08-20 - 1John 4 4-6 Mark 8 11-21

Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

(An 8TH ‘DAY’ Studies Journal)

            ☀️ A.M. 1John 4:4-6

Disciple John wrote, 4 - Little children, you are from God and have overcome them {the anti-Christs/Christ deniers/the world, overcome in the heart} for he (God) who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world {“the ‘god’ of this world” system and empires including today’s lascivious, increasingly lawless, $ity which rode the beasts which are becoming one, to the 7hills/continents}.

     5 They (listening to the world) are {still} of the world, and so they {think and } speak from the world {view and sentiment, including the sheep’s clothing worn for political self interest} and - the world - listens to them. {And is enchanted.}

     6 We are {being} of God. Whoever knows God hears us. Whoever is not {being} of God doesn’t hear us. And by this we can know the Spirit of truth, from the spirit of error. {And truth from half truth. Are we listening to the world/Satan/“accuser”/divider? And accelerator.. accelerating toward..? Which call, are we listening to? To armageddon, aka, war, or to Jesus’ second advent, surely(?) a full scope version of his first so brief one, to serve called reigning -> Rev.20 and Lev.23 as an outline of the advents. One of Father’s good riddles!}

            🌙 P.M. MARK 8:11-21

11 - The Pharisees came around and began to argue with Jesus. They asked him for a sign from heaven, as a test.

     12 Jesus sighed deeply in his spirit, and said to them, “Why do you seek a sign? Truly, I tell you, no sign will be given to you.” {Except all the healings and miracles, lol. The crowds that gathered and followed and were healed.} 13 And so he went back to the boat and returned to the other side of the lake.

     14 Now the disciples had forgotten to bring any bread, and had only one loaf with them in the boat. 15 And as they were rowing away Jesus said, “Watch out and beware, the leaven of the Pharisees {not genuine} and of the leaven of Herod {politics? Herod was hebrew and for Rome, the occupation of Israel of that day, current state, Ps.80:11-13}.” 16 And so the disciples began to discuss with one another the fact they had no bread.

     17 But Jesus, aware of it, said, “Why are you discussing among yourselves the fact we have no bread? Don’t you understand? Are your hearts still so hard [póroó - hardened, callous, insensitive]? 18 Do your eyes see and your ears hear? Do you remember 19 when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand? How many baskets did you collect after we all ate?” They said, “Twelve.”

     20 “And the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets were left?” And they said, “Seven.”

     21 And he said, “Do you not yet see?”

06-15 - From Heb-2 Lk-24 Mk-16

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 2:15-18  Lk.24:49-53, Mk.16:19,20

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 2:15-18

[14 - Since the sons and daughters are flesh and blood, Jesus {“forever first” and the firstborn Son} took on flesh and blood to be like them. He did this so that by dying he would destroy death and the one holding/using its strength, the devil, Greek “diabolos” - “accuser, slanderer in order to cause harm”] 15 - and so, to deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to a life of captivity. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.

     17 Therefore it was due benevolence [opheiló - owed, was indebted, an obligation] to be like the brothers and sisters in every respect - in order to - be a merciful and faithful high priest in His service to God, and to satisfy the debt [hilaskomai - satisfy debt, pay bill, gain or regain the goodwill or favor of, to appease, atone] for the sins [hamartía - noun derived from A - not, and méros - a part, share of – properly, no-share, no part of, loss (forfeiture) because not hitting the target, sin, missing the mark] of the people.  {Ro.11:32 - “God has consigned all to disobedience that he may have mercy upon all.” I’m convinced what needs appeasing is the human conscience.}

      18 And because he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. {Big ‘winds’ these days.. We can be tempted to join the accuser, and the ideas, trends/spirits of “the world”.}

            🌙 P.M. Lk.24:49-53, Mk.16:19,20

49 - “Look” Jesus said, “I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But wait in the city (Jerusalem) until you’re clothed with power from on high.”

     50 Then walking with them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands Jesus blessed them. 51 And while he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 Then they worshiped, and went back to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And were continually in the temple praising God.

     MARK 16:19 - So then the Lord Jesus, having spoken with them, was taken up into heaven. And he sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they (followers, witnesses) went out and told the message everywhere. And the Lord worked with them, confirming the message with signs [sémeions - miracles, signs, tokens, wonders].

05-12 - 1Pet-2 Jn-13

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • 1 Peter 2:17-25  John 13:21-38

            ☀️ A.M. 1 Peter 2:17-25

17 - Respect and honor all. Love your fellow believers. Fear/revere God. Honor the emperor. {No violent protests! Against another party. 🤔 Compliance up to law breaking or being ‘stamped’?} 18 Servants/workers (in a work obligation system, for a loan of money or land) be subject to your masters/misters/boss with respect. And not only to the good and gentle, but also to the unjust. 19 For this is a mindful thing, when conscious of God, if one endures sorrow while suffering unjustly.

     20 For what credit is it, if you do wrong and when suffering for it, you endure? But if when you do good, you suffer for it with quiet endurance, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. 21 Indeed to this you’ve been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so you might follow in his steps. 22 He committed no wrong, no sin, neither did any falsehood cross his lips. 23 When he was insulted, he didn’t return insult. And when he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but continued entrusting himself to he who judges justly.

     24 And he suffered for us, bearing our sins in his body on the tree. That we might die to sin and live to all that is right. It is by his wounds you have been healed! 25 For like sheep, you were straying, but you have now returned (a pleasant sacrifice, a whole burnt offering) to the shepherd and bishop [episkopos - superintendent, bishop, from epí - upon, a fitting contact, which intensifies skopós - look intently, keep an eye on (you have returned to the) overseer, manager] of your soul.

     {How do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd, keep paradise/perfection intact? No option to stray in Eden and creation would be an ant farm?}

            🌙 P.M. John 13:21-38

21 - Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and said, “Truly, I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.” 22 The disciples looked at one another, not knowing what to think. 23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved (this is John, it’s how he sometimes referred to himself) was at the table by Jesus, 24 so Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus who he was talking about.

     25 So that disciple, leaning close to Jesus said, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, “It’s he to whom I will give this piece of bread when I’ve dipped it.” So when he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

     27 Then after Judas had taken the bread, Satan entered into him, and Jesus said to him, “What you’re going to do, do quickly.” 28 Now no one at the table knew why he said this. 29 Some thought because Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him to go buy what they would need for the feast {Jesus’ “last supper” (last meal) was noT the Passover meal} or that he should give something to the poor.

     30 And so it was, that after receiving the piece of bread, Judas left and went out into the night.

     31 And when he had gone, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God glorified in him. 32 For if God is glorified in him also God will glorify him in himself and at once.

     33 Little children, it’s only a short while that I’m with you. You’ll seek me, and just as I said to your countrymen, ‘Where I’m going you cannot follow.’ 34 And now a new commandment I give to you, love one another, just as I’ve loved you, you also love one another. 35 And by this all will know you’re my disciples! If you have love (true affection) for one another.”

     36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered, “Where I’m going you can’t follow me now, but you’ll follow me later.” {Personally, I don’t believe this means ‘going to heaven’ but Peter was later crucified (legend/tradition has it as upside down because Peter said he was in no way worthy to be executed the same way Jesus was). When in reality Peter was not able to ‘go there’ then, which was proven later.} 37 Peter said, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!” 38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, I tell you Peter, the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times.”

04-19 - Phil-4 Mt-22

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

 • Philippians 4:14-23  Matthew 22:23-33

            ☀️ Philippians 4:14-23

14 - It was kind of you to share my trouble. 15 And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of this good news, when I (Paul) left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in regard to the matter of giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in (neighboring) Thessalonica you sent me aid twice.

     17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit! 18 Now I’m full, I have enough and more. I’m well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. What a fragrant offering! - A sacrifice {on God’s altar} - acceptable and pleasing to God {Ps.40:6}.

     19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches through the glory that’s in Christ Jesus.

     20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

     21 Greet every saint (believers/followers) in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you. 22 All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit always!

            🌙 Matthew 22:23-33

23 - Later that same day some Sadducees came to him (Jesus). Now, the Sadducee party says there’s no rising from the dead. They came and asked him a question, 24 “Teacher” they said, “Moses told us, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother should marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother’s name.’ 25 Now there were seven brothers and the first married and died, having no children and left his wife to his brother. 26 So too the second and third, down to the seventh. 27 And after them all, the woman died. 28 In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.”

     29 Jesus answered them, “You are wrong. You know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they are not given in marriage nor wed, but are like the angels in heaven.

     31 And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you never read what was said to you by God, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He’s not God of the dead, but of the living.”

     33 And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. {“Brothers and sisters, we don’t want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so you don’t grieve..” 1Thes.4:13.}

03-03 - Ro-15 Mt-17

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 15:14-21  Matthew 17:1-13

            ☀️ Romans 15:14-21

14 - I myself (Paul) am satisfied about you, my brethren, that you yourselves are full of goodness and knowledge, so you’re able to instruct one another. 15 But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given to me by God, 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the nations in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles (nations) may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit {Presence of God with}.

     17 In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God. 18 For I’m determined to speak of nothing but what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the nations to obedience [hupakoé - attentive hearing and hearkening, from akoúō - to hear, and hypó - beneath, so the literal - submission to what is heard, compliance] in word and deed. 19 And by the power of the Spirit of God, by the power of signs and wonders, so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ.

     20 And so I make it my ambition to proclaim the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, the foundation already laid, 21 but as it’s written, “Those who have never been told of him will see. And those who have never heard will understand.” {Prophecy telescopes.. root word of telescope is greek tel, translated as “end” but more closely means “end-aim”. Prophecy telescopes from smaller scope to full scope at the “end-aim”. Like gospel to Israel scope.. to nations, wider scope.. ..and on GWT Judgment/discernment/review/closure for all ‘Day’..wider/full scope.}

            🌙 Matthew 17:1-13

1 - Six days later {after six millennial days, imperfection/being strayed/this unavoidable contrast, will have run its course!} (Six days later) Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain with himself alone [Mt.16:27, 24:31, 25:1-13, Zech.14:4]. 2 And he was transfigured before them, his face was shining as radiant as the sun, and his clothes became white like pure radiant light. 3 And look! There with them was Moses and Elijah, talking with him. {I think from a dimension called the future. Because Jesus said “no one has ascended into heaven” Jn.3:13.}

     4 And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord! It’s good we’re here! Look! I’ll make three tents! One for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah!” {Tabernacles.. “Behold! I make all new, God will now tabernacle/tent with mankind” Rev.21:5,3. Tabernacle, tent, triangle, three tents, three present.. triangle, Father, Son onLy straight out from God one, so close both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate and “seal” creation and humanity - When aLL is said and done, after the “8th day”/millennium - “God will now tabernacle/tent/dwell with mankind”. See Rev.20, but the chapter’s like describing the crests of waves, and not much of the in between.}

     5 Peter was still speaking when a shining cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen {always} to him.”

     6 When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified! 7 But Jesus came, touched them, and said, “Rise, and have - no - fear.” 8 And when they looked up, they saw only Jesus {the Kingdom}. 9 And as they were coming back down from the mountain, Jesus said, “Don’t tell anyone the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.”

     10 And the disciples asked him, “Why do the scribes say Elijah must come first?” 11 He answered, “Elijah indeed comes, and restores all things. 12 I say however to you that Elijah already is come, and they didn’t know him, but did to him as they pleased. And so also shall the Son of Man suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that he was speaking of John the Baptist. {The Elijah of their day.}

02-25 - Ro-13 Jn-6

N.T.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 13:1-8  John 6:41-51

           ☀️ Romans 13:1-8

{Dear (Roman) brothers and sisters, although pagan concepts, we all renounce, are woven into the civil order} 1 - Let every person be subject to the authorities, not being disorderly and rebellious. For order is from God. 2 So whoever resists order resists what God decrees, and the disorderly bring troubles upon theirselves. 3 Civil authority isn’t meant to be a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of authority? Then do what is good, and you’ll receive approval, 4 for the authority is a servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he doesn’t police in vain but is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

     5 Therefore we must subject ourself, not only to avoid God's wrath {suffer consequences} but also for the sake of conscience. 6 We pay taxes for the same reason, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 {What I mean is} Pay to all what is owed to them, taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

     8 Fulfill so as to owe no one anything! Except to love one aother, for those who love their fellow person has fulfilled the law.

            🌙 John 6:41-51

41 - Jesus’ townspeople were grumbling to one another about him, because he said, “I’m the bread come down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Isn’t this Jesus! The son of Joseph? Whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I’ve come down from heaven’?!” 43 Jesus said, “Don’t murmur [gogguzó - grumble, murmur, mutter, whisper, complain] among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them. And I will raise them up on the last day.

     45 As it says in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ And everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from Him. He has seen the Father. 47 Truly, I tell you whoever believes has enduring [aionios, aionion - agelasting, of an age] life. {Life of the age.. in the case of the “putting on immortality” of 1 Cor.15:53, and later Rev.21:5, it’s Life of/pertaining to, the age of forever?}

     48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 But this is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it [be nourished by it] and not die [apothnéskó - die, perish].

     51 I am the living bread come down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, they will live into [eis - into, in, unto, to, upon, towards, for, among] the aion. And the bread and sacrifice I give is for the life of the world [kosmos - world, universe, order, display].

01-19 - Ro-2 Mt-6

🗝️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 2:17-29  Matthew 6:1-21 and Rev. 14:14-20 separately

            ☀️ Romans 2:17-29

{The leaders plotted and contrived and had Jesus executed. Power corrupts? Draws the disingenuous? So power gets highjacked?}

17 - If you call yourself a Hebrew {teacher} and rely on your standing, and boast in God, 18 and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you’re instructed in what’s written, 19 and if you’re sure you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth, 21 - you then - who teach others, do you learn as well? While you preach against stealing - do you steal? 22 One must not commit adultery - do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols - do you rob temples? {Fraud programs for orphans and widows, for the handicapped and those after misfortunes, etc.} 23 If your boast is in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? {Today, our boast is in “the way” - do we bear bad fruit by not actually following it?} 24 For, as it’s written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the nations because of you!”

    25 For {example} circumcision [part of the Old Covenant/Agreement of following closely the society preservative 10 Laws of Moses] indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision is the same as no circumcision. {The present state of self first and foremost, is being removed (circumcised) from off of humanity by this one&done, unavoidable contrast. This imperfection/entropy, the dis-ease as part of the cure and immunity will be fully completed - “sealed” - during the “8th day”/millennium, second half of, see Rev.20.}

     26 So, if one who is uncircumcised keeps the requirements of the law - will not their uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? 27 Then the one who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law, will condemn you who have the written code, and circumcision, but you break the law! 28 For no one is a Hebrew only outwardly, nor is the circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Hebrew is one inwardly. And circumcision is of the heart. And is by the Spirit{/Presence of God} - not, by the law {earned}. For the praise is not from man. But from God.

            🌙 Matthew 6:1-21

(Jesus continues his teaching of the people at the side of the hill.) 1 - “Be careful not to do your kindnesses in front of others to be seen by them, for then you won’t be rewarded {blessed} by your Father in heaven. {And then we’re not really being kind but are trying to make ourself look good? For whatever reason.} 2 If you help someone or give to someone in need, don’t sound a trumpet before you! As the hypocrites do in the meeting places and in the streets, so they’ll be praised by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward. 3 So if you give to someone in need, or give to charity, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Then your giving will be in secret and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. 5 Likewise when you pray. Don’t be like the hypocrites. For they like to stand and pray in the meetings and at the street corners, so others will see them praying. Truly, they’ve received their reward. 6 So when you pray, go to your room and shut the door and pray to your Father, and your Father, who’s hidden, and sees the hidden, will reward you.

     7 And when you pray, don’t repeat empty words, thinking you’ll be heard for your many {practiced} words. 8 Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray from your heart like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, great is your name! [Onoma - name, reputation, cause]. 10 May your kingdom come! And your will be done, upon earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts and failings, as we forgive those of others. 13 And let us not be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’

     14 For if you forgive others their trespasses {including errors of view (politics) or doctrine (religion) etc?} your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you don’t forgive others {hold grudge in our heart? against others? ☠️ World and “the accuser” always working diligently to divide, cause wars, horrors, sufferings..} then neither will your Father forgive you.

     16 When you fast, don’t put on a long face like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so their fasting will be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they’ve received their reward. 17 But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face, 18 so your fasting won’t be seen by others, but by your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

     19 Don’t lay up for yourselves earthly treasure, where moth and rust destroys, and where thieves can break in and steal. 20 But lay up for yourselves eternal treasure, which neither moth nor rust destroys and thieves cannot break into and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, that’s where your heart is.”
