1 - I watched as the Lamb broke open the first of the seven seals (on the scroll, which is the vision). Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow [toxon - a bow - used once in the scripture, from tiktรณ - bring forth, produce, beget, yield]. And given to him was a crown, and he rode out conquering, and to conquer. (To keep conquering!) [Crown - Rev.14:14, Mt.27:29.]
[Col.2:15 - He disarmed principalities and powers, having made an open show of his triumph over them.]
(The rest of the seals - elements of the age of the growing Christian era.. then decline - are the world’s response and course.)
3 When the Lamb broke the second seal, I heard the second living being say, “Come!” 4 And there went forth another horse, fiery red, and to its rider was granted to take peace from the Earth, so that one another they shall slay. And was given to him a great [megas] sword (weapon). [Hello?] 5 And when the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” Then I looked and saw a black horse, and its rider held in his hand a pair of scales. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures say “a ration [choenix - a dry measure (day’s serving) of less than a quart] of wheat for a day’s wages, three measures of barley [krithแธ – barley, the grain eaten by the common person, i.e. "poor man's bread" as opposed to using the more expensive grain, wheat. Barley was used "principally as food for horses"] (three measures) for a day’s wages. But harm not the oil and wine. (Luxuries?)
7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and the grave (mass?) followed him. And to him was given authority over a fourth of the earth, to slay with sword, famine and pestilence, and by wild beasts of the earth. [Beasts in prophecy are usually governments.] (The pale rider.) 9 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls [psyxแธ - from psyxล - to breathe, blow, root of psyche, corresponds to the OT phรกgล - I eat, translated “soul”] of those who had been slain because of the word of God and for being faithful in their testimony. (Like the blood of Abel which “cried out to God”. Not individual personalities imprisoned under the altar for millennia. Lol.)
10 And they were crying in a loud voice, saying, "Until when, O Lord, holy and true, will you judge [krรญnล - bringing to trial, trying of fact in a court of law, originally meant "separate” so Homer, of Ceres separating the grain from the chaff (๐ฎgrain from chaff is one plant - the ultimate end - Greek “tel” - “end-aim” of God, is the winnowing of “all” - Greek “pas” - all. Those winnowed during this brief lifetime will go through the open “door” of “the” millennium, which leads to serving, called reigning, during the Lord’s long second advent. For surely, doing the works Jesus does, is surely reigning.
All others will be winnowed during the second half (actually last quarter, Rev.20:11-13) of his second advent - exAct SAME process (surely!) — “Tel” is the root of “telescope” a great word to portray how God’s process unfolds in widening scopes until reaching full scope at the “end-aim”. The more study of the scripture, the more certain we are. Maybe the Kingdom is like widening ripples in a pond?)
10 And they were crying in a loud voice, saying, "Until WHEN, O Lord, holy and true, will you judge [krรญnล - bring to trial] and avenge [ekdikeรณ - give justice over, defend, avenge, vindicate, penalize] our blood from those dwelling upon the earth?" 11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to rest a little while longer, until the complete number of other believers are killed, as they had been. (Aha! What is the judgment that comes after believers are killed via the whole triple six system? NoT a mythical ‘hell’. [Dn.12:11-12, Mt.24:1-2 “see all this?” =‘s 45 days can’t buy or sell, with the last “ten days” escalating? Rev.2:10]
12 I watched as the Lamb broke open the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as sackcloth, and the whole/full? moon became as red as blood. (Reflecting red from fire/s? I believe the seals are described as a blend of their beginning (first) and ending (last) effects, veiling what this sixth seal is. (And what this opening, first event was.) The great [mega] sword (weapon) given to the rider on the fiery red horse of war ..surely? See 7:1,3!)
13 The stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from a tree shaken (blown) by a great [mega] wind. 14 The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up. And all mountains and islands were moved from out of their place.
The seals are elements of the age of the vision.
