06-08 - From Heb-1 Lk-24

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased  [ ] references { } thots

Hebrews 1:1-4  Luke 24:36-48

            ☀️ A.M. Hebrews 1:1-4

1 - Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke by the prophets. 2 But in these days he’s spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all. [Pas - all, every, the whole.] Through whom also, he created the ages [aions]. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory, the exact representation of His being, and sustaining all things by the power of the word [rhรฉma - word, saying, utterance, matters]. {Thy word is Truth, Jn.17:17. Truth is the only enduring pattern.}

     Through himself he provided purification for sins. {Purifying the conscience, so we are free to be reconciled/friends with God, and fully his, in heart and mind.} He then sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high [hupsรฉlos - high, lofty, exalted] 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

            ๐ŸŒ™ P.M. Luke 24:36-48

36 - They were still talking about these things (how Peter saw him, and how the two while on their way to Emmaus saw and spoke with him) when Jesus himself stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.”

     37 But they were startled. And frightened, and thought they were seeing a ghost.

     38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why is there doubt in your hearts? 39 See my hands and feet, that it’s I myself. Touch me, and see.

     For a ghost doesn’t have flesh and bones - as you see, I have.”

     40 And he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still could hardly believe for joy and were marveling, he said, “Have you anything to eat?” 42 So they gave him a broiled fish, 43 and he ate it.

     44 Then he said, “These are my words I spoke to you while I was still with you - that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Psalms, and written by the Prophets is to be fulfilled.”

     45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scripture, 46 and he said, “And so it’s written - that Messiah/the Christ would suffer, and on the third day would rise from the dead [nekros - dead, deceased]. 47 And that repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name [onoma - name, authority, cause] to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. 48 And you’re witnesses of these things.”

03-10 - Col-1 Mt-20

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Colossians 1:9-15  Matthew 20:1-16

            ☀️ Colossians 1:9-15

9 - And so, from the first day we heard, we’ve not stopped praying for you! Asking that you be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 And to walk worthily in the Lord, fully pleasing to him, and fruitful in every good work, while {forever} increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 And strengthened with all his glorious might and power, for endurance and patience, with joy. {During this unavoidable contrast gotten over with first, a ‘quick’ one&done for all.}

     12 Giving thanks to the Father, the one having qualified you [hikanoรณ - made you sufficient, qualified, enabled you] to share in the light and radiant inheritance of the saints [hagios - holy, sacred, set apart] {but “not yet perfected” Heb.11:40}. 13 For he has delivered us from the domain of darkness! He has transplanted us into the kingdom of his beloved Son.

     14 It is in the Son [Jesus] that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins [hamartia - missing the mark]. 15 He is the firstborn of all creation, and the image [eikรณn - image, likeness, representation, replication] of the invisible God. Amen.

     [“Eikแน“n assumes a prototype, of which it not merely resembles, but from which it is drawn (R. Trench) (eikแน“n) then is more than a ‘shadow’ rather it’s a replication (F. F. Bruce)” - from biblehub dot com, interlinear link to the original word.] {The only straight out from God one. Father and Son are so close that both administer God’s Spirit/Presence, the same as will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity, Rev.21:3,5, Eph.1:10, 1Cor.15:22,28.}

            ๐ŸŒ™ Matthew 20:1-16

1 - “For the kingdom of heaven” Jesus said, “is like a master of a house going out early in the morning to hire laborers to work in his vineyard. 2 And after agreeing with the workers for a denarius a day, he sends them out into the field.

     3 Then later, around the third hour he sees others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 so he tells them, ‘Go and work in the vineyard too, and I’ll pay you what’s fair.’ 5 So they go.

     And then again later, at about the sixth hour, and also the ninth hour, he does the same. 6 And even at the eleventh hour he goes out and finds others standing idle. And says to them, ‘Why are you standing here idle all day?’ 7 And they answer, ‘Because no one has hired us!’ So he tells them, as well, to go and work in the vineyard.

     8 And when evening comes, the owner of the vineyard says to the foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’ 9 And when those hired at about the eleventh hour come, each of them receive a denarius. 10 Now when those who were hired first come, they think they will receive more. But each of them receive a denarius as well. 11 And on receiving it they grumble at the master of the house, 12 and they say, ‘These last worked only one hour! And you’ve  paid them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day, and the scorching heat!’

     13 But he will answer them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take now what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last one as I’ve given to you. 15 Am I not allowed to do what I choose with my own money? Or do you despise my generosity?’ 16 So many who are last shall be first, and many who are first will be last.”

GospeL Verses ~ John 10:22-32

22 - It was the Feast of Dedication. [The temple was “desolated” by Antiochus, but not razed and ruined. It was repaired, renewed and dedicated by Judas Maccabee, written of in the “Apocrypha”, 2Ma 2:23, 10:6-8, 1Ma 4:52,58, and Josephus also wrote of it.]

     And it being winter, 23 Jesus was walking in Solomon’s porch of the temple. 24 So the leaders and some people gathered around him and said, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered, “I told you, and you don’t believe. The works I do in my Father's name bear witness of me. 26 But you don’t believe me because you’re not from among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them unfading life, and they will not perish, and no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to remove them out of the Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” 31 At that the leaders picked up stones again to stone him. 32 But Jesus said, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of them do you wish to stone me?” (Even a married couple are called “one”! And Jesus never hid the fact, but said “the Father is greater than I” Jn.14:28.)

                  ~ Ephesians 2:17-3:7

17 - And he (the Son) came and preached peace to you who were far off (gentiles/the nations) and peace to those who were near (Israel). 18 For through him we all have access in [en - in, on, at, by, with] one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens! But you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 which is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the foundation stone [cornerstone, main stone] 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a temple in (and of) the Lord. 22 In him also, you are being built together into a dwelling place for God by His Spirit. 3 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles (nonHebrews) — 2 assuming that you have heard of the administering of God's grace to you, that was given to me. 3 How the mystery was made known to me by revelation, which I have briefly written. 4 When you read this, you can understand my insight into the mystery which is Christ, 5 which was not made known to the children of men in other generations as it has now been revealed by His Spirit to his apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs. They are members of the same body. They are sharers of this promise - which is in Jesus - which is delivered through this gospel message. 7 And of this good news I was made a minister/administrator/steward according to the gift of God's grace, which was appointed to me by the working of his power.

        John 14:12-21

12 “Truly, truly” Jesus said, “of a truth, I tell you, the one believing in me, the works that I do, they shall do also. And greater than these even, for I am going to the Father. 13 And whatever you might ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father will be glorified in the Son.”

     {It’s SO good to know not one shall ever be ‘lost’. We know this because God “is Perfect” (Mt.5:48).This world is dragging people down. It’s burden is getting very heavy. Yes we all were lost ..Israel is the mini version.. “you wandered from Me” World is the macro version.  “I will call you back to myself..” The false castles are certainly bound to fall. But not one soul (living being) will be lost. Ultimately a ReGenesis.. I’m thinking a very large planet.. “The lion will eat straw like the ox.”}

     14 (14:14) “If you ask anything of me, in the name of me, I will do it. 15 If you love me, you will follow my instructions. 16 And I will ask the Father and he will send you another helper (another aid?) [paraklรฉtos - called to one's aid, from parรก - "from close-beside" and kalรฉล - "make a call") – properly, a legal advocate who makes the right judgment call because close enough to the situation]. (God’s Spirit/Presence with us!) 17 The Spirit of Truth which the world is not able to receive because it doesn’t see nor know him. But you know him, for he abides with you and will be in you, 18 (and) is coming to you. For you will not be left as orphans. 19 (When) in yet a little while the world will no longer see me, but you shall see me! And because I live, you also will live! 20 In that day you will know that I am in my father, and you in me, and I in you. (๐Ÿค” There’s the dispute - is the scripture meant to speak to all of us? Or only the audience at the time? “In that day” is a strange phrase to use when what you’re referring to is just a few days away. “In that day” is the Father’s prophecy introduction phrase used by the prophets.) 21 Whoever has my instructions and keeps them, are the ones who love me. And whoever loves me, will be loved by the Father. And I also will love them, and will reveal myself to them.

    ~ 1 Corinthians 9:1-11 ~

(Answers to some accusers.) 1 - Am I (Paul, former Pharisee) not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are not you the result of my work in the Lord? 2 Even if others may think I’m not an apostle, surely I am to you? As you yourselves are evidence that I am the Lord’s apostle. 3 This is my defense to those cross examining me. 4 Have we no right to food and drink? 5 Don’t we have the right to bring our wife with us as the other apostles do?  And as the Lord’s brothers do, and Peter does? 6 Or is it Barnabas and I only who have to work to support ourselves? 7 Does a soldier have to pay his own expenses? What farmer plants a vineyard and but has no right to eat of its fruit? What shepherd cares for a flock of sheep but isn’t allowed to drink some of the milk? 8 Do I say this only from a human point of view? Or does the law say this as well? 9 For the law of Moses says, “Do not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating the grain as it works.” Was God only thinking about oxen when he said this? 10 But is he not also speaking to us and for our benefit? For whoever plows and threshes, surely should do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest. 11 We have sown very beneficial seed among you. Should we be criticized if you share with us some of its fruitful benefits?

What Is The (True) Character of God?

If God (the deity) is Life, the life force itself, and surely he is, for what else could be? "In the beginning, God.." Then when one reaps consequences of one's very own doings, it still could be said that God 'rewards' and 'punishes'. Yet it is no direct act of his..
- Hebrews 1:3 tells us that it's the character of Jesus, the Son, which is the "exact representation" of God the Father's character, "he is the radiance of his glory and the exact representation of his nature". Elsewhere it says he is "the exact likeness of God" (2 Cor 4:4) and "he is the image of the invisible God, and the firstborn of all creation" (Col 1:15).
- The theory of (and word) "hell" is a mistranslation which should more closely read "the grave". This mistranslation closes many minds to the message of the Bible (and understandingly so!) which message is the full triumph of good versus evil, or, that is to say, the full triumph of life over death. This one thing alone takes much of the shine from the glory of the message, what is called "the good news", which Jesus always called "the gospel of the Kingdom" (of paradise on Earth restored and unbreakable).
