confusing you will bear [bastazó - take up, carry] the judgment [kríma - “the results of a judgment, dramatically links cause-to-effect”] of it, whoever it may be. 11 Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised—as some say I do—why am I still being persecuted? For in that case the offense of the cross has been removed! (Circumcision represented following the law/rules to earn God’s favor, whereas “The Law” is a tutor/guardian to tell us what wrongdoing is, and separated {quarantined?!} Israel for the purpose of birthing the “savior of the world”.) 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves! [Apokoptó - to cut off, cut away, castrate.]

13 But you have been called to liberty! To be free! But don't use your freedom as an excuse to do anything you want! Use it as an opportunity to serve each other in love. 14 All the Law says is summed up in the command to love others as much as you love yourself. 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. [Or, “If you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don't destroy each other” Or, “If you keep attacking each other like wild animals, you had better watch out or you will destroy yourselves.”] (We don’t want to sow confusion or discord, as we just might reap destruction. *Earthly* ruin! Not ‘forever afterlife’ annihilation. Or worse. Never forget, the root word of “logic”/reason, is logos. “God is Love” and is “aLmighty” and “is perfect” - the ‘end’ result of all this, of this twilight zone, of this all important contrast, can only be the utter best one possible. [“End” is from the greek word “tel” which means “end-aim”. Root of telescope.] (Which works very well to illustrate how both the kingdom and prophecy proceeds, like the old sailor’s telescope, from small scope to larger full scale scope - I read that some time ago in a commentary on the word “tel”. We can be sure God’s end-aim will be ALL that will remain standing and intact. Rev.7:3,9,4)

Review - an outline and order (esp. vs.8,9) ..an angel flying in midair ..”stand in awe of God ..worship him who made the Heavens and the Earth and the Sea and the springs of water.”

8 A second angel followed saying, “’Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’ which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her immoralities.” 9 Then a third angel followed them, shouting, “Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark (Dn.12:12?) on the forehead or on the hand 10 will have to drink the full cup of God’s “passion” [greek thumos] mixed undiluted. (See? he is letting things run their full course. Otherwise, for creation there’s two other options? Total Ant Farm - which I always want to capitalize🤷🏼‍♀️? Or sooner or later, each one, sometime, being bound to think, say, or do something that is less than Perfect, thus becoming imperfect opposite of God who is Life and “is perfect”. Each one straying in their own time. How to convince every thinking being that it can never work, than to let it run its full course? “The smoke of it will rise forever” - in every heart and psyche! Because Rev.21 shows a whole new universe.. A (fieRy) universal ReGenesis occurs. The smoke rising from the impossible way therefore has to be spiritual, in the forever memories. A forever “abhorring” of the carnal, self first way. You think God pronounced a curse over Eve? For instance. No he was prophesying. This is the war of good and evil. God’s kingdom progresses in peace (Mt.13:33) but on mankind’s part, is the violence, Ps.2. It’s not all flowers and daisies (like the coming afterwards Kingdom) but is a harsh and unavoidable truth and lesson. Truth is an iron (measuring) rod. Uh oh, I totally mixed up my parenthesis.) Rest of the verse “All the world is a stage” (Shakespeare, not the bible, lol.) 10b “and will be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels and the Lamb.” (The “full cup not diluted” - obviously is the Revelation bowls. Which bowls, and some of the trumpets, are obviously thermonuclear effects! The root word of logic, is logos!) 11 “And the smoke of the torment of them to ages of ages goes up, and not do they have [echó - to have, hold] peace day and night, those worshiping the beast and the image of it, and if anyone receives the mark of its name." 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. [Another version - “This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.”] 13 And I heard a voice out of heaven, saying "Write, 'Blessed are the dead dying in the Lord from now on.'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "so that they may rest from their labors, for their works follow with them." (After Babylon which sits on seven hills/continents - a final modern global $ity and system, riding/partnered with the beast - falls, comes the mark {Dn.12:11-12 with Lk.19:41,44, a math problem-and on that 1,335th day comes Mt.13:30, which is Rev.16:13-16 and 2Thes.1:7,8. I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all! 3 I’ll say it again - if you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must then obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses. 4 If you are trying to be justified by the law, you have been alienated from Christ, you have fallen away from grace. 5 But we who live by the Spirit, are eagerly waiting to receive - by faith - the righteousness that God has promised to us. [1Cor.15:51-54] 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matters. All that matters is faith, expressed through love. 7 You were running the race so well. Who has now hindered you and turned you back from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion is not from the one who calls you.

1 - Now Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius from Cyrene, Manaen, who grew up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul were prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Appoint Barnabas and Saul to do the work for which I have chosen them." 3 So after more fasting and prayer, they laid their hands on them (praying, anointing) and sent them on their way. 4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 There, in the town of Salamis, they went to the Jewish synagogues and preached the word of God. John Mark went with them as their assistant. (Whose mother’s house Peter had gone to after the angel led him out of jail). 6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a false prophet named Bar-Jesus. 7 He also worked for Sergius Paulus, who was a thoughtful man and governor (proconsul) of the island. Sergius Paulus wanted to hear God's message, and he sent for Barnabas and Saul. 8 But Elymas, the sorcerer (as his name means in Greek), was interfering and urging the governor to pay no attention to what Barnabas and Saul were saying. 9 Then Saul, better known as Paul, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and looking the sorcerer in the eye, 10 said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? 11 And now, behold, the hand of the LORD is upon you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season”. Suddenly a mist and darkness fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12 Then the proconsul, when he saw all this believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord. 13 From Paphos, Paul and his companions sailed to Perga in Pamphylia. There John Mark left them and returned to Jerusalem. 14 But Paul and Barnabas traveled inland to Antioch of Pisidia. And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. 15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the leaders of the synagogue sent word to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have a word for the people, please speak.” 16 Standing up, Paul motioned with his hand and said: “Fellow Israelites and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me! 17 The God of this nation of Israel chose our ancestors and made them multiply and grow strong during their stay in Egypt. Then with a powerful arm he led them out of their slavery. 18 He put up with them through forty years of wandering in the wilderness. 19 He destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan and gave their land to our people. (God gets grief for not stopping great evils, and he gets grief for stopping great humanity destroying evils during formative times. It was the practice of them to burn children alive to their moon god Baal Molech, while beating drums to drown out the screams.) 20 All this took about 450 years. “After that, God gave them judges to rule until the time of Samuel the prophet. 21 Then the people begged for a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, who reigned for forty years. 22 But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will do all my will.’ 23 And it is one of King David’s descendants, Jesus, who is God’s promised Savior of Israel! 24 But before Jesus came, John was telling everyone in Israel to turn back to God and be baptized. 25 As John was finishing his ministry he asked, ‘Do you think I am the Messiah? No, I am not! But he is coming soon—and I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the sandals on his feet.’ 26 Brothers—you sons of Abraham, and also you God-fearing Gentiles—this message of salvation has been sent to us! 27 The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath. 28 They found no legal reason to execute him, but they asked Pilate to have him killed anyway. 29 When they had done all that the prophecies said about him, they took him down from the cross and placed him in a tomb. 30 But God raised him from the dead! 31 And over a period of many days he appeared to those who had gone with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to the people of Israel. 32 And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors, 33 which God has fulfilled to us, their descendants, having raised up Jesus, as in the Psalm it has been written [deuteros - second psalm? or for the second time?] you are my son, this day I have begotten you. 34 And so God raised him from among the dead that he not see destruction (decomposing) ‘I will give to you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’ 35 So also, He says in another Psalm, ‘You will not let Your Holy One see decay’ [Ps.16:10]. 36 Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep and was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed. 37 But the one whom God raised from the dead did not see decay. 38 Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. 39 Everyone who believes in him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do. 40 Beware, therefore, lest what is said in the Prophets should come about - 41 Listen you mockers, wonder and vanish away (from Earth’s scene until later, for “GOD blinded them” for his reasons/purpose as “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10) for I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’” 42 As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people invited them to speak further about these things on the next Sabbath.

                         ~*~

     Very Brief Outline of Acts:

          Luke 20:1-13

1 - One day as Jesus was teaching the people and preaching the Good News in the Temple, the leaders, the teachers of the law, and the elders came up to him. 2 They demanded, “By what authority are you doing all these things? Who gave you the right?” 3 “Let me ask you a question first,” he replied. 4 “John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or from men?” 5 They discussed it among themselves saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’ 6 But if we say it was merely human, the people will stone us because they are convinced John was a prophet.” 7 So they answered, “We don’t know where it was from.” 8 And Jesus responded, “Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.” 9 And he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and let it out to tenants and went into another country for a long while. 10 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 11 So the owner sent another servant, but they also insulted him, beat him up, and sent him away empty-handed. 12 He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out. 13 ‘What will I do?’ the owner asked himself. ‘I know! I’ll send my cherished son. Surely they will respect him.’

       ~ Galatians 4:21-31 ~

21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife. [Sarah, his wife’s, idea.] 23 The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise. 24 All of this has another meaning as well. Each of the two women stands for one of the agreements God made with his people! Hagar, the slave woman, stands for the agreement that was made at Mount Sinai. Everyone born into her family is in bondage. (We cannot self improve ourselves into perfection - “we shall be like Jesus”. God is Life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48.. So less than perfect can never work, therefor trying via self effort is a bondage.) 25 And now Jerusalem is just like Mount Sinai in Arabia, because she and her children live in bondage to the law. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free (a gift) and she is our mother. 27 The Scriptures say about her, "You have never had children, but now you can be glad. You have never given birth, but now you can shout. Once you had no children, but now you will have more children than a woman who has been married for a long time!" 28 And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise, just like Isaac. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. (Ishmael and Isaac.) It is the same now. (The first persecutions were from Judaism leaders. But don’t forget Satan is a changing angel of [false] light. Next persecutions, for example, were from Rome.) 30 But what does the Scripture say? “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will not share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” (No more trying to earn Life.) 31 So then, my friends, we are not the children of a slave woman (guardianship) but of a free woman (“the new and living way”).

          Mark 12:12-27

12 Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away. 13 The Pharisees got together with Herod's followers. (Funny how leaders do that.) Then they sent some men to trick Jesus into saying something wrong. 14 “Teacher,” they said, “we know how honest you are. You are impartial and don’t play favorites. You teach the way of God truthfully. Now tell us—is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? (The quintessential question? You could get executed for noncompliance with Rome.) 15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?” But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16 So they brought the coin, and He asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” “Caesar’s,” they answered. 17 “Well, then,” Jesus said, “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” His reply completely amazed them. 18 Then some from the Sadducee party, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 19 “Teacher, Moses gave us a law that if a man dies, leaving a wife without children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will carry on the brother’s name. 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?” 24 Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. 25 When the dead rise, they will not wed or be given in marriage, they will be like the angels in heaven. 26 But now - as to whether the dead will-be raised - haven’t you ever read about this in the writings of Moses, in the story of the burning bush? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said to Moses, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 27 He is not God of the dead, but of the living. You do greatly err.”

           ~ Galatians 4:8-20 ~

8 Before you knew God, you were slaves of gods that are not really gods. 9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? 10 You are trying to earn favor with God by observing certain days or months or seasons or years. 11 I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing. 12 I beg you, my friends, be like me. After all, I am like you, and you did me no wrong. 13 Surely you remember that I had an infirmity when I first brought you the Good News. 14 And even though it was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. 15 Where is that joyful and grateful spirit you felt then? I am sure you would have taken out your own eyes and given them to me if it had been possible. 16 Have I now become your enemy for telling you the truth? 17 Those false teachers are eager to win your favor, but their intentions are not good. They are trying to shut you off from me so you will pay attention only to them. 18 If someone is eager to do good things for you, that’s all right; but let them do it all the time, not just when I’m with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, 20 I wish I were with you now. Then I would not have to talk this way. You really have me puzzled.
