         Luke 11:29-36

29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 In the judgment, the queen of the south shall rise up in judgment against this generation,  for she came from the farther part of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And behold, a greater than Solomon is here.” (The light was with them!) 32 “The people of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment (testimony?) against this generation, for they turned to God when Jonah preached, and yet here now, is something far greater than Jonah. (Doesn’t sound like torture by fire to me. More like a great day of review and closure of all things, concerning all generations of all nations and tribes. Sure to include some fiery inner torment, initially. But with the continuation of the Lord drawing all. And with helpers serving, called reigning? Reigning how?πŸ—️?) 33 No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a clay pot. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can shine for all who enter the house. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light. But when it is unhealthy, your body will be filled with darkness. 35 So be sure your light isn't darkness. 36 If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” (And peace and joy.)

           ~ James 4:7-11 ~

7 Submit therefore to God and stand against Satan, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners. Purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. [DΓpsyxos - an adjective, derived from dΓs - two, and psyxαΈ— - soul, self – properly, two souled, double-minded.] 9 Be sad and sorry and weep. Stop laughing and start crying. Be gloomy instead of glad. 10 Humble yourselves to the Lord, and he will lift you up. 11 Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment of it.
