        Luke 24:13-29

13 That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them. 16 And although they saw him, they didn't recognize him. 17 He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” And they stopped walking, looking very sad. 18 And one of them, named Cleopas, asked Him, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who hasn’t heard of the things that  happened there these last few days?” 19 “What things?” Jesus asked. “The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said. “He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people. 20 The high priests and leaders handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him! 21 We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to restore Israel. And besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

22 Furthermore, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, 23 and not having found His body, they came saying they had seen a vision of angels, who said He is alive! 24 Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.”

25 Jesus then said to them, “O ye not understanding and slow of heart! Slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew near to the village to which they were going. And Jesus acted as if he were going on further. 29 But they urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is getting toward evening, and the day is now nearly over.” So He went in (to supper (hour) with them.

           ~Jude 1:14-19 ~

14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them, “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones” he said, 15 “to carry out justice and judgment of all - and by way of all - to convince [elรฉgxล – properly, to convince with solid, compelling evidence, especially to expose, prove wrong] they, of all the deeds of ungodliness, committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things spoken against him.” 16 These  are murmurers [from gogguzo - to mutter, murmur, generally of smoldering discontent] and faultfinders, following their own inordinate desires, they mouth arrogant words, and flatter for the sake of advantage.

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus predicted. 18They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy ungodly passions. 19 These are the ones who divide you, and follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
