Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 13:10-17
10 - Jesus was speaking in one of the Hebrew/Jewish meeting places on the Sabbath. 11 And he saw there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen long years. She was bent over and couldn’t straighten herself. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” 13 Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God. 14 But the leader/authority of the meeting place, became indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. So he said to the people, “There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, not on the Sabbath day!”
15 But Jesus said to him, “You faker! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water? 16 And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed on the Sabbath?” 17 As he said these things, all who were against him were put to shame, but the people were rejoicing at the glorious things that were being done by him.

~ 1 Thessalonians 3:1-18 ~
(Having been chased out of Thessalonica by authorities, eager to hear how the Thessalonian believers were doing since then..) 1 - When we (Paul, Silas, Timothy and others) could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left behind at Athens, 2 and sent Timothy, our brother and coworker in the gospel of Christ, to be sure you were established in your faith, 3 that no one was deterred by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this. 4 For when we were with you, we kept telling you beforehand that we were to suffer affliction, just as it has come to pass, and just as you know. 5 For this reason, when I could wait no longer, I sent to learn about your faith, for fear that somehow the tempter had tempted you and our labor would be in vain.
6 But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love and reported that you always remember us kindly and long to see us, as we long to see you— 7 for this reason, brethren (brothers and sisters) in all our distress and affliction, we have been comforted about your faith. 8 For now we are gifted, if you are standing fast in the Lord. 9 For what thanksgiving can we return to God, for all the joy that we feel about you before our God? 10 And as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply whatever is lacking in your faith [pistis - faith, belief, trust, confidence, persuasion, fidelity, faithfulness].
11 Now we pray our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, will direct our way to you. 12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you. (On the right path/the way? Love will be increasing in the soul/heart/psyche. Today seems to beca day of division, but it should be superficial and not in the heart.) 13 So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all the holy ones.
