09/06 ~ From New Testament Letters
(In the Order Believed Written)
9 - But if you show partiality, you commit [ergazomai - work, trade, do] sin [hamartia - miss the mark] and are shown by the law to be doing wrong. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of breaking it all. {It’s all the same, not in degrees and grievousness/horror, but because “missing the mark” of perfection, large, huGe or small, is all “missing” the mark - hamartia - sin.}
11 The same God who told us to be faithful in marriage also told us not to murder. So if you are faithful in marriage, but murder someone, you still have broken God's Law. 12 So speak and act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to whoever shows no mercy. And mercy trumps judgment.
14 What good is it, my brethren, if someone says they have faith but has no works [ergon - work, behavior, task, labor, deed, action]? Can such faith save? 15 It’s like a brother or sister being poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says, “Go in peace, be warm and fed,” without giving them the things needed, what good is that?
