Romans 9 19-26

02/14 ~ From New Testament Letters

πŸ•Š️ (In the Order Believed Written)

         Paul’s Letter To The Romans

19 - You might say to me, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” {Concerning those he doesn’t yet call.} 20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will the clay say to the potter, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Has the potter no right to his clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel as sacred and another as common? 22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath [orge - passion] {cause and effect/truth like gravity, isn’t made to be broken} and so to make known his power, has endured with much patience, vessels of wrath going to ruin [apΓ³leia - ruin, loss, destruction] 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory upon/in vessels of mercy, which he makes ready for {widespread/full scope?) revelation/revealing [doxa - glory] 24 which he has called us, not from the Hebrews/Jews only, but also from the Gentiles/nations. 25 As indeed he says in Hosea, “Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and she [nations] who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’” 26 “Yes in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons and daughters of the living God.’”

GospeL Verses ~ Mark 1:21-34

21 - And in Capernaum, on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. 22 And the people were astonished, for he taught as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 23 And suddenly there was in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” 25 But Jesus rebuked him, “Be silent, and come out of him!” he said. 26 And the unclean spirit, convulsed the man, cried out with a loud voice, and then came out of him. 27 And the people were all amazed, so they said among themselves, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!” 28 And at once his fame spread all throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.

29 After that Jesus left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and they told him about her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand and sat her up, and the fever left her, and she got up and prepared them a meal.

32 And that evening as the sun was going down they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. 33 And the whole town was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.

                ~ Hebrews 9:11-14 ~

11 - But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent, one not built by man, that is not of this world, 12 he entered once for all into the holy place, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus having obtained an eternal redemption. 13 For if the sprinkling of the blood of goats and bulls, and ashes of a heifer sanctified and purified, 14 how much more the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself (a lamb) without blemish, purify our conscience, from dead works to serve the living God.
