Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Mark 11:27-33

27 - And they went again into Jerusalem. And as Jesus was walking in the temple, the chief priests, scribes and elders (leaders, authorities) came to him, 28 and they asked him, “By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do them?” [He was teaching the people and he had kicked out those buying and selling in the temple yard and court. And had overturned their tables.] 29 Jesus answered, “I will ask you a question, and if you can answer it, I’ll tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven or was it from man?”31 And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he’ll say, ‘Why then didn’t you believe him?’ 32 But can we say, ‘From man’?” For they were afraid of the people, who all held that John was a prophet. 33 So they answered, “We don’t know.” And Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

                ~ Galatians 3:22-29 ~

22 - The Scripture has imprisoned all under sin, so the promise by faith in Jesus might be given to those who believe.

23 Before faith came, we were under the law, held in custody (under lock and key) until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian (and tutor) [paidagΓ³gos - a trainer, tutor] until Christ came. This is so we might be justified by faith. 25 And now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus all are sons and daughters of God, through faith. 27 And when you were baptized, it was a putting on of Christ, like putting on new clothing. 28 And therefor there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female. Instead you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, and you are heirs according to PROMISE.

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Mark 11:20-26

20 - In the morning when they went back by the fig tree that Jesus had cursed, they saw it had withered away right down to its roots. 21 And Peter remembering said, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.” 22 And Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For truly, I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in their heart, but believes what they say will come to pass, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I say, whatever you ask in prayer, believe you receive it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them, so your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses [paraptΓ³ma - a false step, trespass, from parapiptΓ³ - to fall in, into or away, to fail; a lapse (deviation) from the truth, an error, slip up, wrong doing that can be (relatively) unconscious/non-deliberate].”

                ~ Galatians 3:16-21 ~

16 - The promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. God didn’t say to Abraham, “And to your offsprings,” as though referring to many, but - “to your offspring” - referring to one. And that one, is Christ. 17 This is what I mean - the law, which came 430 years later, doesn’t cancel a covenant/contract/agreement/guarantee, previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise. 18 For if the inheritance comes by the law, then it no longer comes by promise. But God gave it to Abraham by a promise [epaggelia - a summons, promise, from epΓ - upon, appropriate, and aggellō - announce – a promise which literally announces what is fitting, epaggelΓa is a legal term that refers to an officially sanctioned promise].

19 Why then the law? It was added because of transgression [parabasis - a going aside, from parΓ‘ - contrary, and bainō - go – properly, an overstepping, a deliberate going over the line and transgression]. The law was added, until the offspring should come to whom, and about whom, the promise had been made. The law was put in place through angels, and by an mediator. (Moses.) 20 Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God didn’t use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham. (?He said it. HE will bring it to pass.)

21 Does the law then contradict the promises God has made? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that can impart life, then indeed, righteousness would come about from the law.

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 13:10-17

10 - Jesus was speaking in one of the Hebrew/Jewish meeting places on the Sabbath. 11 And he saw there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen long years. She was bent over and couldn’t straighten herself. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” 13 Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God. 14 But the leader/authority of the meeting place, became indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. So he said to the people, “There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, not on the Sabbath day!”

15 But Jesus said to him, “You faker! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water? 16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed on the Sabbath?” 17 As he said these things, all who were against him were put to shame, but the people were rejoicing at the glorious things that were being done by him.

                ~ 1 Thessalonians 3:1-18 ~

(Having been chased out of Thessalonica by authorities, eager to hear how the Thessalonian believers were doing since then..) 1 - When we (Paul, Silas, Timothy and others) could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left behind at Athens, 2 and sent Timothy, our brother and coworker in the gospel of Christ, to be sure you were established in your faith, 3 that no one was deterred by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this. 4 For when we were with you, we kept telling you beforehand that we were to suffer affliction, just as it has come to pass, and just as you know. 5 For this reason, when I could wait no longer, I sent to learn about your faith, for fear that somehow the tempter had tempted you and our labor would be in vain.

6 But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, as we long to see you— 7 for this reason, brethren (brothers and sisters) in all our distress and affliction, we have been comforted about your faith. 8 For now we are gifted, if you are standing fast in the Lord. 9 For what thanksgiving can we return to God, for all the joy that we feel about you before our God? 10 And as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply whatever is lacking in your faith [pistis - faith, belief, trust, confidence, persuasion, fidelity, faithfulness].

11 Now we pray our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, will direct our way to you. 12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you. (On the right path/the way? Love will be increasing in the soul/heart/psyche. Today seems to beca day of division, but it should be superficial and not in the heart.) 13 So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all the holy ones.

GospeL Verses ~ John 12:9-19

9 - When a large crowd learned that Jesus was there (at the home of Lazarus, Mary and Martha) they came to see him and also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10-11 Many had heard the story and were going away from following and trying to stay in favor with the leaders, and were instead following Jesus. So the leaders [chief priests] made plans to put Lazarus to death as well.

12 The next day the people heard Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. 13 So they took branches of palm trees and they went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD, hosanna! King of Israel!” 14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it was written, 15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion! Behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!” [Zech.9:9]

16 His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified (after his resurrection) they remembered the things written about him that had occurred. 17 Many had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, and they continued to tell about it. 18 This is why the crowd went out to meet him. (!A portrayal of His second coming? Zech.14:4, Acts 1:9; Mt. Zion is spiritual ..”seated in heavenly places” - it’s important to understand what’s metaphor and what’s literal, in order to understand God’s message to us. And that message is complete. Supplies all we need. And is more wonderful than any of us realize?) 19 The Pharisees said to one another, “You see what is happening? The world is going after him..”

                  ~ Philippians 2:12-16 ~

12 - Therefore, my beloved, as you have always heeded the message, not only when I’m there but now when I’m not, continue earnestly for the target, 13 for it’s God who works in you! (Why squander it!) This is his delightful design he is energizing. [“For God is the (one) working in you both to will and to work according to (His) good pleasure” - a more traditional, literal interpretation.]

14 Do all things without complaining and grumbling, or quarreling. 15 So that you will shine as innocent and blameless lights in the midst of a crooked and twisted world, 16 all while holding fast to the word of Life, so that in the day of Jesus our Lord, I may be happy knowing I did not run nor labor in vain.

GospeL Verses ~ John 9:1-13

1 - As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It wasn’t that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed. (The overall truth of why this all important contrast - straying - has been allowed to occur and run its course, besides creation as a mere ant farm is not good enough.) 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day for night is coming, when no one can work.” (A ‘micro’ fulfillment, later the macro towards the peak of history’s culmination.) 5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with his saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud 7 and told him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” which means Sent. So he went and washed and came back seeing. (Why the elaborate doing here? For the man to believe and thus receive. Mud, try to think earthly? Down to earth? No one ascends but Jesus. Serving called reigning/doing His works during the Lord’s long second advent, is all upon earth. No floaty/ghostly existence at all.)

8 The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, “Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some said, “It is him.” Others said, “No, but he looks like him.” And He kept saying, “I am the man.” 10 So they said to him, “Then how were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, “The man called Jesus made mud and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed and then I could see.” 12 They said, “Where is he?” He said, “I don’t know.” 13 They brought to the Pharisees this man who had previously been blind.

                  ~ Ephesians 1:1-10 ~

1 - From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints (believers) who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Jesus: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, who has blessed us in Jesus, with every spiritual blessing of the heavenly realm, 4 even as he chose us to be in him (during this lifetime) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of hiS will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace! With which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he has lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight (being 100% unfettered Genius of course) 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Jesus 10 as a plan - at the fullness of time (Rev.21:5) to unite all in him, the all in heaven and the all upon earth. [Translators changed “all” into “all things” in this verse three times, and also in Rev.21:5 - “BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL NEW!” This is usually true with all the alls. And in Jn.1:3 changed “not one came into existence except through him” to “not one thing”.] (Which, these are also true! As Rev.21:5 is said at the total, universal, fiery ReGenesis, which is the death of death, the second death. The first death being the one “in Adam” - all death inherited from Adam, see 1Cor.15:22 (or 22-24,28 w/ Mt.13:33 key word 3.)
