07-16 - From Heb-10 Mk-2

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 10:23-29  Mark 2:13-22

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 10:23-29

23 - Hold fast and keep ahold of the hope [elpis - expectation] you have affirmed [homología - from homoú - the same, together and légō - speak to a conclusion, lay to rest] {be confident!} without wavering, for he who has made {and notarized} the promise is faithful.

     24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. 26 For if we willfully and deliberately practice transgression, after taking to ourselves the knowledge of the Truth, there’s no new sacrifice for sins, 27 and we’re left with a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. {Earthly. Even the three mentions of lake of fire are at fiery events. Rev.16:14-15-16 versus Mt.25:1-13; MT.13:30.}

      28 Any Hebrew who set aside the law of Moses perishes without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse result [timória - punishment, penalty] do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God! And has profaned the blood of the covenant by which they were sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace!? {😳 Yet “His mercy endures forever”! Jesus said, “All in the tombs/graves will hear his voice and will rise. Some into Life” (into serving called reigning during Jesus’ long second advent, surely a full scope version of his first too brief one) “and some into judgment“ which elsewhere he calls an aionion kolasis / eonian korrection / age of correction - surely(?) the GWT “judgment”/discernment/review of history and closure for all ‘Day’, Jn.5:28-29, Mt.25:46.}

            🌙 P.M. Mark 2:13-22

13 - Jesus went out again beside the sea, and all the people were coming to him, and he was teaching them. 14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi [Matthew] the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him. (Matthew was a Jewish/Hebrew collecting taxes for hated Rome! Such tax collector’s were especially despised.)

     15 And as he reclined at table in Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

     17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are not well. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Hamartia - “missing the mark” of? perfection. “There are none righteous, not one” Romans 3:10. Some may think they are righteous, perfect, or well enough. But! God is Life (surely?) and he “is perfect”. So we can see how this imperfection is entropy? This slow gehenna fading away, which “does not quit” but concludes in the exact opposite of Life. So - 1Tim.4:10 - “God is savior of all” having “built in the remedy from the foundation/beginning”.}

     18 Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. And some came and said to him, “Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t?” 19 And Jesus said, “Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they won’t fast. 20 The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away, and then they’ll fast. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the patch tears away, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. 22 And no one puts new wine into an old wineskin. If they do, the wine will burst the skin. The wine is lost, and the skin is ruined. But new wine is for new wineskins.” {And new wineskins are needed for the new wine.}

07-14 - From Heb-10 Lk-5

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 10:14-17  Luke 5:17-26

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 10:14-17

14 - For now, by one, single offering, he has perfected for all time, those who are being sanctified. {Decontaminated of imperfection/entropy, completed later.} {God is Life, and “is perfect” but no option to stray in Eden would be an Ant Farm! So now this imperfection/entropy which “doesn’t quit” so Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32, because “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10.}

     15 And the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} also bears witness, for after saying, 16  “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days” declares the LORD, “I will put my laws in their hearts. And will write them on their minds.” (Rev.7:9,4; 14:4, truth virgins?) 17 Then he adds, “I will no more be mindful of their sin [hamartia - missing the mark] and their lawless deeds.” {As Perfection.. purity, unavoidably consumes impurity. “Our God is a consuming fire” Heb.12:29. And iS Life, and “perfect” ..So?}

            🌙 P.M. Luke 5:17-26

17 - One day when he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there {the ‘experts’, authorities, basically political not spiritual/devoted} who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the LORD was with Jesus to heal. 18 And some men brought a man on a bed who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus. 19 But finding no way to bring him in, because of the size and press of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles before Jesus. 20 And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man! Your sins are forgiven you!” 21 And the scribes and Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

     22 Jesus perceiving their thoughts, answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’? or, ‘Rise up and walk’? 24 But so you know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” - he said to the man who was paralyzed - “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.” 25 And immediately he rose up before them, picked up what he had been lying upon, and went home glorifying God. 26 Amazement seized the crowd, and filled with awe, they glorified God, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today!”

     {This is not a contradiction of yesterday from Mark 2. It was a crowd, I’m sure they said more than one thing. All so called contradictions in the bible are easily explained. Eye witness accounts always differ in details. Genealogies likely came from human records, so discrepancies are likely. “Four corners of the Earth” means north, south, east, west. And fyi, it was a big bang into the universe as is, then it was put in motion.. not a steady state explosion still going on for billions of years.}

ACTS 4 23-37

 Luke wrote “of the things fulfilled among us” paraphrased  [ ] ref  { } thots

     Book of the Acts of the First Believers

23 When Peter and John were released {from the sanhedrin/court} they went to the rest of the believers and reported what the chief priests and elders had said. 24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together in prayer and praise, saying, “Sovereign LORD, you who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and everything in them, 25 and who through our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God} — ‘Why do the nations rage?! And the people devise vain things?! 26 The highest ones of earth gather and set theirselves, against the LORD and against his Anointed.’ 27 In fact, this has happened here in this very city! For Herod (Antipas), Pilate the governor, the Gentiles (of the nations) and the people of Israel were united against Jesus. Your holy servant, whom you anointed. 28 But it was your purpose, and your plan, that you ordained to happen! 29 And now, LORD, hear their threats and grant to your servants to speak your word [logos - reasoning, message; root word of logic] with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, with signs and wonders performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

     31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God}. And they continued to speak the word/message of God with boldness. [Ps.2]

     {God is Life and “is perfect” so imperfect is entropy (which “doesn’t quit”) and “God is savior..” 1TIM.4:10. Also “perfect” means the ‘end’ result of this one & done (greek word “tel” the end-aim) can’t be anything but the best one possible.}

     32 Those who believed were of one heart and mind. No one even said what belonged to them was theirs, but they had all things in common. {Not a state supplies.. and thus owns, situation.} 33 And with great power the apostles were proclaiming and testifying to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34 And no one among them was in need, for as many as were owners of lands and houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and put it in the apostle’s hands, and it was distributed to each as any had need. [From a Biblehub commentary (Ellicott’s) - “There was, in this sale of their estates, a proof of faith in the future desolation which Jesus had foretold, having properties in Palestine” (the name began as the world’s name for Israel) “was likely to be a source of anxiety rather than profit. Like Jeremiah had shown his faith in the future restoration of his people by purchasing the field at Anathoth”.]

     36 And so it was too, that Joseph, also called Barnabas, which means son of encouragement [paraklésis], a Levite (line who served in the temple, but not as a priest) and a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money to the apostles.

     {Barnabas goes with Paul on Paul’s first “missionary journey” - the first of his travels proclaiming the good news of resurrection, and belief and following Jesus to inherit the better resurrection - Mt.25:46 “into Life” (Mt.25:1-13!) or into “aionion kolasis / eonian korrection / age of correction - Rev.20, “putting on perfection and (thus) immortality” at the palin(again)genesis, Rev.21:5, tho “all” was changed into “all things”. Still true but a downgrade. Note, the three mentions of lake of fire are at huge, fiery events. Father’s outline(s) - the week plus 1 millennia; the Spring and Fall holy days of Lev.23 as 1st and 2nd advents.}

06-25 - From Heb-5 Mt-2

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 5:10-14  Matthew 2:1-12 and ACTS 4:1-22 separately

             ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 5:10-14

10 - So Jesus being designated and declared by God, a high priest after the order of Melchizedek, 11 about this we have much to say, which is hard to explain, since you’ve become dull of hearing! {Melchizedek seeming to be “a priest forever” confirms Jesus’ pre-existence with God. He being “forever first” (proto) and onLy straight out from God one.}

     12 By this time you ought to be teachers! But you need someone to teach you again the primary, basic and beginning principles of the message of God. You still need milk, and not solid food.

     13 Everyone living on milk lacks skill in the message of righteousness and justice [dikaiosuné - righteousness, justice] since they are still but a child.

     14 But solid food is for the mature. For those having sharpened their powers of discernment, by the constant practice of distinguishing good from evil.

     [Good & evil - KALOS - good, beautiful, noble, excellent, honest, honorable, beneficial, tends toward life; and KAKOS - bad, evil, wicked, harmful, noisome, injurious; from root kakía - inner malice,  compromised, as in the "rot is already in the wood"]. {Imperfection/entropy/decay/corruption.. hamartia - “missing the mark” translated sin. Imperfect is an abyss of potential (Rev.9:2). God is Life, and “is Perfect”. Perfect is the final Word of everything. But there’s the matter of at least some power of choice is included in being able to think and reason. God as Life lives through and experiences all things that occur.. and endowed thinking and reasoning to man and angel anyway.. Engineered it so the drama is a one and done.

     “In spite of ourselves, we’ll wind up a sittin’ on a rainbow.. In spite of ourselves..” John Prine.. “nothin’ but big ole hearts shining in our eyes..”

            🌙 P.M. Matthew 2:1-12

1 - After Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of king Herod the Great, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who’s been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and we’ve come to worship him.”

     3 Now when Herod (a Hebrew/Jew) heard this, he was vexed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 So assembling the leaders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, he questioned them where the Christ was prophesied to be born. 5 They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet, 6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah. For from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’”

     7 Then Herod secretly having called the wise men inquired of them what time the star had appeared. 8 And he sent them on to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you’ve found him, bring me word, so I too may come and worship him.”

     9 After this, the wise men {astronomer, astrologers} went on their way. And behold, the star they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw it, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And going inside, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they knelt and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And then warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way.

06-22 - From Heb-4 Lk-1

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 4:12-16  Luke 1:67-80

           ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 4:12-16

12 - The word of God is living and active. It’s sharper than any sword for it penetrates even to the dividing of soul from spirit, and joint from marrow. It discerns and brings to light the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

     13 None of us are hidden from his sight, but all are fully seen by the eyes of him with whom is our account [greek word logos - reasoning].

     14 We have a great high priest. {Confessor, able to take the loose ends of life, and our life, and weave them into the beautiful tapestry God is weaving.} Because we have such a high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us - hold fast - {and rest in} our confession [homologia, homo-logia - literally “together-Word”].

     15 For we don’t have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. But he was tested in every respect even as we are, yet without sin [hamartia - missing the mark].

     16 So then! Let us, with confidence, draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find the grace that helps us in our time of need. {Which is now and every day.}

     (PSALM 68:13 - If you rest (enter rest) like a dove in the sheep’s pasture, you will have wings like silver with feathers dipped in gold.) {Radiant, reflecting light.}

            🌙 P.M. Luke 1:67-80

67 - And the baby’s father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, 68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel! He has visited and redeemed his people! 69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, 70 as he said by his holy prophets of old, 71 that we should be saved from our enemies - and from the hand of -> all who hate us, 72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant, 73 the oath he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us 74 that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. 76 And you, child [John the baptist] will be called the prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, 77 to give the knowledge of salvation to his people {those that are his, Jn.13:3 but the word “things” is added/inserted} as the forgiveness of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of our God! Whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high! 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death. And to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

    80 And the child grew and became strong in spirit. And he was in the wilderness until the day of his public appearing to Israel. {Microcosm.. everything in patterns.. progresses from small scope to full scope, like the adopting and message to Israel, and then the adopting and message to the nations. Smaller scope to full scope, including the advents of Jesus. Why the preoccupation with “missing the mark”? Because it can never work, it’s an “iron rod” / unbreakable measure. God iS Life, and “is perfect” so imperfect is two things, entropy, a process that “doesn’t quit” and an abyss of potential. The best news is, perfect, means the ‘end’ result of all this - greek word “tel” root of tele-scope, means the “end-aim” - can onLy be the veRy best one possible.}

06-18 - From Heb-3 Lk-1

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 3:7-11  Luke 1:26-38

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 3:12-19

12 - Take care, brothers and sisters that no one ave an evil [ponéros - evil, wicked, bad, malicious, harmful] unbelieving heart, which can lead you to falling away from the living God. 13 Instead encourage and exhort one another every day, as long as it’s called “today,” that none may be hardened by the misleading trickiness of sin.

     {And imperfection itself, for the word is “hamartia” - “missing the mark” of Life(!) because God is Life and also “is perfect” so imperfect is entropy, a process that “doesn’t quit”. “GOD has consigned all to disobedience” Ro.11:32, altogether at once. A ‘quick’ one and done, because an ant farm is no paradise?} [Hamartía - derived from A "not" and méros - part, share of – so properly, no-share, no part of, loss, forfeiture, because not hitting the target. A target we cannot possibly attain to on our own. And we are all in the same boat.]

     14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed, we hold our original confidence, firm to the end [telos - end, purpose, goal, completion, fulfillment; from tel - reaching the “end-aim”].

     15 As it’s said, “Today! - If you hear his voice, don’t harden your heart as in the rebellion.”

     16 For who were those who heard, and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt, led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned and fell in the wilderness? 18 And to who moreover did he swear [omnuó - to swear, take an oath] (they) would not enter his rest, if not to those who refused him? [Apeithéō – disobeyed, literally, refuse to be persuaded (by the Lord), not allow oneself to be persuaded, to not comply with, withhold belief.]

     19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of disbelief. [But! Jn.12:32, because 1Tim.4:10. Rev.20 is told like describing crests of waves and not much of the in between.]

            🌙 P.M. Luke 1:39-45

39 - In those days Mary went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah. 40 And she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

     4 When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby in her womb leaped! And she was filled with the Holy Spirit{/Presence of God}. 42 And she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women! And blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 Why is this granted to me? That the mother of my Lord should come here! 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy! 45 Blessed is she who believed there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the LORD!”

05-23 - From 2Pet-2 Jn-18 Mt-26

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 2 Peter 2:8-17  Jn.18:3-14; Mt.26:47-57

            ☀️ A.M. 2 Peter 2:8-17

8 - For as a righteous one living day after day, in a fallen city, he (Lot) was tormented of soul over the lawless deeds he saw and heard. [Lawless - anomos, from nomos - law, and A - not] {Interestingly, when Jesus spoke of keeping us in God’s name/reputation/cause, the word is onoma. Inescapable law of life - God iS life. And he “is perfect”. Only he can make, and then keep us “perfect”.}

     9 But the Lord knows how to deliver the devoted from temptation. [Peirasmos - temptation, trial, testing, From peirazo - a putting to proof (by experiment)] {😮 This whole letting things run course! ..Because an ant farm is no paradise. But imperfection is entropy (which “doesn’t quit”) so Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32, because “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10 …The root word of Logic, is Logos.}

     And he’s able to keep the unrighteous unto ‘day’ of judgment and correction [kolazo - to chastise, correct, properly - curtail, punish]. {Punishment being the extreme of curtail/correct.} 10 Especially those walking in defiling [miasmos - contaminating, polluting, corrupting] passions, despising of authority. Bold and willful, they don’t tremble as they blaspheme.

     11 But angels, though so much greater in standing, don’t pronounce a judgment against them before the LORD. 12 Yet they {teachers of error?} are like irrational animals,  creatures of instinct, producing ruin, and bound to be taken as beasts in a trap, speak evil of things they don’t understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption {earthly}. 13 Suffering wrong as the wage {result} for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to be drunk in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while at the LORD’s table with you.

     14 They have eyes full of adultery, and are insatiable. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in avarice. Children of a curse! 15 Forsaking the right way, they’ve gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the gain and advantage that comes from lawlessness, 16 but he was rebuked by a speechless donkey speaking with human voice to restrain the prophet's madness.

     17 These are waterless springs. Mists driven by storm. For whom gloom of {inner} darkness is kept [téreó - kept, guarded, observed, watched over, reserved]. {A reservation.. meaning the fruit is inner darkness and gloom.}

            🌙 P.M. Jn.18:3-14; Mt.26:47-57

Jn.18:3 - So Judas, with a band of soldiers, and officers from the leaders, the chief priests and Pharisees, went there with torches, lanterns and swords. {In lieu of pitchforks.} 4 Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said, “Who do you seek?”

     5 They answered, “Jesus of Nazareth.” And he said, “I am he.”

     Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 7 So he asked them again, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” 8 Jesus answered, “I told you, I am he. So, if you seek me, let these go.” 9 This fulfilled the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have not lost one.”

     10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, named Malchus, and cut off his right ear. 11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put away your sword. Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” {The true Passover sacrifice, strong enough to appease eveRy conscience. Imperfection is an abyss of potential ..and is entropy/this slow gehenna that “does not quit”, thus the resurrection. And the remedy strong enough to appease eveRy conscience and convince every psyche, making way for reconciliation to Life/God.}

     12 So the band of soldiers and their captain and officers of the leaders arrested Jesus, bound him, 13 led him to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had advised the leaders that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people. {A prophecy but which he meant on behalf of theiR seats within the Roman Empire’s occupation.}

     MATTHEW 26:47 - While Jesus was still speaking to the disciples, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders (leaders) of the people.

     48 Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss in greeting is the one. Seize him.” 49 And he came up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” [Teacher.] And kissed him. 50 Jesus said, “Friend, for what have you come?”

    Then they laid hands on him and seized him. 51 And then, one of those who were with Jesus drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear! 52 But Jesus said, “Sheath your sword, for all who take the sword will - perish (earthly) - by the sword. (And Jesus healed the ear, Lk.22:51.) 53 Do you think I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that this must be so?” {Eyewitness accounts always differ, especially if some time has passed.}

     55 Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out at this late hour, as against a robber, with swords and clubs? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you didn’t seize me. 56 But all this takes place fulfilling the Scriptures of the prophets.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

     57 And those who had seized Jesus led him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders (lawyers and leaders) had gathered.
