Root Word Of Cemetery

Just a little note here of something I came across in a book I was reading.. I couldn't find many online references to it, but the best one is the first line in the third paragraph of the link below. I never realized it before, but it seems the word cemetery comes from a Greek root meaning "a sleeping place". The book I was reading said the early Christians built the catacombs as sleeping rooms for those who had passed on. This set me to wondering (more so) if the first Christians did not view death as a sort of wandering on, or other form or dimension of life, as most do today, but rather as a sleeping, while awaiting the resurrection "at the last day" as described in 1 Thessalonians 4 (13-18). Christians chose these "sleeping places" in lieu of the cremation used by other faiths around them, especially as they may have believed the "last day" of the resurrection of the body, and the return of Christ, was in the not very distant future. [Of course there's nothing wrong with cremation, otherwise anyone perishing in fire would be lost, which would suggest limitation to an all powerful God.]

The Alphabet Of Creation

All the world and all of matter is nothing more than many different combinations of the 101 elements. In the same way - all novels and great literary works are made up of the many different combinations of the letters of the alphabet. We wouldn't think these came about randomly, would we? Shake the letters up in a box and they'll never compose themselves into a Shakespearean play. It's against all odds, and would take a great deal of blind faith to believe in the possibility.

"Read and be Blessed!"

The Book of Revelation/Apocalypse is unique in that it opens with a blessing declared for anyone who reads it, hears it and heeds it.. (first chapter, verse three). Then at the end of the book in the last chapter, verse seven, it repeats the blessing.. Makes me think we are supposed to read it and understand it! That we would be blessed to be able to "heed" it...

Prophecy Is A Repeating Pattern

In Daniel 9, verse 27, the word used to say "covenant" is Strong's Hebrew, #1285, which can also mean "League". (Cross-reference - In our day - Revelation 13:3 - It expired! When its head, one of its heads did not, after all sign on.. but this wound was healed, and it rose anew.)

Revelation/Apocalypse tells which Conspiracy Theory is True!

It's too bad so few people will ever understand the message! Yet, I have a hard time believing it was written for nothing.
- What's the value of understanding which nefarious conspiracy theory is actually true (if any)? Perhaps so we'll know what's reaLLy going on in the world! What strings are being pulled and what's likely to occur in the future because of it!
- Even if we don't think we need to know for ourselves, what about future generations? Will my grand children live to see days in which the bible and bible related materials are contraband? And will it be beneficial in those times for them to understand the message that is contained in the Book of Revelation / Apocalypse?
