/08 - GospeL Verses

- “Woe to you, Chorazin.. Woe to you, Bethsaida..” Jesus said, “For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have turned long ago, and sat in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more bearable” [anektoteros - more tolerable, from anéxomai - ana - up, completing a process, and exō - to have] {will be better during completion of the process} “for Tyre and Sidon than it will be for you in [en - in, on, at, by, with, among, within] the judgment.

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven..? You shall be brought down to Hades [hadés - from “A” - not, and idein/eidō - see; not seen] {gone, state of gone.. pre the Greek myth}.

The one who hears [akouó - hears, listens, comprehends by hearing] you, hears me, and the one who rejects [atheteó - sets aside, does away with] you, sets aside me, and the one who sets aside me, sets aside he who sent me.”

And when the seventy-two returned, with joy, they said, “Lord! In your name, even the demons are subject to us!!” 18 And Jesus said, “I beheld Satan [satanas - adversary] {first gone rogue one} as lightning fall from heaven. 19 And see, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy [exthrós - hostility, and deep rooted hatred, resolved to inflict harm]. And nothing shall harm you.

Nevertheless, don’t rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
