GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 16:13-20
13 - When Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who are the people saying the Son of Man is?” 14 They answered, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and some Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” 15 He said, “And who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter said, “You are the Christ! The Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus said to him, “You are blessed, Simon Bar-Jonah! For no person has revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven has. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock (of being told by God) will I build my church! And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give to you (to such, to those God causes to follow) the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and (it shall come to pass that) whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you may loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he told the disciples, “Tell no one, I am the Christ”.

~ Romans 15:1-7 ~
1 - We who are strong in faith have an obligation to bear with the weaknesses of those weaker in faith, and not to please ourselves. 2 Instead let each of us please our neighbor for theiR good. To build up and encourage. 3 For Christ did not please himself! But as it’s written, “The insults/trespassing of those who insulted you fell upon me.” 4 For whatever was written in former days was all (pas) written for our instruction, that through the endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope [elpis - expectation, hope]. (The literal - “the expectation have”.) [All of what is written is for our instruction so-that through the steadfastness and encouragement of the scriptures we will have the (sure and strong) expectation.] 5 Indeed may the God of endurance [hupomonΓ© - endurance, steadfastness, patient waiting] and encouragement give to you, to be of one mind with one another, as it is in Christ Jesus - 6 that with one voice we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord. 7 Therefore be welcoming toward one another, even as Christ has welcomed us, for all is for the glorification of God.
