10-07 - LUKE 19 41-48

paraphrased ‘enter the story’

    πŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️

41 - And as he drew near and saw the city (Jerusalem) he wept over it, 42 and he said “Would that you, even you, had known on this day! The things that make for peace! But now they’re hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come, when enemies will set up a barricade round about you, surround you, and hem you in on every side. 44 And you’ll be torn down, level to the ground. You and your children within {and after?} you. And in you, they will not leave oNe stone upon another” {here is the “70 weeks gap”, Lk.19:41,44 as Dn.12:11(12), which is also 1Cor.3:16, surely?} “because you didn’t know the time of your visitation.”

     45 And he went into the temple and began to drive out those who were selling. 46 And he said, “It’s written! ‘My house is a house of prayer!’ But you’ve made it a den of thieves!”

     47 He taught daily in the temple, and (the leaders/authorities) chief priests, scribes and principal men of the people, were seeking to destroy him, 48 but they couldn’t find how to do it, for the people were seeking him out and listening to him every day.

MATTHEW 21 10-22

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

     04/14 - GospeL Verses

10 - And when Jesus entered Jerusalem (riding a donkey with a crowd before and behind crying “Hosanna!” and waving palm branches) the whole city (people from all over for Passover) was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?!” 11 And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee!”

     12 Jesus entered into the temple, and drove out all who were selling and buying, by overturning the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’! But you have made it a den of thieves!”

     14 Then the blind, and the lame, came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes (leaders of the nation) saw the wonderful things he was doing, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant and offended. 16 And they said to him, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” And Jesus answered, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”

     17 And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there. 18 Then in the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves.  {No fruit.} And he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” {“Fear God!” if you are abusing others “Who cAn destroy body and soul/psyche in gehenna”/this slow fading away/entropy/crucible of imperfection, but who doesn’t! Being “savior of aLL” 1Tim.4:10.} And the fig tree withered at once.

     20 When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once like that!?” 21 And Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you’ll not only do what’s been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. 22 And whatever you ask for in prayer, you will receive. If you have faith.” {Faith will pray God’s will, love.}
