Luke 21:1-7
1 - While Jesus was in the Temple, he looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small copper coins. 3 βTruly I tell you,β he said, βthis poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.β
5 And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said, 6 βAs for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another, every one of them will be thrown down.β [This happened of course in 70 CE. But interestingly Luke 19:41,44 says βAs he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it.. They will not leave one stone on anotherβ.. But there sits still (so far) the Western Wall. Dan.12:11?]
7 βTeacher,β they asked, βwhen will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?β

~ 1 Corinthians 1:1-3 ~
1 - From Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from Sosthenes, who is also a follower. 2 To God's church in Corinth. Christ Jesus chose you to be his very own people, and you worship in his name, as we and all others do who call him Lord. 3. My prayer is that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace! [Contemporary English Version]
