          Mark 10:1-9

1 - Then Jesus left Capernaum and went down to the region of Judea and into the area east of the Jordan River. Once again crowds gathered around him, and as usual he was teaching them. 2 When some of the Pharisee party came and tried to trap him with this question, “Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife?” 3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied. [Or “What did Moses say in the law about divorce?”] 4 They answered, “Moses permitted a man to write his wife a scroll of divorce and send her away.” 5 But Jesus said, "It was because of your hardness of heart that he wrote this [entolΓ© - an injunction, order, command] for you. 6 But in the beginning God made a man and a woman. 7 That's why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes united with a wife. 8 He becomes like one person with her. Then they are no longer two, but one. 9 And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together."

           ~ James 1:1-8 ~

1 - From James, a servant of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings to the twelve tribes scattered all over the world. (Followers of Jesus were now not only scattered like the twelve tribes of Israel, but they are now - part of the twelve tribes, Ro.11:11-17.) 2 My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. [Another version - Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.] 3 For you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance  and steadfastness. [Patience.] 4 So let it grow and finish its work, for when your endurance is fully matured, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown about and tossed by the wind. 7 That one (or such) should not expect to receive. 8  But is a person of two minds, and is a-katΓ‘statos - not- in order, in all hodos - way, road, journey, path of him. (Almost sounds like a weak current, unstable receiver.)
