MARK 1 21-34

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

     07/08 - GospeL Verses

21 - Jesus, with his disciples, went into Capernaum, and on the Sabbath went into the synagogue and was teaching. 22 The people were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one {very learned} who had authority, and not as the scribes.

23 There was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 “What have you to do with us!? Jesus of Nazareth! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” 25 But Jesus said, “Be silent, and come out of him!” 26 And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out. 27 And they were all amazed, and questioned among theirselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!” 28 And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee.

29 Then he left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Immediately they told him Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, 31 so he came and took her by the hand, helped her up, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began to make a meal for them.

32 That same evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. 33 So many, the whole city was gathered together at the door! 34 And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons and would not let them speak, because they knew who he was.

LUKE 4 31-44

 a paraphrased ‘enter the story’

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️reading & study πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

       07/07 - GospeL Verses

31 - Jesus went to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and he was teaching on the Sabbath. 32 The people were astonished at his teaching, for his words were skillful and spoken with authority. 33 There was a man in the synagogue who had {was contaminated with} the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Ha! What have you to do with us?! You Jesus of Nazareth! Have you come to destroy us?! I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35 But Jesus said, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out, and the man suffered no injury.

36 Amazed, the people were saying, “What is this? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!” 37 And so reports and word of him went out to all places in the region.

38 After that, he left the synagogue and went to Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, so they appealed to him on her behalf. 39 And he went to her and rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately she rose and began to prepare for them a meal.

40 Later on, when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases, brought them to him. And he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them. 41 And demons also came out of many, crying, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and wouldn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ, the Messiah.

42 When day came, he went out to a lonely place. But the people looked for him and found him. They were urging him to stay with them, 43 but he said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well. For this is why I was sent.”44 And so in those days, he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

     07/05 - GospeL Verses

1 - Three days later, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding along with his disciples. 3 When they ran out of wine, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have run out of wine.” 4 And he said, “Woman  {Mom? lol} what does this have to do with me? My hour hasn’t yet come.” 5 His mother said to the workers, “Do whatever he says.”

6 There were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rite of purification, each one able to hold twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then he said, “Draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” And so they did. 9 And when the master of the wedding party tasted the water turned to wine, and didn’t know where it came from, though the ones who had drawn the water knew, the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first! And when people have drank freely, then they serve the inferior wine. But you have kept the best wine until last!” 11 This, at Cana in Galilee, was the first of the signs Jesus did, revealing his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother, brothers and disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.

JOHN 6 22-29

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️ 02/22 - GospeL Verses πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

22 - On the next day the crowd that remained on the other side of the sea (of Galilee) saw that there had been only one boat there, and that Jesus hadn’t been in the boat with his disciples, who had gone on alone. 23 Other boats from Tiberias (the west side and shore) came near where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24 So when the crowd saw Jesus wasn’t there, nor his disciples, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum, looking for him.

25 When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”26 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you, you’re looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. 27 Don’t work for the food that perishes, but for the food that doesn’t fade to enduring life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” [His Spirit/Presence.] 28 Then they said, “What must we do? To be doing the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered, “This is the work of God - that you believe in he whom he has sent.”

JOHN 6 14-21

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️ 02/20 - GospeL Verses πŸ•Š️πŸƒ

14 - When the people saw the miracle that Jesus had done, they said to one another, “This must be the Prophet who’s to come into the world!”

15 Seeing then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus went away to the mountain alone. 16 And when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, 17 got into a boat and started back across to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus hadn’t yet come back.

18 The lake became rough because a strong wind was blowing. 19 When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the water toward them, and they were afraid. 20 But he called out to them, “It is I, don’t be afraid.” 21 Then they were happy and took him on board, and immediately the were at land, to where they had been going.

JOHN 2 1-12

   πŸƒπŸ•Š️01/04 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

1 - On the next day, the third day (says John, John’s third day following, and with Jesus) there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding as well. 3 When the wine ran out, Mary said to him, “They have run out of wine.” 4 And Jesus said, “Woman? What’s that have to do with me, my hour has not yet come.” 5 Mary said to those serving, “Do whatever he tells you to.” 6 There were six large stone water jars sitting there for the Jewish practice of purification {frequent washing}, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the jars with water.” And so they filled them, right up to the brim. 8 And Jesus said, “Now draw some out and take it to the manager of the banquet.” And so they did. 9 When the manager tasted the water that was now wine, he didn’t know where it came from, though the ones who had drawn it knew, he called for the bridegroom, 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drank freely, then they bring out the poor wine! But you have kept the best wine until now!” 11 This was a first of Jesus’ signs (we saw him do) at Cana in Galilee, and we witnessed his glory. And they believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and brothers and disciples. And they stayed there for a few days.

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 2:1-12

1 - When he went home to Capernaum some days later, the news of it spread. 2 Soon, so many were gathered together, there was no more room, not even at the door of the house. And he was telling the message to them, 3 when four men came carrying a paralytic upon his bed. 4 And when they couldn’t get near because of the crowd, they removed shingles in the roof and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed to Jesus. 5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven!”

6 Now there were some scribes of the law sitting there, and they were thinking, 7 “How is it this man talks like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins? ..But God alone?” 8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he said, 9 “Which do you think is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But so you may know the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” he said to the paralytic, 11 “I tell you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” 12 And the man got up, picked up his bed, and made his way out and went home. And they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

8 - When he said (the Son to the Father) “You have not desired, nor taken any pleasure in sacrifices and offerings, nor burnt offerings and sin offerings” these being offered according to the law (under Israel’s contract of promises - which shaLL be fulfilled(?) on Israel’s part, I mean, God of course always upholding his part.) 9 He added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. (The first was in order to bring him forth. After that “there is no longer jew nor greek/gentile.) 10 The premise being that we have been sanctified (cured of our dis-ease and some to most of its cause, thus far) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. 11 For every (consecutive) priest stood daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins [hamartia - missing the mark]. 12 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time until his enemies are made as a footstool under his feet.

11 - But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent, one not built by man, that is not of this world, 12 he entered once for all into the holy place, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus having obtained an eternal redemption. 13 For if the sprinkling of the blood of goats and bulls, and ashes of a heifer sanctified and purified, 14 how much more the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself (a lamb) without blemish, purify our conscience, from dead works to serve the living God.
