          Mark 11:20-26

20 The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it had withered from the roots up. 21 Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, “Look, Rabbi! The fig tree you cursed has withered and died!” 22 “Have faith in God” Jesus said. 23 Truly I tell you that if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and has no doubt in his heart but believes that it will happen, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I tell you, when you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive you too.” 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you.

       ~ Galatians 3:16-21 ~

16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds” meaning many people, but “and to your seed” meaning one person - who is Christ. 17 This is what I am trying to say - the agreement God made with Abraham could not be canceled four hundred and thirty years later when God gave the law to Moses. God would be breaking his promise. 18 For if God's gift depends on the Law, then it no longer depends on his promise. However, it was because of his promise that God gave that gift to Abraham. 19 Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show what sin is. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the Son who was promised. God sent his angels to give the Law to Moses, and he, as mediator, gave it to the people. 20 Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham. 21 Is there a conflict, then, between God’s law and God’s promises? Absolutely not! If the law could give us new life, we could be made right with God by obeying it.
