Hebrews 10:23-29  Mark 2:13-22

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 10:23-29

23 - Hold fast and keep ahold of the hope [elpis - expectation] you have affirmed [homología - from homoú - the same, together and légō - speak to a conclusion, lay to rest] {be confident!} without wavering, for he who has made {and notarized} the promise is faithful.

     24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. 26 For if we willfully and deliberately practice transgression, after taking to ourselves the knowledge of the Truth, there’s no new sacrifice for sins, 27 and we’re left with a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. {Earthly. Even the three mentions of lake of fire are at fiery events. Rev.16:14-15-16 versus Mt.25:1-13; MT.13:30.}

      28 Any Hebrew who set aside the law of Moses perishes without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse result [timória - punishment, penalty] do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God! And has profaned the blood of the covenant by which they were sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace!? {😳 Yet “His mercy endures forever”! Jesus said, “All in the tombs/graves will hear his voice and will rise. Some into Life” (into serving called reigning during Jesus’ long second advent, surely a full scope version of his first too brief one) “and some into judgment“ which elsewhere he calls an aionion kolasis / eonian korrection / age of correction - surely(?) the GWT “judgment”/discernment/review of history and closure for all ‘Day’, Jn.5:28-29, Mt.25:46.}

13 - Jesus went out again beside the sea, and all the people were coming to him, and he was teaching them. 14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi [Matthew] the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him. (Matthew was a Jewish/Hebrew collecting taxes for hated Rome! Such tax collector’s were especially despised.)

     15 And as he reclined at table in Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

     17 And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are not well. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Hamartia - “missing the mark” of? perfection. “There are none righteous, not one” Romans 3:10. Some may think they are righteous, perfect, or well enough. But! God is Life (surely?) and he “is perfect”. So we can see how this imperfection is entropy? This slow gehenna fading away, which “does not quit” but concludes in the exact opposite of Life. So - 1Tim.4:10 - “God is savior of all” having “built in the remedy from the foundation/beginning”.}

     18 Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. And some came and said to him, “Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t?” 19 And Jesus said, “Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they won’t fast. 20 The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away, and then they’ll fast. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the patch tears away, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. 22 And no one puts new wine into an old wineskin. If they do, the wine will burst the skin. The wine is lost, and the skin is ruined. But new wine is for new wineskins.” {And new wineskins are needed for the new wine.}

            ☀️ Ephesians 3:8-21

8 - To me (Paul) though I’m the very least of all the saints (believers, called out ones) this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles (the nations) the unsearchable riches of Christ! 9 In order to enlighten all about the plan, the program, the mystery hidden for ages. Hidden in God, who created all.

     10 And so that through the church {the true faith, genuine “way” of Jesus} the diverse wisdom of God might be clearly made known to the principalities [arché] and powers in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose which he brought about in Christ Jesus our Lord. {“At the fullness of time, all in Christ” Ephesians 1:10. Though all/pas was changed to all things, three times in this one verse alone.}

     12 In Him (Jesus) we have boldness and access - with confidence - through our faith in him.

     13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I’m suffering for you, which is for your glory {and benefit}. 14 And for this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family of heaven, and on earth, is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory, he may grant you to be strengthened - with power through his Spirit in your inner being - 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have the strength to comprehend with all believers what is the breadth, length, height and depth of 19 the love {revealed} in Christ that surpasses all knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God. {I’m convinced what needed to be “appeased” is not an ‘angry god’ but the human conscience. After all, imperfection is an abyss of potential. And - eveRy - conscience needs to be appeased.}

      20 Now to he who is able to do far more than all we ask or think, according to his power at work in us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. {Big revival is prophecied as man’s world approaches its climax. That and a lot of “lawlessness” and “delusion”/enchantment. After all the still tares will gather to that last battle, against, you guessed it, Israel. Isaiah 24:20/Rev.10:4.}

            🌙 John 10:33-42

33 - They {leaders of Israel, albeit during occupation by Rome, actually more political than spiritual/religious.. executed Christ due to concerns over their seats of power not only over Israel, but with Rome. It’s also why “tax collectors” were looked down on, because, though Hebrew/of Israel during occupation, they collected taxes for Rome.}

     (The leaders) answered Jesus, “It’s not for a good work that we’re going to stone you! But for blasphemy! For you, being a man, make yourself out to be God!”

     34 Then Jesus asked them, “Isn’t it written in your Law, ‘I said, ye are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God was given, and Scripture can’t be broken, 36 how do you say of he who the Fatherbb set apart and sent into the world, blasphemy, because I said, ‘I’m - the Son - of God’?”

     {Set apart, called “first” and is the only straight out from God one, so close, Father and Son both administer God’s Spirit/Presence. Called First/proto, the prototype. God’s Spirit/Presence will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity.}

    37 “If I’m not doing the works of my Father, then don’t believe me. 38 But if I do them, even if you don’t believe me, believe the works, so you may know and understand the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their grasp.

     40 He went then, again, across River Jordan to the place where John had first been baptizing, and there he stayed for a while. 41 And many came to him, and were saying to one another, “John did no sign, but everything he said about this man has been true.” 42 And many in that region were believing.

ACTS 28 16-31

                             (Paraphrased)

1 - And when we came into Rome itself, Paul was allowed to stay in his own house, with a soldier to guard him. 17 After three days he called together the local leaders of the Jewish faith, and when they had gathered, he said, “Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. 18 When they had questioned me, they would have set me at liberty, because there was no good reason for a death penalty in my case. 19 But because the Jews objected, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar—though I had no charge I wanted to bring against my nation. 20 But for this reason, I have asked to see you and speak to you, since it is because of the hope of Israel that I am in these chains.” 21 And they said, “We’ve not received any letters from Judea about you. And none of the brothers coming here has reported anything or spoken any evil of you. 22 But we would like to hear what your views are, in regard to this sect, which everywhere is spoken against.”

     23 On another day they came to him at the house in larger numbers, and from morning until evening he talked, testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus, both from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets. 24 And some were convinced by what he said, but others weren’t. 25 After disagreeing among theirselves, but not before Paul said, “The Holy Spirit was right in saying through Isaiah the prophet, 26 ‘Go to this people, and say - You will hear but not understand, and you will see but not understand or perceive.’” (Human condition.) 27 “‘For this people's heart has grown dull, with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’ 28 Therefore (for this reason) this salvation of God will be sent to the Gentiles (the nations) and they will listen.” (And thus begins the “time of the nations”.)

     30 Then Paul lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, 31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus with all boldness with no one bothering him.
