         Luke 13:10-17

10 One Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw the woman, he called her over and said, "You are now well." 13 He placed his hands on her, and at once she stood up straight and praised God. 14 The man in charge of the synagogue was angry because Jesus had healed someone on the Sabbath. So he said to the people, "Each week has six days when we can work. Come and be healed on one of those days, but not on the Sabbath." 15 The Lord replied, "Are you trying to fool someone?” [That’s Contemporary English Version] (Are you kidding Me!) “Won't any one of you untie your ox or donkey and lead it out to drink on a Sabbath? [Other Versions - You hypocrite! From hupokritΓ©s - one who answers, an actor, a hypocrite.] 16 This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?” 17 Jesus' words shamed his enemies. But everyone else in the crowd was happy about the wonderful things he was doing.

   ~ 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13 ~

1 - So when we (Paul and friends)  could stand it no longer, we thought it best to stay in Athens, 2 and send Timothy to you, our brother and God’s coworker in the good news of Christ, to encourage you in your faith, 3 and to keep you from being shaken by the troubles you were going through. For you know that we are destined for such troubles. 4 Even while we were with you, we warned you that troubles would soon come—and they did, as you well know. [Ps.2, the hostility.] (It’s not on God’s part! Not during this life, and not afterwards! But! That doesn’t mean He’s passive about the evils committed against people. Are you selling young people for sex? Manufacturing wars? You better shake in your boots for God is a Consuming Fire! And you will pay until the last penny and dreg you owe! ..But it will be inner torment, burning and scorching ..loathing and fear.. But! ..Giving way to gut wrenching remorse, praise God!!! The Light will dawn.. Same burning and eternal Light.πŸ’‘)

5 That is why, when I could bear it no longer, I sent Timothy to find out whether your faith was still strong. I was afraid that the tempter had gotten the best of you and that our work had been in vain. 6 But now Timothy has just returned, bringing us good news about your faith and love. He reports that you always remember our visit with joy and that you want to see us as much as we want to see you. 7 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our troubles and suffering, we were greatly encouraged by your faith. 8 Your strong faith in the Lord is like a breath of new life. 9 How can we possibly thank God enough for all the happiness you have brought us? 10 Day and night we sincerely pray that we will see you again and help you to have an even stronger faith. 11 May God our Father and our Lord Jesus direct us to you very soon. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 Into your hearts strong and blameless in holiness before God our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. [In holiness, sacred - from - hagiasmΓ³s - the process of advancing in holiness, the believer being progressively transformed BY the Lord into His likeness. Jesus is called the “first”/proto.] [1Thes.4:16]
