09-23 - 1 Thessalonians 4 9-18 ⭐️

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

     πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

9 - Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to genuinely love one another, 10 for that indeed is what you’re doing with the brothers and sisters throughout Macedonia. And we urge you to love more and more. 11 And also to live quietly, minding your own affairs, working with your own hands, as we taught before, 12 so you may walk properly in the world and not be dependent on anyone.

     13 And we don’t want you to be uninformed about those who are asleep (in death) that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope [elpis - expectation]. {Have not hope/expectation because they have not yet heard the “good news for all”.}

     14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so {in that way} shall God bring with Jesus, those who are asleep in him.

     15 For we who are alive - who are left until his coming - will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

    16 The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command. With the voice of an archangel. And so it is, with the sounding of the trumpet of God, shall the dead in Christ rise first. - This we declare to you, by a word from the Lord. - 17 Then we who are alive to his coming, will be caught up together with them, in the clouds, to meet him! [The bridegroom at his coming. So where’s the bride? The bride is Jerusalem, both the millennial Jerusalem and the “New Jerusalem”.] And so.. shall we always be with the Lord. {Where he goes, we go. Zech.14:4 - “On that day, his feet shall stand on Mt of Olives.” ..Isaiah 2:3 - “And many peoples from all nations, shall come, and say: ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.’ For out of Zion shall go forth the law” (love God, and thus love all) “and - out of Jerusalem - shall go forth the word [logos - logic, reasoning] of the LORD.”}

     18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Tomorrow - 1 Thessalonians 5:1-14

My own studies, had to paraphrase to post.. which has turned out to be an interesting way to ‘enter the ‘story’.

Start the day with a Psalm (jan 1-20, feb-20’s, mar-30’s, apr-40’s, etc. dec-120-150)
