 𝓓aily 𝓖ospel \/erses

            Luke 1:26-38

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” 29 Mary was confused by the angel's words and wondered what they meant. 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 He will be king forever, and his Kingdom will never end!” 34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I do not know a man?" 35 The angel replied, “God’s Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. 36 Elizabeth, your relative, is six months with a son in her old age. Although people said she was barren. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” [Other versions — “And nothing is impossible for God." ..”For there is nothing that God cannot do."] 38 And Mary said, “I am the Lord's handmaid. May it happen to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

7 That is why God’s Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, 8 don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, during the time of testing in the wilderness. 9 There they put me to the test and tried me, says God, although they had seen what I did for forty years. 10 I was displeased with this generation, And said, 'Their hearts continue to stray, and they have not learned my ways.' 11 So I swore, ‘Shall they enter my rest!?’ (Not while straying! To assume ‘forever’ everywhere, is only that, assumption based on preconceived bias and ideas.) [Another version - “..and said, ‘You people never show good sense.. you will not enter my rest’”] - {Including Mt.25:1-13?
