LUKE 24 36-48

36 - They were still talking about these things (how Peter saw him and also the two while on their way to Emmaus) when Jesus himself stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.”

     37 But they were startled. And frightened, and thought they were seeing a ghost.

     38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why is there doubt in your hearts? 39 See my hands and feet, that it’s I myself. Touch me, and see. For a ghost does not have flesh and bones - as you see, I have.” 40 And he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still could hardly believe for joy and were marveling, he said, “Have you anything to eat?” 42 So they gave him a broiled fish, 43 and he ate it there before them.

     44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you - that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Psalms, and written by the Prophets must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scripture, 46 and he said to them, “Thus, is it written, that Messiah/the Christ should suffer and rise from the dead the third day. 47 And that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. 48 And you are witnesses of it.”

Start the day with a Psalm (jan 1-20, feb-20’s, mar-30’s, apr-40’s, etc. dec-120-150)

Limited Scope to Full Scope

 ..🎼 Psalms, to me, seems to suggest Israel is the ‘microcosm’ fulfillment and example. And the world is the macrocosm. First a covenant to birth the Son, God’s blueprint, then the one to birth all the sins and daughters. Isn’t it necessary, if there’s to be thinking and reasoning ability, to let choices other than his, manifest and run their course - first. What I mean is, just how do you create genuinely able to think and reason beings, aNd, keep paradise/perfection intact?

     If there had been no option to stray in Eden, no power of choice in creation, we would have to be an ant farm? God opted instead for total ‘herd’ immunity? The disease is the cure? The crucible, laver, sieve, slow gehenna.. Creation and humanity will be sealed A to Z..?

Enter The Story Reading Schedule

I am working on transferring my Bible reading schedule onto this website / blog. The reading schedule can be found here - http://inner-monastery.blogspot.com/p/daily.html

The gospels are blended into two six month continuous readings in an effort to more easily 'enter the story' and feel a bit more as if we are walking with Jesus, where He walked and as He walked.

The Book of Acts is read over the course of the year. As is the Book of Revelation.

The New Testament letters are also read annually, and are read in the order believed to have been written.

There's an annual schedule for Psalms and a 31 day schedule for Proverbs. And a developing one for the books of the prophets.
