03-01 - Ro-15 Mt-16

N.Testament & Prophecy Advanced CU Study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 15:1-7  Matthew 16:13-20

           ☀️ Romans 15:1-7

1 - We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the weakness [asthenรฉma - weakness, infirmity, doubt, hesitation] of the weaker. It’s not a matter of pleasing ones self.

2 But let each of us please our neighbor, for their good, to build them up. 3 For Christ didn’t please himself, but as it’s written, “The insults of those who insult you, fell upon me.” 4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction and guidance. The encouragement - of the Scriptures - {see note below, translation errors due to partial dis-belief?} is that we might have hope [elpis - (hope) expectation, trust, confidence]. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in union with Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you! For the cause of promoting the glory (glorious renown) of God.

List of Some Translation Errors ~~ Added to God’s riddles/hiding things in plain sight, has made things difficult.

~~ Changed “all” whenever possible, to “all things” yes, in Rev.21:5. Also Eph.1:10, Jn.13:3, and more. In 1Cor.15:27, five times! And so repeating what 5 times? But not in verse 28, because “that God be all things in all things” just doesn’t quite get it.. Nor in 2Tim.3:16, for example “all scripture for training”.

~~ Often rendered not into never

and aion/eon into forever. And aionion/eonian as eternal instead of “of an age” and pertaining to an age or space of time.

~~ Translating hamartia - missing the mark,

as “sin” (trespass) misses the mark a little, as hamartia means - missing the mark. (Imperfect ..Whereas, God is Life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48, a conundrum for imperfect/missing the mark. “The wage/effect/result of missing the mark” is..? But no option to stray in Eden, and creation would have to be an ant farm? So “God is savior of all” 1Tim.4:10. Being Life God suffers everything.)

~~ Of course five separate words were turned into ‘hell’, even pit when “dust of” is in the verse - Ps.30:9. The three mentions of lake of fire are at very large (actually huGe) fiery events. Not very understandable in 95 CE or thereabouts, Is.24:20/Rev.10:4 (Ps.91,46,23, Rev7:15-17)

            ๐ŸŒ™ Matthew 16:13-20

13 - As they were coming into the district of Caesarea Philippi, Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 And they answered, “Some say you’re John the Baptist, others say Elijah, or Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 And he said, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Peter answered, “You are the Christ!” {Christos - Anointed One, Messiah} “Son of the living God!” {Only straight out from the Father, so close both admininister His Spirit/Presence, same as will saturate and “seal” all creation and humanity.}

     17 “You are blessed, Simon (Peter) Bar-Jonah/Son of Jonah” Jesus said. “For no one has told you this. My Father in heaven has shown it to you. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock” {belief, knowing, Peter means rock} “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will noT prevail against it.” {Likely was speaking Aramaic, so gates of sheol “where there is no doing or knowing” (awareness) Eccles.9:5,10. “Oh death, where is thy sting!?” 1Cor.15:55}

19 “I will give to you {disciples/followers following} the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind upon earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose upon earth shall be loosed in heaven.” {The mature state, when God’s Spirit/Presence flows cleanly through us without our various impediments, of corners and shadows? Thus flows fully outward with healing, repairing, able to make whole, according to God’s blueprint. That God is Life and “is perfect” (Mt.5:48) means nothing imperfect can endure.} 20 Then he strictly charged them to tell no one that he was the Christ.

Hebrews 3 12-19

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ•Š️  reading & study  ๐Ÿ•Š️๐Ÿƒ

06/18 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

12 - Take care, brothers and sisters that there not be in any of you an evil [ponรฉros - evil, wicked, bad, malicious, harmful] unbelieving heart, which can lead you to falling away from the living God. 13 Instead encourage and exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none may be hardened by the misleading trickiness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed, we hold our original confidence, firm to the end. 15 As it’s said, “Today! - If you hear his voice, don’t harden your heart as in the rebellion.”

     16 For who were those who heard, and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt, led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned and fell in the wilderness? {Proof #2 after hands off pre-flood - proof imperfect can never work, along with just telling us.} 18 And to whom did he swear they would not {could not} enter his rest? But to those who were disobedient? {If we don’t follow “the way” we cannot reach the destination it is meant to lead to, until much later, and may miss serving called reigning during the Lord’s long 2nd advent, surely(?) full scope version of his so brief 1st one.} 19 So we see that they were unable to enter {or much later for others to translate properly? Like changing all to all things.. aion, root of eon into for ever ..and ever. And changed five, yes five words into reading ‘hell’ - ancient spiritual propaganda myth and enchantment} because of disbelief. {But is it surprising God’s Truth sounds too Good to be true? And note: the 3 mentions of lake of FIRE are at huGe, fieRy —> events.}

Revelation 2 1-7

 BooK of Revelation

                a paraphrased study

1 -  “To the angel of [en - in, on, at, by, with] the church in Ephesus write - ‘The words of he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, and who walks among the seven golden lampstands/menorahs. 2 I know your hard work, your patient endurance, and how you can’t bear with those who do evil, but have tested those who call theirselves apostles but are not. And you found them to be false. 3 You have had perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and haven’t grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. 5 Try to remember what it was like at the beginning {of your adventure of believing/knowing}. And return to the love and enthusiasm you felt. If not I will have to come and remove your lampstand (menorah/church) out of its place, unless you repent/change course. 6 Yet this you have, you hate [miseo - hate, detest, love less] the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Nicolaitans mAy have began as a following of a christian in error, and their works/things they did and believed were scandalous and corrupt.)

7 Whoever has an ear ๐ŸŒฝ let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Plural.) To the one who is victorious [nikaรณ - conquers, prevails, from nรญkฤ“ - victory, properly - conquers, overcomes, carries off the victory, comes off victorious] I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’”

..How do we come off victorious? Bread and wine -> communion -> God’s Spirit/Presence, and Truth, 1Cor.3:16 & 2Tim.3:16.

Important NOTE -  It helps to understand the scripture translation errors ..due to partial dis-belief?

I made a short, partial list..

Changed “all” whenever possible, to “all things” [[ Rev.21:5, Eph.1:10, Jn.13:3, 1Cor.15:27, five times! And so repeating what 5 times?!  ..And more. But not 2Tim.3:16 or 1Cor.15:28, for example.]]

Often rendered not, into never. And aion/eon into forever.

Translating hamartia - missing the mark, into “sin” (trespass) misses the mark a little. (God is Life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48, a conundrum for imperfect/missing the mark (entropy). But! No option to stray in Eden, and creation would have to be an ant farm?)

Of course five separate words were turned into ‘hell’, even pit when “dust of” is in the verse & Ps.30:9. The three mentions of lake of fire are at very large, fiery events. Not very understandable in 95 CE or thereabouts, Is.24:20, Rev.10:4 (Ps.91,46,23, Rev7:15-17)

WeeKly BooK oF Revelation 19 17-21

                 a paraphrased study

17 - Then I saw an angel standing in-the-sun.* (The sun is thermonuclear. First mention of a lake of fire seems to accompany the Armageddon battle [go figure! Rev.16:13-16] in the parable, the gathering of the still tares/wild weeds to a bonfire, Mt.13:30. ๐Ÿ—️We don’t gather weeds out of our garden and cast them into a never ending pit of fire labeled ‘hell’.) And with a loud voice he called to all the birds of midheaven (the high flying predator birds as opposed to the little low flying birds) “Come. And gather for the great supper of God! 18 To eat the flesh of kings (“he has thrown kings off their thrones” from Mary’s magnificat) the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men (who even “sold the lives and bodies of persons”? And war profiteers?) the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.” (See verse 17, the sun.) [And Jesus said he “will draw all” (Jn.12:32) and - “All those in the tombs/graves will hear God’s voice and will come forth” (from the graves/tombs) “some into the resurrection of life (into THE millennium). And some into the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting correction [“kolasin aionion” oR “eonian correction” Mt.25:46].

19 And I (John) saw the (many headed geopolitical huge) beast and the kings of the earth, along with their armies. And they were gathered to make war against he who was sitting on the (white) horse and his army [Ps.2]. 20 And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet (both institutions) who in its presence/before had done the signs/miracles (modern wonders) by which he deceived those who had received the (lauded as an enhancement?) mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image [eikรณn - an image, statue, representation, from eรญkล - be like") – properly, mirror-like representation, referring to what is very close in resemblance, like a high-definition projection๐Ÿ˜ฎ]. These two were thrown alive (still, active, at the Lord’s return) into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. (See verse 17, the sun.) 21 And the rest were slain by the sWord that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh. [“Thy (s)Word is Truth” Jn.17:17.]

21 At that same time, Jesus felt the joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, and he said, My Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I am grateful that you hid all this from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.

22 My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” 23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say?” (To Israel, pre-crucifixion of Christ.) “How do you read it?” 27 The man answered, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” [Plรฉsion - near, neighboring, description includes “any other person, thy fellow person, thy neighbor”.] 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus said. “Do this and you will live.”

3 We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. 4 It takes strong winds to move a large sailing ship, but the captain uses only a small rudder to make it go in any direction. 5 So also the tongue is a small thing, yet it boasts of great things! And consider how small a spark can set a great forest on fire! 6 And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting the entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, being itself set on fire by ‘hell’ [gehenna] itself. (By the ‘hell’ of deep misery. And can set ones day, or life, on fire.)

The Importance of Hell

HeLL is very important! Let me tell you why. Jude verse seven.

Because it’s cause and effect. Reaching forth your hand and plucking the fruit from the forbidden tree results in the universe imploding in an atom splitting inferno (Rev.21:1, 2Pet.3:12-13). Lake of fire is event(s) not a ‘place’, definitely not never ending. Moral of the story: It’s futile and an abyss to stray aka become imperfect. So just how do you have an intact paradise/perfection, and create other beings?๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍♀️

Two options? Total Ant Farm, or Total Herd Immunity..

‘Parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and the worm that does noT quit.

For nerdy nerds: Rev.7:1,3,9,4 (6:12-17 ๐Ÿ—️ but blended 1st with last, 13:13 being the 1st by an entity/office enabled by the modern false prophet -> no more $ity oF Babble).

          Mark 2:13-22

(“Look!” some are saying, “Jesus called sinners! It’s all good! No one need repent.. We just need to find our true identity. The kingdom is in you. It’s all about moi.” - Did I hit all the bases? I won’t mention prophecy understanding right now.. In the words of John Wayne.. “the heck I won’t!” paraphrased, lol. “Prophecy?” some say, “It’s all said and done! We’re all saved. There is nothing needed on our part!” You see there’s Truth aNd error [always] weaved together. Like great tapestries.. When you separate the true threads, the rest of it falls apart.

Be careful who you listen to. Take everything with a grain of salt. Even our own interpretations. What can we measure all things to? Truth is an iron measure. We can “make our calling and election sure”. When we read a translation that just doesn’t quite ring true to us.. Toss out the book? Contradict it and run it down to others? (WhAt door is it in the parable of the ten bridesmaids? That half of them arrive late to? Mt.25:1-13.)

They say the human brain is the best computer ever. Except for the God Brain! The highest of intelligence. Pure unlimited Genius. Which we are little mirrors of. We have to include in our studies language tools. Those big reference books are now tools online at our fingertips. Like biblehub dot com’s interlinear (“int”). And! We need logic. ..The root word of logic is logos - “reasoning expressed in words”. And yes, in Jesus. The “first/proto of all creation”. The prototype. And we have brains equipped for this Truth Quest.

Today’s verses are Mark’s account of the calling of Matthew (Levi in the Hebrew) who was a tax collector. And so the phrase from the Pharisees “why does He eat with sinners and tax collectors?” They collected taxes for Rome! Israel’s occupier. (Do you think the spirit and thirst for world domination has been weeded out of mankind? Imagine if yesterday’s Rome would have had modern capabilities and technology. No, Rome is not today’s huge, many headed geopolitical entity which comes from the sea of humanity and will rule (today’s world) and go beastly. Rome was yesteryear’s manifestation. It was, wasn’t, then was again - from Roman Empire to Holy Roman Empire. But it’s a new “was, expired.. was again”. And  Rome is also not today’s  $ity on seven hills/continents. Though it likely is part of both, beast and $ity Babble, like everything else. Both prophecy and the Kingdom progress like widening ripples of a pond.

“Why” Jesus answered, “do I eat with sinners and tax collectors? It’s not the healthy and whole who need a doctor! I didn’t come to call the righteous.” Why call ‘the righteous’ who think they are good enough for God’s perfection? Are they likely to hear? Not yet. So he calls those who are not well. Who need healing. Who need setting straight. This is the epitome of ‘self’ improvement. God is the potter, we are the clay. Jesus is the prototype.

Jesus goes on to answer their other question - about fasting. You can’t put new wine (the transforming Spirit/Presence of God) into an old wineskin. When the wine swells (up into sweet, sweet joy) an old worn and stretched out wineskin will burst! Losing the wine and the skin. New wine needs a new, fresh wineskin! Ye must be born again! Jesus died to convince us and prove to us, we are forgiven, we can, and are supposed to “DRAW NEAR in full confidence and expectation” [elpis - expectation - usually translated hope, you see the subtle yet huge difference?] James, a natural brother of Jesus who became a solid believer and leader,  wrote “Submit yourselves to God ..Come near to God! And he will come near to you! Wash your hands, you sinners! And purify your hearts, you double-minded! Grieve, mourn, and weep! Turn your laughter to mourning, and your joy to gloom! Humble yourselves to the Lord, and he will lift you up [hypsรณล - from hรฝpsos - height – properly, raise high elevate, exalt!] ..“But ..no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just fine,’ they say.”

23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope [elpis - expectation] we affirm, for he who promises is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some (me). But encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left (so don’t teach people that! Our message is “know the Lord”. HE can do the rest/“carry the work to completion” if not paused by ‘teachers’ influence!? In SO many possible ways. To ignore the “missing the mark” - hamartia, translated sin, condition, is to leave the imperfect psyche still in need of repair and closure.) 27 Then all that is left is to wait in fear for the coming Judgment and the fierce fire which is about to consume those who oppose God! (Both in 70 A.D. end of an era/age, and the global fulfillment, end of these ages. But not ‘forever’ for Jesus “will draw all”. See the wheat and weeds parable. Are weeds gathered to a never ending ‘place’ called hell? Or do men gather them to a bonfire? Mt.13:30 and Rev.16:13-16. All three mentions of lake-of-fire are at large fiery events.. huge to us.. pond size to Him.) 28 Anyone who had set aside the law of Moses without mercy died on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 But it is much worse to dishonor God's Son and to disgrace the blood of the promise that made us holy. And it is just as bad to insult the Holy Spirit, who shows us such grace and mercy.

7 Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, are set forth as an example (of) suffering the judgment of eternal [Greek word aionion->eonian->of an age or of a duration] fire. (What Gomorrah and cities suffered is an example of ‘eternal’ hellfire. Seems to me that - event - was far from eternal. Surely lake of fire is earthly prophecy! Event not place. Definitely temporary. An important contrast - the Lord’s long second advent will be a wider pond ripple of his first so brief one ..with helpers serving, called reigning. For surely to do his works is to reign.)

8 Likewise, these dreaming ones (false teachers who “came in stealthily, perverting the grace of  God into license”) corrupt theirselves, setting aside authority [kyriรณtฤ“s - from kรฝrios - "lord" dominion] and honor/glory they greatly insult [blasphฤ“mรฉล - slander, to speak lightly or profanely of sacred things, speak against, use abusive language about]. 9 But the archangel Michael, even when he disputed with the devil over the body of Moses, did not presume to bring a slanderous charge against that one! But said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

10 But these people scoff at what they don’t understand, and like unthinking animals, they do whatever their instincts tell them, and so they bring about their own ruin. (And others if they are teaching/preaching, or on a public soap box.) 11 Woe to them, because they have gone in the way of Cain, and rushed for profit to the error of Balaam, and are perishing in the rebellion of Korah. [But Jesus said “all” are resurrected “some into life (at the Lord’s return into THE millennium, and some into the resurrection of judgment” (Jn.5:28-29) which elsewhere He calls agelasting-correction [“kolasin aionion” or “correction eonian” Mt.25:46.]

12 These are hidden reefs (thus dangerous) at your good will feasts, as they banquet with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves, waterless clouds, swept along by winds, fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, trees without roots. 13 They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame, wandering stars, for whom deepest darkness has been reserved aionion.

        Matthew 26:30-46

30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 31 On the way, Jesus told them, “Tonight all of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say, ‘God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ 32 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”

33 Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.” (The gospels are eye witness accounts. Eye witness accounts aLways differ in details.) 34 “Truly I tell you, Peter” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” 35 Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not disown you!” And all the disciples said the same. 36 Then entering the olive grove called Gethsemane, he said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.”

37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee (John and James) along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup of suffering be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” 40 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” 43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he went to pray a third time, saying the same things. 45 Then he came to the disciples and said, “Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But look—the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise, let us be going. See, my betrayer is at hand.”

          (In Order Written)

          Peter’s Second Letter

             ~ 2 Peter 2:1-7 ~

1 - But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive opinions [hairesis - self-chosen opinion, divisive choices] as truth. Even denying the Lord who bought [agorรกzล - acquire by purchasing, stresses transfer of] them, bringing swift ruin upon theirselves. 2 Many will follow after their insolence and unlawfulness, through whom the way of Truth will be marginalized. 3 In their self interest [pleonexia - covetousness, avarice, aggression, desire for advantage] these false teachers will make merchandise of you by telling made-up stories, but the judgment of old (cause and effect) is not idle, and their ruin does not slumber. 4 For if the angels who transgressed [hamartia - (now) missing the mark] God spared not. But in chains oF gloom and deepest darkness [tartarus - originally, deepest darkness] gave them over to now awaiting judgment. (They are in deep darkness, locked into judgment, having become imperfect/hamartian, they cannot now reverse their course back to perfection.)

5 And if God did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood upon the ungodly (when “every thought” thus act, “was only evil”) but protected (thus preserving humanity) seven plus Noah, a preacher of righteousness (whereby Jesus “went via the Spirit and preached” warning and urging the people, 1Pet.3:19 “while the ark was being prepared”). 6 And (consider) Gomorrah and cities having reduced to ashes of ruin [katastrophรฉ] as an example of what comes/is set upon [melloton - in general of what is sure to happen to] the seditious, 7 but rescued Lot who was daily distressed by the lawless conduct. [Fiery judgment is not an afterlife hell or purgatory, but is earthly event and prophecy. (Dah?)]

Hell as Misunderstood Earthly Prophecy

“If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and seek my face, I will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14. Humble.

Truth is, we’re all wild weeds in God’s garden gone wild. It’s after the born again experience that we become wheat. Now here’s a very good question. “When?” When is the wheat gathered into His barn? ..And the still wild weeds gathered to a fire (Rev.16:14-16! Jude verse 7) Matthew 13:30.

GOD ALL POWERFUL

I found God in a nontraditional way. I had been researching world religions, meditation and astrology.. That was 39 years ago. After some disillusionment with church interpretations of the message of God, contained in the Bible, I've been studying (the Bible) on my own. And now we have such great study aids and apps these days! Tracing the words in verses back to the original Greek (or Hebrew) is SO revealing. I tell you we have greatly underestimated Him! My son asked me almost 20 years ago - "Why was the tree of knowing good and evil in the garden?" and "Isn't it great we get to be an ant farm?"

You know.. I wasn't satisfied with my answers, so I prayed and the answers knocked my socks off. Clean off, and they're still knocked off. And it's ultimately so simple.

Short story we're no ant farm. 'Hell' is a mistranslation of four words (four words! Five if we count pit - the "dusty pit".) Any punishment is "corrective", especially seeing as he is Father.. "God is the savior of all" 1 Timothy 4:10. Jesus said He will draw all to Him, John 12:32. Philippians 2:11 - "Every tongue will wholeheartedly confess that Jesus is Lord.." (Taking into account the Greek.) And SO many verses which, somehow, go unseen. But alas, I am not the only one who sees them! Peace! God bless! [Note to self, make a list of web sites and blogs. Tentmaker.org is one I think of right away.]

Eternal Heaven and Hell Myth Leaves Christians Rootless?

I don't have to write a post because I fit it all in the title. (Lol!)

[Note: aion, aionian, aionias - (eon, age) etc. have all been translated as eternal, everlasting and forever.]

But don't you think so? First off, of course Father is seen as being rather powerless and impotent. His whole program of rescuing from death (or 'eternal' torment!) can only be accomplished within a very limited set time. After that all hope is lost. It is out of God's hands.

We overlook God's pristine character! And His flawless (pristine) attributes!

And so, not only that, but the belief is in an eternal torment place, one will end up in. Or an eternal heaven place where there is no space, time or matter. (I think that's how many see it, that is...?) That may sound appealing to some.. But right now thinking about it, I'm actually feeling a little queasy. The belief, to me, is so up in the air! No roots, can't git yer teeth into it..

Imo, we overlook God's pristine creation! It was "all good"... And it will be again!
Yes! I think there will still be rough bark on the trees.. And an Earth with no seas..

HAGD! (God bless!)

Has The Gospel Message Lost Any Of Its Glory Since First Delivered?

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.. ..And man, "male and female, in His own image".

And every thing was very good" [from Genesis 1:1, 27 and 31].  And God himself, surely? Is both Life (itself) and Perfection (without flaw or weakness or limitation).

"..The Lord God breathed into his nostrils (the) breath of life, and the man became a living creature" [Genesis 2:7].

But in their heart, mankind has wandered away from perfection and God who is life. (A possibility and side effect of thinking ability?) "For all have sinned" (in the original language - missed the mark) "and come short of the splendor of God" [Romans 3:23]. And "the results of sin" (imperfection) "is death" [Romans 6:23]. Imperfection, being the opposite of Life/God.

"But! The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus!" [Romans 6:23]. "Which works" (the rescue) "was finished from the foundation/creation of the world" [Hebrews 4:3].

Jesus said, "If I be lifted up from the earth" (on the cross) "I will draw all men to me" [John 12:32]. Another translation puts it like this - "And I" said Jesus, "when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

1 Timothy 4:10 says "we trust in the living God! Who is the Savior of all men! Especially of those who believe." Another version says "who is Saviour of all men -- especially of those believing." God, our Father, is the savior of all.  -- Perfect (surely?) makes no mistakes. Can lose nothing.

"...He made known to us the mystery of his will, that when the times reach their fulfillment He might gather together all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth" [Ephesians 1:9,10]. "And through Jesus to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven.." [Colossians 1:20].

"Behold," the Book of Revelation says "I make all things new.. the river of life from the throne, as clear as crystal.."

"He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes between nations. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, with none troubling, for the Lord Almighty has spoken" [Micah 4:3,4]. "The cow and the bear shall graze, their young ones shall lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox" [Isaiah 11:7].

Christianity has been made up of human beings, and the gospel message has been passed down through human hands for nearly two thousand years. That the message has lost some of its glory, and picked up some baggage along the way, is not surprising. As the Gospel (Greek for "good news") has come to be preached and taught, it would seem one of two impossibilities would be true. God is not perfect, certainly not all powerful. Or, God is not all good. But some darkness resides within Him. (And thus He too misses the mark, and can only fade?)

Is it possible we have come to greatly underestimate Him? And His great plan (intent) of salvation and reconciliation (perfection)? "The grave" has been translated to read "hell". Which, surely, casts a great shadow upon His character. And contradicts both the good news and the Holy Bible. The "lower part of the earth" and "the place of the dead" is still the grave.

"Preaching via the Spirit to those awaiting the ark and flood", was in that day, not in a mythical, all hope is lost 'hell'. "These will be coming into eonian (agelasting) chastening/curtailing" has been translated into "these will go away into eternal punishment" [Matthew 25:46 ]. And the phrase "in the deepest depths of darkness, locked into judgment" also, does not equate to a lower chamber in 'hell'! A closer translation for judgment, would be "decision" (from the Greek word "krisis"). Even "Gehenna" the city dump has been translated to read 'hell'!

"All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will worship before Thee" Psalm 22:27.

"So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it" [Isaiah 55:11]. "I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and it turns not back, that to Me, every knee shall bow and every tongue swear" [Isaiah 45:23].

"‘As surely as I live' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me, every tongue will acknowledge God’” [Romans 14:11]. Ultimately, all humans will repent.. there may even "be weeping and gnashing of teeth" in "outer darkness" but if God says all will bend the knee and all families of the nations will worship (rejoice) before Him, who are we to contradict His Word. His Promise.

In 1 Corinthians 15:22-28, it says, "In Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order - Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then (also) -- the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, having abolished all rule, authority and power.. and the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.. all things having been subdued unto him, that He may be (the) all in all".

From Revelation 21:1,4,5 - "There will be new heavens and a new Earth.. God shall wipe away all tears ...there shall be no more death. Behold, I make all things new."

"..Though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.." [Psalm 46:2]. Even if man's world were to crash in an hour and fall in a day, "HIS kingdom will never end!" [Luke 1:33].

"We will not fear, for God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" [Psalm 46:1].

Jesus said "Abide in me" [John 15:4] and “if you abide in My word, truly my disciples ye are, and ye shall know the truth" [John 8:31].

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.. We may come near, then, with freedom, to the throne of grace, that we may receive kindness, and find grace -- for seasonable help" [James 4:8; Hebrews 4;16] ..for the help and ongoing transformation we need.

"We shall be like Him" [1 John 3:2].

"For the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness (gentleness), faithfulness, humility, and self-control (temperance)" [Galatians 5:22,23].

"God is love" [1 John 4:8].

HEALING

A lot of people believe in God - it's not that hard, well perhaps a little for some, in these days of modern invention and busyness. But to see the Great Spirit and Presence of Life (often perceived in moments of quietness) is to receive some portion of healing just in the perceiving.
- Add to this, that he sent a son (a unique first Son) to gather all things back to God and perfection. What was done was done, and now this Son says he has the keys to life, death and the grave.
- "Grave" is the proper translation of what some have translated 'hell', a preChristian idea and far cry from the "Sheol" of B.C. and the Old Testament.
- Jesus said "it is finished". After the consummation of mankind's history (or did we think man's empire, "house of merchandise" and self seeking could endure and smother the planet forever?) We are told we "will be like Jesus" ..who healed everything he touched. Just read the Gospel (testimony) of Mark! The chapter begins with Christ's introduction by wild man, John the Baptist. And by the end of that first chapter, Jesus has healed so many that great crowds are following him everywhere he goes, so much so that he can no longer enter the towns but remains outside the towns. (Which he seems to prefer anyway!)
- Jesus is "the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature." Hebrews 1:3.
- "The cow and the bear shall graze.. together; and the lion shall" (once again) eat straw like the ox." Isaiah 11:7
- "..they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more; Everyone will find rest beneath their own fig trees or grape vines, and they will live in peace. This is a solemn promise of God All-Powerful." Micah 4:3,4
- "All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him. Psalm 22:27
His Spirit Heals each of us, the whole planet.. and life.
There is creative POWER in our thoughts and WORDS, and also of course, in our prayers for one another...

Those Obnoxious Christians

Many folks think Christians are somewhat obnoxious. Of course, in every group of human beings, there are those who give the rest 'a bad name'. And then too, Christianity often rubs a person the wrong way before they are "saved" (rescued from the grave, more commonly translated "hell"). But another reason Christians are thought of as obnoxious is because they don't easily give up in trying to convert another. But the reason Christians can be very zealous in their efforts to convince, is because they are taught and believe that unless one believes in Christ before their death, they will perish.. or worse. In other words, to them it's a matter of life or death. (So they willingly suffer unpopularity and humiliation.)

What Is The (True) Character of God?

If God (the deity) is Life, the life force itself, and surely he is, for what else could be? "In the beginning, God.." Then when one reaps consequences of one's very own doings, it still could be said that God 'rewards' and 'punishes'. Yet it is no direct act of his..
- Hebrews 1:3 tells us that it's the character of Jesus, the Son, which is the "exact representation" of God the Father's character, "he is the radiance of his glory and the exact representation of his nature". Elsewhere it says he is "the exact likeness of God" (2 Cor 4:4) and "he is the image of the invisible God, and the firstborn of all creation" (Col 1:15).
- The theory of (and word) "hell" is a mistranslation which should more closely read "the grave". This mistranslation closes many minds to the message of the Bible (and understandingly so!) which message is the full triumph of good versus evil, or, that is to say, the full triumph of life over death. This one thing alone takes much of the shine from the glory of the message, what is called "the good news", which Jesus always called "the gospel of the Kingdom" (of paradise on Earth restored and unbreakable).

Just What Is Hell, Besides a Mistranslation Which Should Read Death?

'Hell' was created, as 'hell' is commonly understood to be, very early on, but not by God! As a place of torment it has been a part of ancient Pagan (non-Hebrew) beliefs and reached its epiphany in Greece. But Israel acquainted "hellfire" with fiery (national) judgment. And Sheol, of course, the place of the dead, was the grave and the dust of - Isaiah 14:11; Genesis 3:19 (Philippians 2:10).
- "Hell" is being without God. But that can't happen! God is Life. Every little drop of Life is God - Genesis 1:1 - so to be without God is to not be. Period. "And the last thing to be vanquished is death" - 1 Corinthians 15:26. (The opposite of Life, is non-life.)
- Jude, in verse 7, said "the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.. is the example of eternal fire" - Jude 7. Is there flames and fire there now, where Sodom and Gomorrah once were? Rather it is mounds of dust and ashes. Revelation 19:3 speaks of destruction as a "smoke that rises forever and ever." It is an eternal lesson which is remembered forever and ever, and then some. The smoke (memory) of it will rise forever in our memory and psyche. We cannot walk away from God in any means or fashion, because God is both Life and Perfection. To turn from Him in any little thing is to cease to be. It's an eternal "note to self (a great gift) which says "CANNOT BE DONE".
- But this journey and lesson of hell (death) and hellfire, this narrative of God is/was unavoidable, unless God is creating an ant farm and robots. But He's not. He's of course creating the absolutely best thing possible, because He is, after all, Perfection. So the 'end' result of all this can only be Perfect. Nothing else is possible.

Quote from "The Golden Legend"

"Some falsehood mingles with all truth,
Nor is it strange the heart of youth
Should waver and comprehend but slowly
The things that are holy and unholy."
....from "the Golden Legend"
"some falsehood mingles with all truth"... That has to be true! ..and also, some truth mingles with all falsehood. Because if there's absolutely no truth somewhere in something, that something can only completely dissolve and disappear (become like the driest and dustiest of ashes) forevermore...
