MATTHEW 21 1-9

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

     04/13 - GospeL Verses

(Eyewitness accounts always differ. We are suspicious if they don’t.) 1 - Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples ahead, 2 saying to them, “Go into the village in front of us, and immediately you’ll find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone asks you about it, say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he’ll send them at once.”

4 This fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet, 5 “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you! Humble, and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”

6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had told them. 7 And they brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. 8 Most of the crowd of people spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the crowds that went before him, and that followed him, were shouting, “Hosanna! To the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! Hosanna in the highest!”

29 - And as they were leaving Jericho, a great crowd was following. 30 And they came upon two blind men sitting by the side of the road. And when they heard Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord! Have mercy on us! Son of David!” 31 The crowd scolded them, and told them to stop yelling. But they cried out all the more, “Lord! Have mercy on us, Son of David!” 32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What is it you want me to do for you?” 33 They said, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.” 34 And Jesus pitying their blindness, touched their eyes, and immediately they received their sight, and walked along with the crowd following him.

MATTHEW 9 27-38

    πŸƒπŸ•Š️01/29 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

27 - And as Jesus was leaving from there, two blind men were following him and crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came in, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I’m able to do this?” They said, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith so be it.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them saying, “See that no one knows about this.” 31 But they went out and spread his fame throughout all the district.

32 As they were leaving, a demon-oppressed man who was suffering being mute, was brought to him. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, “Never has anything like this been seen in Israel!” 34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out the demons by the prince of demons!”

35 Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in the synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he (always) felt compassion, for they were harassed and helpless, like sheep with no shepherd. 37 He told his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful. But the laborers are few. 38 Pray earnestly to the LORD of the harvest, that he will send out laborers into his harvest.” [“Lovest thou me?” he asked. “Feed my sheep.” Jn.21:15]

                  ~ Philippians 1:9-18 ~

9 - It’s my (Paul’s) prayer that your love (and affection for all) may abound more and more. And with it knowledge, and all discernment. 10 So you can understand [diaphΓ©rō  - from diΓ‘ - through, intensifying phΓ©rō - carry through, all the way, to distinguish fully what is better/superior, transition to] what is excellent, and so be pure [eilikrinΓ©s - unalloyed, genuine, sincere, from heilΔ“ - shining, and krystallΓzō] and blameless [aproskopoi - not causing to stumble, not stumbling, free of hurt or harm, not causing offense, blameless, literally without offense or offending] unto/into [eis - to or into, the point reached or entered, of place, time, purpose, result] (the door of Mt.25:10?) to/into/for? the day of Christ. 11 And filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus. Which is all to the glory and praise of God.

12 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 So that now it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard (in Rome) and further, that my imprisonment is for Christ. 14 And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my example, are much more bold to proclaim the message [logos - word, reasoning expressed in words] without fear.

15 Some indeed preach Christ from ill will and rivalry. But others from good will 16 and out of love, knowing that I am in these chains for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former proclaiming Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but hoping to trouble me in my imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. And yes, shall rejoice.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 15:21-39

21 - And Jesus left there (Capernaum) and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that region was following after him and crying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is terribly oppressed by a demon!” 23 But he didn’t answer her and his disciples came and said, “Send her away! For she keeps crying out after us.” 24 And then he answered her, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and knelt before him, and said, “Lord, help me.” 26 And he answered, “It’s not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the table.” 28 Then Jesus answered, “Oh woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you want!” And her daughter was healed that very instant.

29 Jesus walked on from there and beside the Sea of Galilee. And went up on the mountain and sat down. 30 And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them all. 31 And the crowd marveled, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now for three days and they have now nothing to eat. And I don’t want to send them away hungry. They may faint on the way.” 33 And the disciples said, “Where are we to get enough bread in such a desolate place to feed so many!?” 34 Jesus asked, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” 35 He told the crowd to sit upon the ground, 36 and took the seven loaves and the fish, and after he gave thanks he broke the loaves and gave bread to the disciples, and the disciples gave the bread to the crowd. 37 And all ate and were satisfied. And they collected seven baskets of left over bread. 38 Those who ate were four thousand men, plus women and children. 39 And after sending them away, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.

                  ~ Romans 14:1-7 ~

1 - As for one who is weaker in their faith, welcome them, but not for passing judgment on their opinions. 2 For one person believes he may eat anything, while the more feeble in faith may eat only vegetables. 3 Let not the one who eats despise the one who doesn’t, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God welcomes both. 4 Who are any of us to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before their own master that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make us all stand.

5 One person esteems one day as better than the others, while another esteems all days as alike. LET each one be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains (from the day, or from meat) abstains in honor of the Lord and also gives thanks. 7 For none of us to ourself lives, and none of us to ourself dies. (So try to live in harmony!)

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 12:22-37

22 - Just then a demon oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him. Then the man could both speak and see, 23 and the people were amazed. They said, “Can this be the Son of David?” (The prophesied messiah/savior.) 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebaal, the prince of the demons, that he can cast out demons!” (πŸ€” Always a tactic of untruth to be condescending.. to ridicule, insult or call names, directly or indirectly. Glaring evidence of things not true, oR, sometimes fallen back upon by our not having gathered the facts and supporting verses.) 25 Knowing their thoughts, he said, “A kingdom that is divided against itself is laid waste [erΓ©moΓ³ - (is) brought to desolation] and no city or house divided against itself will remain standing. (Divide and conquer.) 26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom not fall? (Iron and clay/dove and vulture will partnership.. but only for so long, Rev.17:12,16 and 16:13-16.) 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebaal, by who do your sons (followers, students) cast them out? Therefore they will judge. 28 But if it is by the Spirit/Presence of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you. 29 Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and run off with his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may rob his house. 30 Whoever is not with me is against me. Whoever does not gather with me, scatters. 31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy  will-be-forgiven [aphiΓ©mi - sent away, left alone, released, forgiven] but the blasphemy [blasphΓ©mia - slander] against the Spirit/Presence not forgiven [aphiΓ©mi - sent away, left alone, released, forgiven]. 32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, not forgiven, neither in this age or in the age to come. (“This age” - years of our Lord, A.D., “age to come” - “the” millennium, after that “the Judgment Aionion” - aionion is the adjective of aion - a duration of time, root of eon, Mt.25:46 - aionios-kolasin/korrection, translated into neverending-punishment, and as handed down, a baal-molech fav fantasy if ever I heard one.🀒) 33 “Either make the tree Good and its fruit Good, or you make the tree bad and its fruit bad! For a tree (and idea) is known (identified, summed up) by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil! For it is out of the heart that the mouth speaks! 35 The good person out of his good storehouse (heart) brings forth good, and the evil (notGood) out of his evil storehouse (heart) brings forth notGood. 36 I tell you! Every careless word that men [anthropoi, male and female] speak they will give [apodidΓ³mi - give up, give back, return, restore] concerning it reasoning [logos - reasoning in words] in the day [hΓ©mera - day, time] of judgment. (Translated “will give account”.) 37 For by your logos will you be justified [dikaioΓ³ - regarded innocent] and by your logos will you be judged [katadikazo - from kata - down from, dΓkΔ“ – properly, right, a just finding, and azo - fit, fits]. (Judged, assessed, discerned - of course. And Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32, so logically, and obviously, all will be kolasis/korrected/corrected. Which hAs to involve discernment/judgment, yes?)

                  ~ Romans 8:26-33 ~

26 - Likewise the Spirit of God (his Presence with us) helps us in our weakness. For we don’t know what to pray, but the Spirit (Presence of God) himself intercedes - for us - with groanings of the heart which are too complex for words. 27 For by searching the hearts, and according to the will of God, does his Spirit (Presence with us) pray for us. 28 And besides that (sort of word for word) - we know (for) the loving God, all works God for good, the down from purpose [prothesis - set forth, proposal, predetermination, purpose, from prΓ³ - before, and tΓthΔ“mi - purposefully set forth] called [klΓ©tos - called, summoned] to be [eimi] - for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom God foreknew [proegno] he also predestines to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, in order that the (Firstborn) Son might be the firstborn among many brothers [and sisters! Adelphos - brethren, from alpha - same, and delphus - womb, kinsperson, descended from the same.] 30 And those he predestines [proorizΓ³ - foreordains, predetermines, marks out beforehand] he also calls [kaleΓ³ - to call, summon, name, invite]. And those he calls he also justifies, and those he justifies he also will glorify. (With His likeness.) 31 What can we possibly say to these things! If God is for us, who [tis - who, which, what] can be against us? 32 He who indeed spared not his own Son but for us all, gave him up - how will he not also through him graciously give us all things?! 33 Who [tis - who, which, what] can bring an acccusation against the elect of God? Who is the justifier. [1Tim.4:10 - “God is the savior of all.”]

1 - My friends, you are spiritual. So if someone is trapped in sin, you should gently lead that person back to the right path. But watch out, and don't be tempted yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are better than others [“if you think you are something when you aren’t”] you are wrong. 4 Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, without comparing yourself to someone else. 5 We each must carry our own load. 6 Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. 7 We cannot fool God, we will always harvest what we plant. 8 If you follow your (self-first) selfish desires, you will gather a basket of destruction [phthora - destruction, corruption, decay] but if you sow to/follow the Spirit, from the Spirit/Presence of God, you will reap Life/Good things.
