09-28 - 2 Thessalonians 2 11 to 3 5

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

     🕊️reading & study 🕊️

11 - Therefore God sends [pempó - send, transmit, permit to go, put forth - occurred seventy nine times, never translated permitted, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance includes “thrust in”] {let happen(?} a strong delusion, that they would believe what is false. {Is there a stronger delusion - with more effect - than creation just happened? There’s two top strong delusions. A sort of king and priest collusion? So to speak..}12 In order that should be judged all the noT [pisteuó - belief, faith, trust] (of) the truth, and (of the) approval [eudokeó - well pleased with, taking delight in, approval] (of) the [adikia - injustice, unrighteousness, wrongdoing]. {According to God, creator/sustainer! But instead thinks well of the false}.

     13 We however always give thanks to God for you brethren! Beloved of the LORD! For he has chosen you from the beginning [arché - beginning, origin] for {the role in this drama of} salvation by sanctification [hagiasmos - by consecration, by setting apart for a sacred purpose]. {For God’s purpose. “All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare. “And the ancient of days took his seat” Daniel 7:9.}

     Salvation/rescue/safety by the Spirit(/Presence of God) and belief in the truth. {The “end-aim” - a saturation/sealing, saturated with God’s Spirit/Presence and also with the Truth - “sealed”.}

     14 To this he has called you. Called us by our (good news) gospel, to wit, the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus!

     15 So then, stand firm and hold to the traditions that we taught you, either by our spoken word or written by letter. 16 And may our Lord Jesus himself, and God our Father, who is loving us and giving us an enduring {never fading} comfort, and who by grace, gives us the good hope [elpis - expectation], 17 may he comfort your hearts and make them steadfast in every good work and word.

     3:1 - Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the message of the LORD may run its course speedily and be honored, as has happened among you. 2 And that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith! 3 But the LORD is faithful. He will establish you, and guard you against the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord Jesus about you, that you are doing and will do the things the gospel has instructed. 5 And may the LORD direct your hearts to the love of God, and into the faithfulness and steadfastness of Christ Jesus.

Tomorrow - 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18

My own studies, had to paraphrase to post.. which has turned out to be an interesting way to ‘enter the ‘story’.

Start the day with a Psalm (jan 1-20, feb-20’s, mar-30’s, apr-40’s, etc. dec-120-150)
