            ☀️ Colossians 1:16-20

(15 - He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.) 16 - For in him all in heaven and upon earth were created. The visible and the invisible, seats and dominions [arché - beginnings, origins, principalities] and jurisdictions [exousia - powers, rights, jurisdictions]. All were created through him and for him. {Powers and principalities, boundaries.. all originally perfect and pristine, but not (yet) ‘programmed’, so to speak.. school of hard knocks is doing the job.}

     17 And he is before all, and in him all are held together. 18 He is the head of the body, the church (body of believers). And he is the beginning, and the firstborn from the dead, so that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him - all the fullness of God - was pleased to dwell, 20 and, through him “to reconcile to himself, the all, having made peace by the blood of the cross of him, whether the upon earth or the in the heavens”. [Verse 20 is a more or less word for word translation, according to language tools we now have at our fingertips.]

            🌙 John 7:2-9

2 - The annual Feast of Booths/Tents/Tabernacles was at hand {Rev.21:5, Lev.23:34-36}. 3 Jesus’ (natural) brothers (Mt.13:55) said to him, “Why don’t you go to Judea, so your disciples (from all over, gathered annually for the feast) may see the works you’re doing. 4 For if you want to be known, don’t do these things secretly, but openly, then you’ll show yourself to the world.” 5 For even his brothers didn’t really believe in him. {But both James and Jude have a letter in the New Testament. And James became one of the leaders of the Jerusalem believers.}

     6 But Jesus said, “My time hasn’t yet come, but your time is always here. 7 The world doesn’t hate you. It hates me because I testify of it, that its works are evil [ponéros - wicked, bad, malicious]. 8 You go to the feast. I’m not going, for my time has not yet fully come.” 9 After saying this, he remained in Galilee.

     {He was not yet going to - this - Tabernacles? For the time was not completed. It was not - his - Tabernacles, the compleTe fulfillment (Eph.1:10) was not yet. “Tabernacles” being the Fulfillment - Rev.21:5 - the ancient (Lev.23) Holy Days, Spring and Fall, being an outline of his first brief advent (Spring), and then his longer, stretched out, second advent (Fall holy days of Lev.23 as an outline), which concludes at/with the “last great ‘day’” an “8th ‘day’” when all imperfections of self as first and foremost will be fuLLy removed from humanity. Humanity’s circumcision of the heart completed upon the “8th day”.}

            ☀️ 2 Corinthians 9:7-15

(The traveling brothers were taking a collection to Jerusalem, a gift for severe drought relief. Paul wrote..) 7 - Each one must give as they’ve decided in their heart, and not reluctantly or under compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound, so that having all sufficiency in all things, at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it’s written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor, his righteousness endures forever.”

     10 He who supplies seed for the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing. And at the same time will increase the harvest {maturing} of your righteous good character. 11 That is to say, you will be enriched in every way! This is so you can be generous in every way, which produces thanksgiving to God. 12 For the service of this gift is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

     13 They will glorify God because of your generosity, both to them and to others. Which generosity and benevolent spirit grows out of your believing the gospel of Christ. 14 And their affection for you will increase as well, and they will say prayers for you.

     All this grows and expands because of the surpassing grace of God upon us. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable and beyond words gift! {Few have understood its full scale, though a glimmer does seem to be trying to shine through the cracks..} 

            🌙 John 1:35-51

35 - The next day John (the Baptist) was standing with two of his disciples, 36 when he saw Jesus as he was walking by and he said, “Look! The Lamb of God!” {Why? Why a sacrifice? (As portrayed in the O.T. worship. Fulfilled via the only straight out from God one. Forever firstborn Son.) Imagine yourself waking up into the radiance of the GWT judgment ‘day’ and you had been a child sex trafficker.. Or a cruel and heartless despot, abusing and harming untold numbers of vulnerable people.. Ultimately is it God’s anger at you that needs to be appeased? Or is it our own human conscience and psyche that demands appeasement.. Imagine - ultimately - the very gut wrenching remorse, of some. ..Remorse actually works.}

    37 Two disciples of John heard him say this [“lamb of God”] so they left and followed Jesus. 38 Jesus turned and saw them following him and asked them, “What are you seeking?” They said, “Rabbi/teacher, where are you staying?” 39 He said, “Come and see.” So they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour (about 4pm).

     40 One of the two who heard John, and had followed Jesus home, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 So Andrew first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We’ve found the Messiah!” [Messías – anointed, anointed one, hebrew, the Greek is Christos - Christ.]

     42 Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” [which means Peter].

     43 The next day Jesus went to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the dame city as Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip went and found Nathanael (Mt.10:3, is Bartholomew?) and said to him, “We have found the one Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote about! Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph!” 46 Nathanael said, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”

     Philip said, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said, “An Israelite indeed! In whom there is no guile!” 48 Nathanael said, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael said, “Rabbi, you’re the Son of God! The King of Israel!”

     50 Jesus answered, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ you believe? I tell you, you’ll see greater things than this. 51 You will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending to the Son of Man.” [Rev.12:5]

    15 - As it’s written - Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little, had no lack! - 16 Thanks be to God who {gives the bounty} and put into the heart of Titus the same spirit of brotherhood I’ve had for you. 17 For he not only is coming for us, but he’s eager to take advantage of the opportunity to come and see you.

     18 And we’re sending with him, the brother who’s famous among the churches {meeting groups} for his teaching and telling of the message. {Luke?} 19 And not only that, but he’s been appointed to travel with us as we carry this gift of good will. (Relief sent after drought.) 20 We take this course so no one need be concerned about it. 21 We aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man.

     22 And we’re also sending our brother who’s been tested often, and has proved to be steadfast, and motivated in many ways. And is now more earnest than ever because of his confidence in you.

     23 And Titus as you know, is my (Paul’s) partner and fellow worker. And as for our brothers, they’re messengers of the groups, which are the glory of Christ! 24 Your genuineness, which we’ve been boasting about, will be made plain to all.

1 - Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit(/Presence of God) into the wilderness to be tested [peirazó - tested, tempted] by the devil. 2 And after fasting for forty days and nights, he was hungry. 3 And at this point, the tempter came and said to him, “If you’re the Son of God, command these stones to be made into loaves of bread.” 4 But Jesus answered, “It’s written - ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God.’”

     5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the highest point of the temple, 6 and said, “If you’re the Son of God, throw yourself down! For it’s written, ‘He’ll command his angels concerning you, and on their hands they’ll bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” [Ps.91:11,12]

     7 But Jesus said again, “It’s written - ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil [diabolos - devil, accuser, slanderer] {voice of division, accusation ..wars} took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And said to him, “All this, I will give to you. If you’ll fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said, “Go away Satan! For it’s written - ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him alone shall you serve” [latreuó - serve, worship, in the Greco-Roman world, latreuó was commonly associated with service to various deities]. 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came.

7 - Jesus told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor he said, 8 “If you’re invited by someone to a wedding banquet, don’t go and sit in one of the seats of honor, 9 lest you be embarrassed if you are asked to sit somewhere else. 10 But when you’re invited, go sit in the lower, more humble seat, then when the host comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, come sit in this better seat.’ Then you’ll be honored in the presence of everyone sitting at table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts theirself will be humbled, and they who humble theirself will be lifted up.”

     12 Then he said to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, don’t just invite your friends or your siblings and relatives and wealthy neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,14 and you’ll be blessed. Because they can’t repay you. And then you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” [During the wedding banquet/reception of the ten bridesmaid’s parable, Mt.25:1-13. For some time I’ve wondered who are the bridesmaids? Who is the bride.. Or that is, what is the ‘difference’. In a way it’s like a dream? They say we are all the characters in our dreams. So it’s yet the pointing out of the process?

     The bridesmaids meet him at his coming. In the parable, they have oil (Holy Spirit) in their lamps. They’ve been waiting and are prepared and ready when the call is made “the bridegroom is coming!” And so, lamps lit, they meet him. The door is open and they go through to the celebration. And in reality, where do they go? Into what’s called “the” millennium. Six millennium of things running course, so then a seventh millennium, a Sabbath rest from enmity and the adversary. BUT! The bride is the New Jerusalem.. arrayed in radiance and will include all. All reconciled to God, through Jesus. So the bridesmaid’s is the betrothal? All of us are betrothed even now.  But full union is at the “putting on of perfection, thus immortality”. And we become part of the NEW Jerusalem. ..Not sure if I have the full picture, but getting there? Note: the “first” resurrection’s putting on of perfection/immortality is simultaneous with it. But in between the “second” resurrection and its immortality put on, is GWT Judgment/discernment/review/closure ‘day’, second half of the “8th day”/millennium. Rev.20:7-10 is the first half. The three mentions of lake of fire are at huge fiery events. There’s two outlines of God’s work: the week plus one, and within it, the ancient hebrew holy days - Leviticus 23.

     How to be ready? 2Tim.3:16 “all scripture for training.” Especially our New Testament/Testimony.}

9 - I (John) have written something to the church/group, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself as foremost, doesn’t welcome us. 10 So if I come, I’ll bring it up, along with the terrible nonsense he’s been saying against us. And not only that, but he also refuses to welcome the brothers, and he prevents those who want to welcome them from doing so!

     11 Beloved! Don’t imitate evil! {As Diotrephes, sowing division, competing, accusing, slandering, etc, all worldly political and a siren call to ever worsening things.} Instead imitate the good. Whoever does good is of God. Whoever does evil has not {yet} seen God.

     12 Now Demetrius, he has received a good testimony from everyone. And from truth itself! {“Truth bears witness of itself”. Logic stands. Root word of logic is logos.} We also add our witness, and you know that our witness {testimony, testament} is true.

     13 I had much to write to you, but I would rather not write with reed and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.

     18 But you (under the New Testament agreement/contract that is signed in blood - because it has to reach eveRy psyche) you have not come to a mountain that cannot be touched for it is burning with fiery flames, to darkness, gloom and stormy tempest, 19 with the sound of a trumpet and a voice and words that made the listeners beg that no further word be spoken to them. 20 For they couldn’t endure it, “If even a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.” {Thermonuclear type contagion?} 21 Indeed, so terrifying was the sight that even Moses said, “I am in terrible fear!” 22 But you - You have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and myriads of angels. 23 To the festal gathering and assembly/crowd of the firstborn being enrolled in heaven, and to God judge of all and all the  spirits of the righteous being perfected, 24 and to Jesus, mediator of the new covenant, and the sprinkled blood that speaks a better message than the blood of Abel. {Which cried out to God.. for response, as it should. Which is the first truth proving covenant, that brought us to court. But the cross pardons - paid in full. Yet we learn the crime was not acceptable, can never work. ..Paradise/perfection, and humanity, God’s family, is being built to endure. And imperfection is entropy, a living crucible.}

May it not be charged against them! 17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And so I was rescued from the lion's mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.

1 - Masters, treat your bondservants (working off a loan of money or land) justly and fairly, knowing that you have a Master in heaven, as well. 2 Continue faithfully in prayer, being watchful, with thanksgiving. 3 And pray for us! That God may open a door to us for the word/message, to make known the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison, 4 and that I may make the mystery clear, which is how I ought to speak.

     5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so you may know how to answer any person.

     7 Tychicus will make known to you concerning me. He’s a beloved brother and faithful in the Lord. 8 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are and that he may encourage your hearts, 9 and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you of everything that has taken place here.

10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark (a helper as scribe for Paul, Peter, likely Luke, and compiled a gospel account, but early on quit the first missionary journey of Paul, the cousin of Barnabas, concerning whom you have received instructions—if he comes to you, welcome him. (Paul and Barnabas quarreled when it came time for the 2nd trip.. so much so they split in their travels.. but all had made amends later as we can see.) And Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only men of the circumcision among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.12 Epaphras, also one of you, and a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature, steadfast, and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis. 14 Luke the beloved physician greets you, as does Demas. 15 Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house. 16 And when this letter has been read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and see that you also read the letter from Laodicea. 17 And say to Archippus, “Be sure to fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.”

33 - The leaders said to him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it you say, ‘You will become free’?”

     34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, I tell you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 And a slave doesn’t remain in the house forever, but the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you’ll be free indeed! 37 I know you are offspring of Abraham. Yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you. 38 I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

     39 They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said, “If you were Abraham's children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, 40 but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.

     41 You are doing the works your father did.” They said to him, “We were not born of fornication! We have one Father, God.” 42 Jesus answered, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and here I am. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.

     43 And why do you not understand what I say? It’s because you cannot bear to hear my message. 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires.” {Now the desire is still “I will ascend” and the ancient dream of Total World Domination. One POWER - filled by him and his.} “He was a murderer from the beginning” {of creation, God having SO patiently waited for the first, bound-TO-occur rebel thought to mature into full blown seditious sentiment, ripe for acting} “and he does not stand in the truth, because there’s no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of himself [idios - private, personal, peculiar, (his) own] “for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me. 46 Which one of you can convict me of sin? 21 - Jesus told the people again, “I’m going away. And you’ll look for me, but you’ll die in your sin [hamartia - missing the mark]. Where I’m going, you cannot go.” 22 So they said, “Will he kill himself? Since he says, ‘Where I’m going, you can’t go’?” 23 He said to them, “You are from below” {thiS is the below, and the “lower part of earth” is the grave, originally the hebrew sheol - “where there is no doing nor knowing/awareness” - if visited by a no longer here loved one it’s from another dimension called the future(?) - and a direct verse quote only exchanging the greek hades for the hebrew sheol, shows hades is the same place and condition as sheol (Ps.16:10, Acts 2:27), Jesus was in the grave for three days and nights, his visit to those locked into destruction during the one hundred years of Noah’s building of the ark, was whiLe the ark was being built (1Pet.3:19-20) as (logically?) he went and preached via Noah “a preacher of righteousness” (2Pet.2:5) - other than that, pre-flood was hands off}.

     “I am from above. You’re of this world, but I’m not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your imperfection/missing the mark, for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your missing the mark (of perfection. So will rise into the GWT judgment ‘day’ (“aionion”) - INITIALLY - still in the missing the mark condition. That God iS life is the iron/unbreakable natural law, number one. And number two, is he “is perfect”. So imperfect is entropy a process (crucible) that does not quit/reverse. BUT. No option to stray in Eden, and creation would be an ant farm. So the remedy - strong enough to appease eveRy conscience (for imperfect is also an abyss of potential - so the remedy) was built in. During pre-flood even cannibaalism was rife? “Covering angels” of animals joined the “covering angel over Eden” in his rebellion, so some animals turned predator? And if man had not become carnivore, mankind would’ve become prey? How low can we (each of us) go? Depends where God blocks the shaft to the abyss with his hand?}

     25 So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus answered, “Just what I’ve been telling you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to tell you and to judge concerning you. But he who sent me is true and genuine, and what I speak to the world is what I hear from him.” 27 But they didn’t understand he was talking to them about the Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I’m he, and that I do nothing on my own, but I say what the Father has taught me. 29 And he is with me. But some Jews from Asia came 19 — and they should be here, before you — should they have anything against me. 20 Or else let these men themselves say what wrongdoing they found when I stood before the council, 21 other than this one thing, I cried out while standing among them, which was, ‘It’s concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you this day.’”

     22 But Felix, having a rather accurate knowledge of the Way, put the council off, saying, “When Lysias the tribune comes down, I’ll decide your case.” 23 Then he gave orders to the centurion that he should be kept in custody but have some liberty, and that none of his friends should be prevented from seeing to whatever he might need.

     24 Then after some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, and he sent for Paul and heard him speak about faith in Jesus. 25 And as he was reasoning with them about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix became alarmed and said, “Go away for now. When I get an opportunity I’ll summon you again.” 26 At the same time he hoped Paul would give him money for his release, so he sent for him often. 27 When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And wanting to do the Jewish/Hebrew leaders a favor, he left Paul in prison.

All the churches of Christ send to you their greetings.

     17 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions, and create obstacles that are contrary to the teaching that you were taught, avoid them. 18 For such persons don’t serve our Lord, but their own selves, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. 19 For your obedience {to “the way”} is known to all, so I rejoice over you! 14 - I myself am satisfied about you, my brethren, that you yourselves are full of goodness and knowledge, so are able to instruct one another. 15 But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given to me by God 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles/nations in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 17 In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God. 18 For I am determined to speak of nothing but what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience—by word and deed, 19 by the power of the Spirit if God, by the power of signs and wonders, so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ. 20 And so I make it my ambition to proclaim the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, the foundation already laid, 21 but as it’s written, “Those who have never been told of him will see. 1 - As for those who are weak in faith, welcome them! But not to quarrel over opinions. 2 One person believes he may eat anything, while the person with the more sensitive conscience, eats only vegetables. 3 Let not the one who eats despise/feel superior to the one who abstains! And let not the one who abstains - pass judgment/feel superior - to the one who eats! For God welcomes both. 4 Who are you {any of us} to pass judgment on another of the Lord’s servants? It is before their own master that they stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

     5 One person judges one day as better than another, while another judges all days to be alike. LeT, each one be fuLLy convinced in their - own - mind. 6 The one observing the day, is observing it to the Lord. The one observing all days alike, is also observing into the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since they give thanks to God. While the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord, and also gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives to our self, and none of us dies to our self. (Next verse - for we live or we die unto the Lord.)

{Dear Roman brothers and sisters, although pagan concepts, we all renounce, are woven into the civil order} 1 - Let every person be subject to the governing powers, not being disorderly and rebellious. For order is from God,. 2 Therefore whoever resists the order resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment/suffer the consequences. 3 Authorities are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the authority? Then do what is good, and you’ll receive approval, 4 for he is a servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he doesn’t police in vain but is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore we must subject ourself, not only to avoid God's wrath {suffer consequences} but also for the sake of conscience. 6 We pay taxes for the same reason, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 {What I mean is} Pay to all what is owed to them, taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

     8 Owe no one anything! Except to love each other, for those who love their fellow person has fulfilled the law.

1 - My heart's desire and prayer to God for my countrymen is for salvation. 2 For I bear witness about them, that they have a genuine zeal for God, but not according to accurate knowledge. {History repeats? In many shades..?} 3 For not knowing of the righteousness of God, and seeking to attain their own, they don’t submit to God's righteousness. 4 For Christ is the end [telos - the end aim] of the law for righteousness to everyone believing. 5 Moses wrote about the righteousness that is based upon the law {external} that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6 But the righteousness based upon faith {internal} says, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who shall ascend into heaven?’” that is, to bring Christ down {to ones self?} 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” that is, to bring Christ up from the dead. 8 But what does it say? “The word is near to you, in your mouth and in your heart” that is, the word of faith that we proclaim. 9 Because, if you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you are saved.10 For with the heart we believe and are freely justified.
