05/10 ~ From New Testament Letters
(In the Order Believed Written)
1 - So put away all malice from yourself, and all deceit, and hypocrisy, and envy and all slander {accusation, and who is called “the accuser”?} 2 Like newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual [logikos - from logos, reason, logic; rational, reasonable] milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation [soteria - welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety] 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. 4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men, but in the sight of God, chosen and most esteemed. 5 You yourselves are living stones being built up into a spiritual house, and a holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus. 6 For it stands in Scripture - “Behold! I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen, highly esteemed, and precious. And whoever believes in him, will not be shamed.” 7 So the honor is for those who believe, but for those who don’t believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone” [kephalรฉ/head - gรณnia/corner - cornerstone, a basic and fundamental stone that joins two walls..Jesus is called the chief cornerstone; the basic part of something on which its existence, success, or truth depends] 8 and “A stone of stumbling, and rock of offense.” They disobey the word/message [logos] and so they stumble. To which they were appointed.
{All the world’s a stage - Shakespeare. There’s bound to be, and has to be, more than one role played out, as you let things run their course. No option to stray in Eden and humanity would be an ant farm? 1Tim.4:10, “God is savior of all.” He is Life and “is Perfect”.. so imperfection is this entropy, a slow burn/gehenna but an all important contrast.}
