Luke 15:21-32
21 β'Father,' the son said, 'I have sinned against God and against you. I am no longer fit to be called your son.' 22 But his father said to the servants, βQuick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. 23 And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast! 24 My son was dead and has come back to life.! He was lost but has been found.' Then they began to celebrate. 25 Meanwhile, the older son (Israel) was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants (workers) and asked him what was going on. 27 βYour brother is back,β he was told, βand your father has killed the fattened calf. We are celebrating because of his safe return.β 28 The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and tried to reason with him. 29 But he replied, βAll these years Iβve slaved for you and never disobeyed your orders. And in all that time you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends. 30 Yet when this son of yours comes back after squandering your money on prostitutes, you celebrate by killing the fattened calf!β 31 βMy son,β the father said, βyou are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead, and has come back to life. He was lost, but now he is found.ββ

~ 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18 ~
6 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this instruction in the name of our Lord Jesus, stay away from believers who lead an undisciplined or idle life and are not following βthe wayβ they received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us (follow the first believerβs example). For we did not act in a disorderly way among you. 8 We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 Not that we lack this right, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate. [Example is from the greek word βtuposβ - originally, the mark of a blow, then a stamp struck by a die, a figure, copy, image, pattern, model, type, prefiguring something or somebody.] (π² This reminds me of how Jesus is called βthe firstβ which the greek written, is βprotoβ. Elsewhere, it says βwe shall be like himβ [βfor we shall see him as he isβ]. Itβs not any leap at all to figure that Jesus is Godβs prototype. So what do you think? Is it worth it to live through this all important contrast? Jesus said if we have faith the size of a small seed we could cast mountains into the sea.. What comes to mind is a bunch of βme firstβ beings, all throwing mountains at each other! You know? Just how do you create able to think and reason beings, and keep paradise/perfection intact?? For thinking includes at least some power of choice. β Which βfree willβ is a huge exaggeration of. When it comes to the faith/salvation (of all) - as to doctrine, I think itβs βfree-willβ versus βGod choosesβ. Thereβs a very short parable/story/illustration Jesus told, Mt.13:33, key word 3? βThe kingdomβ (the harvest?) βis like a woman working leaven into three batches of doughβ (three yummy baked loaves) βuntil all is leavenedβ. Is it possible βuntil all is leavenedβ has made us overlook βlike leavenβ. The kingdom progresses(?) like leaven.. If βGod choosesβ what role we play - takes our blinders off now, or upon the last great day, the GWT βdayβ - why would βtheirβ βcorrectionβ [kolasin] be any different than βoursβ? Jesus SAID, βAll those in the tombs/graves will hear Godβs voice and will come forthβ (from the graves/tombs) βsome into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium, yes?) And some into the resurrection of judgmentβ (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [βkolasin aionionβ or βeonian correctionβ Mt.25:46].
Those of the second resurrection are cast into the bright light of the GWT, great day of review βdayβ.. Into the radiant light of Godβs Presence/Spirit. Some - think despots, predators - are bound to feel some fiery inner torment. And burning shame! In another parable, βplease Abraham drop me a drip of water for my parched beingβ.. βYou will see the blind and the lameβ (the nobodies) βat the feastβ (bounty of Life) βbut you yourselves outsideβ (oh pharisee).. Imagine if youβd been a mean and cruel despot.. oh the gut wrenching remorse! ..Which would be sure to overtake the gnashing of teeth toward God.. Because Jesus βwill draw allβ. And beating oneself up over it (βwith many stripesβ) and the inner outside of the light darkness, would finally begin to brighten, giving way to the dawning of βChrist Crucifiedβ. Which is a strong enough image, and truth, to appease even the most guilty of consciences. Yet closure for all, because I canβt help thinking the heart wrenching remorse would take a while to dissipate? If it would totally at all? But would tesurface time to time..? God is βwriting His lawβ (love, 100% love) upon every heart and mind (each one, others first). Etched with his very finger upon the stone tablets of our heart and psyche.)
10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat! 11 Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other peopleβs business. 12 We urge such by the Lord Jesus to lead quiet lives, earning their own living, that they may eat their own bread. 13 As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never tire of doing good. 14 Take note of those who refuse to obey what we say in this letter. Stay away from them so they will be ashamed. 15 But donβt think of them as enemies, warn them as you would a brother or sister. 16 Now may the God of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. 17 Here is my greeting in my own handwritingβPaul. I do this in all my letters to prove they are from me. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.
