01-26 - Ro-4 Mt-9

πŸ—️s New Testament & Bible prophecy study, verses paraphrased [ ] references { } thots

 • Romans 4:14-18  Matthew 9:1-8 and ACTS 15:1-21 separately

            ☀️ Romans 4:14-18

14 - For if it’s following of the law that makes one an HEIR, then faith is nullified and void. And the promise is empty. 15 For the law brings wrath. {Cause and effect!} If there was no law, then, no one could be said to be a lawbreaker..

     16 That’s why the promise and gift {of enduring Life, immortality/perfection.. or rather, perfection/immortality for God is Life, and “is perfect” Mt.5:48} depends on faith {knowing, concretely, by experience} in order that the promise may stand on grace. [Charis - favor, kindness, blessing; the Greek xΓ‘ris "grace" is as the Hebrew (OT) KanΓ‘ - "grace, extension-toward". Both refer to God freely extending Himself (His favor, kindness, blessing) reaching (inclining) to people because He is disposed to bless (be near) them - from biblehub dot com’s interlinear.]

     The promise is guaranteed {“sealed” notarized, totally official, guaranteed} to all Abraham’s offspring {which offspring is reckoned as Jesus, “seed Jesus” - Gal.3:16} not only to the adherents of the law, but also to the ones who share the faith he had. [Before circumcision, a sign and seal of Abraham’s faith, see previous verses.] {Self first and foremost to be removed from humanity and each person. Because it can never work. Logic. We see what sort of world it brings.}

     Father Abraham, is father of all! 17 As it’s written, “I have made you a father of nations” [Gen.17:5]. And he walked before God/in his Presence, in whom he believed. In He who gives life to the dead, and calls into existence the things that don’t (yet) exist. 18 In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of nations, as he had been told - “So shall your offspring be.” [Abraham lived in the desert, and one starry night when Abraham was an old man, God told him, “I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the heavens” and “I will make you a father of a multitude of nations”.]

     [Galatians 3:16 and 29 - “The promises were made to Abraham and to his seed (offspring). Not ‘to offsprings’ as many, but referring ‘to one - to your offspring’ which is Christ.” (THE seed ..implanted.) “And if YOU are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, and an HEIR according to promise.”] {And not according to works/earning. Life is a gift, not earned as though God ‘owed’ us. GOD/Life/Love, shall be “all, in all” 1Cor.15:28(22-28) with Mt.13:33, key word 3.}

            πŸŒ™ Matthew 9:1-8

1 - And getting into a boat Jesus crossed back over to his own town. 2 And some people carried to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son, your sins are forgiven.”

     3 And some of the scribes {considered authorities} thought to theirselves, “This man is blaspheming!” 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why think evil [ponΓ©ros- evil, wicked, bad, malicious] in your hearts? 5 For what’s easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or, ‘Rise up and walk’? 6 But so you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” he said to the paralytic, “Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” 7 And the man rose, picked up his bed/mat, and went home. 8 When the people saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to a man. {And from whom the blessing/miracle/sign had come}.

MARK 2 1-12

     07/13 - GospeL Verses

1 - Later after he went home to Capernaum, after some days, it was reported that he was there, 2 and many came and were gathered together, so there was no room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word {the message, “logos - reasoning” God’s reasoning} to them.

     3 And then came four men bringing to him a paralytic. 4 And when they couldn’t get near because of the crowd, they climbed up with the bed, and removed part of the roof above him, and when they had made a big enough opening, they let down the bed with the paralytic.

     5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son! Your sins are forgiven!” 6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there thinking, 7 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?!”

     8 But Jesus, perceiving this, said to them, “Why do you question in your hearts? 9 What’s easier? To say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven’? Or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But so you may know, the Son of Man, has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, rise up, take up your bed, and go home.” 12 And the man got up, picked up his bed and went out as they all watched.

     And they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 2:1-12

1 - When he went home to Capernaum some days later, the news of it spread. 2 Soon, so many were gathered together, there was no more room, not even at the door of the house. And he was telling the message to them, 3 when four men came carrying a paralytic upon his bed. 4 And when they couldn’t get near because of the crowd, they removed shingles in the roof and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed to Jesus. 5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven!”

     6 Now there were some scribes of the law sitting there, and they were thinking, 7 “How is it this man talks like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins? ..But God alone?” 8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he said, 9 “Which do you think is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But so you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” he said to the paralytic, 11 “I tell you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” 12 And the man got up, picked up his bed, and made his way out and went home. And they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

From New Testament Letters

     (In the Order Believed Written)

                ~ Hebrews 10:8-13 ~

8 - When he said (the Son to the Father) “You have not desired, nor taken any pleasure in sacrifices and offerings, nor burnt offerings and sin offerings” these being offered according to the law (under Israel’s contract of promises - which shaLL be fulfilled(?) on Israel’s part, I mean, God of course always upholding his part.) 9 He added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. (The first was in order to bring him forth. After that “there is no longer jew nor greek/gentile.) 10 The premise being that we have been sanctified (cured of our dis-ease and some to most of its cause, thus far) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. 11 For every (consecutive) priest stood daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins [hamartia - missing the mark]. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies are made as a footstool under his feet.
