 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

09/05 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

1- My brethren (brothers and sisters) let there be no favoritism as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. {Favoritism skews a message.} 2 For if someone wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your meeting, and a poor person in old clothing also comes in, 3 and you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “Sit here in this preferred seat,” while you say to the poor person, “Stand over there,” or, “Sit on the floor,” 4 have you not then made division and distinctions among yourselves and are judges with evil intent? (Not impartial.) 5 Listen, my much loved ones, hasn’t God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs to the kingdom he has promised to those who love him?

6 But you dishonor the poor one. And isn’t it the rich who oppress you, and drag you into court? 7 And who insult the honorable name by which we are called?

8 If you really fulfill the Royal Law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor [plΓ©sion - any other person] as yourself” - then, you are doing well.
