1John 5 14-21

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ•Š️  reading & study  ๐Ÿ•Š️๐Ÿƒ

08/27 ~ From New Testament Letters

   (In the Order Believed Written)

14 - And this is the confidence we have, that if we ask anything - according to His will - he hears us. 15 And if he hears us, we have the requests we ask for. 16 So if you see your brother or sister sinning (hamartanรณ - missing the mark) ask, and God will give them life (repentance/turning). Unless it’s the sin unto death. Concerning that I cannot say. {Blasphemy/insulting the Spirit/Presence of God). Called ‘the unforgiveable sin’. The unable to be forgiven sin while it’s being practiced? And logic, root word logos, in Jn.12:32, John recorded how Jesus said he will draw all. But to hate and despise God takes a bit more than our prayer? In Mark 3:29, Jesus said “they have not forgiveness to the age, it is an aionion sin.” To what age? And Matthew 12:32, “they are not forgiven in this age or the next age.” It being CE when he spoke, so unforgiven this age and also during “the” coming “millennium” a Sabbath rest from enmity and evil. And what follows that? Satan & Co are released and they go out and gather, once again to an armageddon against now, the millennial Jerusalem. Gather who? Logically, descendants of mortal survivors of the apocalypse (the totally man done apocalypse.. except for the rogue angels which work as accelerators. Otherwise this whole ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and its worm that doesn’t quit, the decomposing, could take a long time indeed. “All the world’s a stage” - Shakespeare. Because God is Life and “is perfect”, straying is imperfection, and thus entropy. (Sorry I’m straying, as usual.) Then after the gathering to the post millennial war, the fiery final defeat (and a second mention of a lake of fire, first was at the first armageddon, third and last m ention is at the fiery “palin/again-genesis.” But first) aFter the fiery, final defeat of Satan & Co, is GWT ‘Day’ of Judgment.. and closure for all and all history. John 12:32!! Rev.20, told like describing the crests of waves and not much of the in between.}

     17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is missing the mark that is not so drastic. {That’s good because we are none of us “perfect” and totally hitting the mark - not yet! Heb.11:40. But to have received the satanic logic to the point of despising God? A tougher matter. ..And a sign of times? Bad things are like noxious weeds that choke out flowers and vegetables. And are like sharp thistles. Why Jesus had a “crown of thorns”?}

     18 For we know that everyone who has been born of God doesn’t just keep on sinning, for God protects them from the evil one. 19 We know that we’re from God, but “the world” lies in the POWER of the evil one. 20 And we know the Son of God has come and has given us understanding. This is so we may know He who is True. And we are in him, the true one, through his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and is life enduring. 21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

Today’s GospeL Verses ~ Luke 14:7-14

7 - Jesus told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor he said, 8 “When you’re invited by someone to a wedding feast, don’t go and sit in one of the seats of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited, 9 and you be embarrassed when you are asked to sit somewhere else. 10 But when you’re invited, go sit in the lower, more humble place! Then when your host comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts theirself will be humbled, and they who humble theirself will be lifted up.”

     12 Then he said to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, don’t just invite your friends or your brethren/siblings and relatives and wealthy neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,14 and you will be blessed. Because they cannot repay you. And then you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” [During the wedding banquet/reception๐Ÿ—️ of the ten bridesmaid’s parable, Mt.25:1-13.]

                ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:1-14 ~

1 - Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers and sisters, you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (๐Ÿค”Sneakily!) 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come suddenly upon them as labor pains come upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, that the day surprise you. 5 For you are children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake, and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk during the night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the protecting breastplate of faith and love. And for a helmet the hope [elpis - expectation!] of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath (dust to dust/gone or the fiery judgments which are all earthly, even during the millennium after “the” millennium, Rev.20:7-10) but to obtain salvation [sรณtรฉria - welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety] through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 Who died for us so that whether we may watch or sleep we will live with him! 11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

     12 We ask you, brothers and sisters, to respect those who labor among you and are leaders in the Lord, teaching and counseling you. 13 And so esteem them very highly in love because of their work. And be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we urge you to admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with all.

The Millennium

 A question I’ve had for a while concerns “the” millennium. Perhaps there iS a sort of laisez faire gospel where the message is you’re saved, it’s a gift.. Just do your best to treat your fellow person fairly. They kind of follow at a distance. But there’s another crowd that for them it’s God or nothing. Truth or nothing. Impelled to seek, ask, knock. And, or, is it that we all go through the two stages?

     So then comes that last trumpet’s sounding. And we have the parable of the ten bridesmaids, five run low on oil for the lamps for joining in the bright procession.. Which procession goes in to the wedding reception, the union reception, the union banquet. And the door is shut and bolted. It’s not a door shut to forever life. It’s the door to the wedding reception. The resurrection and catching away is the uniting, the wedding. It’s bright, it’s radiant. We need enough oil in our lamps to stay in the Light, the radiance. Yes? (Like in dreams, we are dual characters, both the bride and the bridesmaids, one of God’s ways of riddling, whereby he hides truth in plain sight.)

     My question is one of degrees, I guess. We have to “know Jesus” - that’s the light, yes? The oil. If we’re going to advise others, what distance is the safe distance from which to follow after the Lord? Remember, he does return “in fire” (and with his angels). The parable of the wheat and tares is obviously his returning during man’s armageddon fire. Revelation chapter 16, verses, thirteen through sixteen, the gathering to armageddon having gathered. So one gathering is preferable to the other? As a believer, the first resurrection superior to the second.

     The other side of the coin, I guess, is degrees - during - the millennium. I simply cannot believe in any instantaneous transformation. So do the degrees before the catching away carry over into the millennium? ..I’m very inclined to believe they do. That they must. There’s a few who think God wipes the slate, the memory completely clean as to this life. But what logic is there to that? This has been God’s program, creation process, from the beginning. It’s not ‘oh my something went wrong, now to rescue and wipe the memories of it out.. Contraire! The armageddon “smoke of it shall rise forever and ever..” And just how does it rise forever when ultimately there’s a total, universal regenesis? The “regeneration” greek word “palin/again-genesis” palingenesis. A regenesis, a “furious burning of elements”, the total gehenna fast forwarded.

     As opposed to this slow motion gehenna that is life as we presently know it, the crucible, laver and sieve, that continues until one of two vivifications. The first being at Jesus’ return. The second being after GWT judgment ‘day’, at the made new/new heavens and earth event, the palingenesis, the New Genesis!

     Will there be studying and learning during “the” millennium (that precedes GWT ‘day’).. The intellect having been made new, but still at its own learning stage?

     We know there is Jerusalem during the millennium, as there comes to be a gathering against her after the adversary (&co) are released from stewing in his/their own darkness “after the thousand years”/after the millennium, the Sabbath rest from the adversary’s presence.

     Which in turn proves there are mortal survivors of the apocalypse, for where do the ones he gathers against the millennial Jerusalem come from?

     As we know fire consumes them. This is where a second mention of a fiery lake occurs (first one is at armageddon). It’s only after this that the resurrection of all those that are dead occurs.

     But before all that, are we believers students during the millennium? And in a sort of internship? ..As preparation to rather intense service during GWT judgment ‘day’? Service called reigning, for we will be doing his works during this long day of all things progressing to closure, and of course, the completing of Jesus “drawing all to himself” Jn.12:32. The wearing of crowns of Life, not metal.

     The parable of Lazarus and the rich man - portraying INITIAL - inner - conditions of some during GWT judgment ‘day’ ..Which is an “8th day” the “last great day” at the conclusion of which God says “Behold! I make aLL new!” Greek pas, all. Not all things.. though that’s true too lol (Rev.21:5). And since Rev.22 follows the total, universal ReGenesis, by which death dies, some of its narrative is obviously spoken outside of the revelation vision - also portraying INITIAL conditions of some during that last great day of completing all discernment and drawing/maturing toward the greatest harvest, the grape harvest, 1Cor.15:24,28; Rev.21:5; 2Pet.3:12-13.

     And don’t the ancient Fall holy days outline that long second advent of the Lord? Like the Spring ones so perfectly did his first brief advent.. Lev.23

            10days/1000yrs later,

             5 days/500yrs later,

GospeL Verses ~ John 8:21-32

21 - So he said to the Pharisees again, “I’m going away, and you’ll look for me, and you’ll die in your sin [hamartia - missing the mark). (ThuS rise still missing the mark.) Where I’m going, you cannot come.” 22 So they said, “Will he kill himself? Since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?” 23 He said, “You are from below [kato - down, below, downwards, lower, under, less]. I am from above [ano - up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region]. You are of this world, I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” (Thus, logically? Will rise still in their sins, still wild weeds, in the resurrection that is “after *the* thousand years”/millennium, and is “into the judgment”.. Which explains why there is the conditions portrayed in the rich man and Lazarus parable and in the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22 - as initial conditions for some, when entering the judgment.) 25 So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus answered, “I’m who I have told you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I hear from him.” 27 They didn’t understand that he had been talking to them about the Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you’ll know I am he” [the promised one, originally promised in Eden, which is why there are the ancient “son” myths and mother and babe of so many lands) “and that I do nothing on my own, but speak just as the Father has taught me”. [“Taught” - didรกskล - from daล - learn, to teach, literally "cause to learn, instruct, impart knowledge, disseminate information. (Cause to know.)] 29 “And he who sent me is with me. He’s not left me alone, for I always do what’s pleasing to him.” (What is pleasing.) 30 As he was saying these things, many believed in him. 31 So Jesus said to those who were believing, “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples. 32 And you will know the truth. And the truth will set you free.”

                  ~ Colossians 3:1-11 ~

1 - If then you have been raised up with Christ (up out of the waters of baptism, born again) seek and pursue the things that are above [ano - up, above, up to the top, up to the brim, things above, heaven, the heavenly region from ana - upwards] where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on those things (the kingdom) the things that are of above, not upon the things that are of earth (worldly). 3 For the old you has died, and the new you (God’s best blueprint of the truest you) is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ - who is our life - appears, then also shall the new us appear together [syn - joined, knit close together] with him in [en - in, on, at, by, with] glory [doxa - honor, renown, glory, a divine quality]. (If life had no option of choice, what would we be? So instead of a total ant farm, it’s this all important contrast first, life as we presently know it, bringing about total ‘herd’ immunity. Life as we now know it will continue during GWTJ ‘day’ [aion] for those who rise aFter “the” millennium. And at the conclusion is the second vivification - Rev.21:5 - but translators changed “all” (greek pas) into “all things”.] 5 Let perish therefore what is selfish and self seeking/carnal in you - sexual immorality, impurity [akatharsรญa - from A - not, and katharรณs - clean because unmixed, pure], strong (negative and hysterical) emotions [pathos], bad and immoral desires, and covetousness/avarice which is idolatry [eidรณlolatria - image worship]. 6 On account of these the wrath (cause and effect) of God is coming. 7 In these things all once walked, when living in them. 8 But now you must put them all away -  anger, rage, malice, slander, and indecent talk. 9 Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with such practices. 10 And you have put on the new self, which is BEING renewed in knowledge, in the likeness of its creator. [Who “is Love” 1Jn.4:8, “steadfast love” Lam.3:22.] 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew/Hebrew, civilized or barbarian, bondslave or free, but all and in all is Christ.

GospeL Verses ~ Matthew 11:20-30

20 - Then he (Jesus) began to scold the cities where most of his mighty works were being done, because they did not repent. [Metanoeรณ - to turn, change one's mind or purpose, change the inner person to acceptance of the will of God. (Instead of being “seated as though in the temple as God”/highest power deciding good from not good, 2Thes.2:3,4,11. Verse (2Thes.2) 9 is the individual, the a.c., the one pinpointed by Rev.13:13, but who also not yet at the time pinpointing an individual, but an office was pinpointed by 13:13, the first seal 6 event - which seal is described as its fuLL effects first to very last - the first seal 6 event carried out by a triple six, imagine that. Six being the number of man. But! 2Thes.3,4,11 is noT due to the 13:13 office so much as another entity, one with modern wonders and “miracles to mislead” and whose “strong delusion” of “seating man/anthropos as in the temple as God”/highest power has caused western civilization once called Christendom, to “fall away”. Which power also of course puts forth a prophecy.)] 21 “Woe Chorazin! Woe Bethsaida! If the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have long ago repented in sackcloth and ashes! 22 But I tell you, it will be easier in the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be honored as though up to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. (The grave. Cities do not go to a hazy, dark dungeon of languishing for millennia. They either are, or they are not.) For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, that city would have remained to this day. 24 But I tell you, it will be easier in the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.” 25 Then Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and outstanding (privileged?) and you reveal them to children. 26 Yes, Father, for such is your will. 27 All have been given over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and whomever the Son chooses to reveal him to. 28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am humble and gentle, and your heart will find rest. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

                  ~ Romans 7:1-4 ~

1 - Do you not know, brethren, for I speak now to those who know the law, that the law is binding on a person only as long as they live? 2 For a married woman, if her husband dies, is released from the law of marriage. 3 But if she lives with another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. Yet if her husband dies, she is free from the law and contract of marriage to him, and if then she marries another man she is not an adulteress. 4 In the same way, my friends, you have died to the contract of the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another contract (grace to fulfil the law above the minimum of self effort’s ability) and are now married to he who has been raised from the dead. So that we we may bear fruit for God. (For a good tree bears good fruit, Mt.7:17. And “the fruit of the Spirit/Presence (of God with us) is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such there is no law” Gal.5:22-23.)

7 - And when the thousand years are up (“the” millennium) Satan will be released from his prison 8 and he will go out to deceive the nations that are of the four reaches of earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle! (Hmmm.. does history repeat.. like widening ripples in a pond? The previous being Rev.16:13-16?) Their number is like the sand of the sea, 9 and they marched up over the wide expanse of the earth and surrounded the camp and the beloved city. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them (second mention of a lake of fire, first mention coincided with Jesus’ return to begin his long second advent). 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were (two institutions of mankind) and they will be tormented day and night to the ages of the ages. (To great ‘day’ of judgment, which includes discernment, and surely? closure of all things, tying up of every loose end. For humans, it sounds like resurrection in “the resurrection of judgment” occurs pretty soon after this Rev.20 lake of fire event.)

        ~ 1 Timothy 5:1-7 ~

1 - Don’t use harsh words (Timothy, leader of the group, ‘churches’ were home groups) when you correct an older man, but talk to him as if he were your father. Talk to younger men as if they were your brothers, 2 treat older women as you would your mother, and treat younger women with all purity as you would your own sisters. 3 Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. 5 The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. 6 But [literal word for word] the living only for self indulgence is dead even while living. (Surely widow oR widower, or anyone.) 7 Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame.
