GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 20:1-16

1 - “Listen,” Jesus said, “the kingdom is like a master/mister of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers to work in his vineyard. 2 After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into the vineyard. 3 Then going out about the third hour he saw some others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and he said to them, ‘You go into my vineyard too, and I’ll pay you what is right.’ 5 So they went. And the same again, going out at about the sixth hour and then again at the ninth hour. 6 And then even at the eleventh hour he went out and found others and said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ 7 They answered, ‘Because no one’s hired us.’ And he said, ‘Go into my vineyard and work.’

8 When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call in the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’ 9 And when those hired at the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. 10 And when those who were hired first came, they thought they would receive more, but each of them also received a denarius. 11 And on receiving it they grumbled at the master of the house, 12 saying, ‘These last worked only one hour! And you’ve paid them the same as us, who bore the burden and the heat of the day!’ 13 But the owner said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take now your pay and go. If I choose to give to this last as I do to you, 15 am I not allowed to do what I choose with my own wealth? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’ 16 So the last will be first, and the first last.” (Logically, when aLL is said and done, all will be equal! Except the Lord of course, “forever firstborn and preeminent. “God iS Love” 1Jn.4:8.)

From New Testament Letters

                  ~ Colossians 1:9-15 ~

9 - And so, from the day we (Paul and fellow “good news” travelers) heard (of the Colossian believer’s faith and love) we have kept you in our prayers. Asking that you may be filled with all the knowledge of his will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk worthily [aksíōs - an adverb – worthily, viewed as becoming, suitable because fitting, having worth that - matches - actual value, the root of the english term axis] of the Lord, fully pleasing [areskia - a desire to please, pleasing, willing service] to him, bringing forth fruit in every good purpose and work and ever increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 Being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, with steady endurance and patience with joy. 12 Always giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the light of the inheritance. 13 He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transplanted us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins [hamartia - (of) missing the mark.. (of all that is notGood)]. (In actions, thoughts, and being.)

15 The Son is the image and perfect reflection of the invisible God, and the firstborn [prōtótokos - from prṓtos - first, pre-eminent, and tíktō - bring forth – properly, first in time] of all creation [ktisis - creation, the verb/action or noun/what is created].
