10-23 - 1 Cor 1 19-25 Luke 21 16-19

8TH ‘DAY’ CU Journal, New Testament In A Year, Verses paraphrased due to ©‘s [ref] {thots}

            ༺☀️༻ 1 Corinthians 1:19-25

19 - Is it not written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise? I will frustrate the intelligence [syneton - (the) mental putting together] of the intelligent.” 20 Where are the wise? Where the scribes? Where the debaters of the age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of the world?!

      21 And since God knew the world wouldn’t know him through human insight, he was pleased through the foolishness [mΓ³ria - absurdity, foolishness, from moros, folly] of the good news proclamation to save those believing.

     22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified! {Strong enough to appease the human conscience.} It’s foolishness to the nations, and a stumbling block to Jews (Hebrews) 24 but to those who are called whether Jew or Greek, Christ is the very power and wisdom of God!

    25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man and the weakness [asthenΓ©s - frailty, weakness] of God is stronger than man. {Not to mention a vast universe perfectly balanced.. A spoken big bang, into the universe and motion as is.. “the earth hanging upon nothing” Job 26:7. Way more capable than an AI. And thankfully has nothing to do with human consensus.}

            ༺☾𖀓༻ LUKE 21:16-19

16 - (Jesus to his discuples) “You will be betrayed [paradidΓ³mi - handed over, betrayed, abandoned] even by parents, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. And some of you will be put to death.”

     17 “You will be hated because of my name [onoma - name, authority, cause]. 18 But not one hair of your head will perish. 19 Keep your soul in confident patience and endurance.”

Jesus “will draw all” Jn.12:32.
