  GospeL Verses ~ John 21:7-15

7 - The disciple whom Jesus loved (this is John, how he referred to himself at least twice, Jesus’ close friend) said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work/fishing, and he jumped into the water. 8 The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards off. 9 When they got out on land, they saw a small fire in place, with fish laid upon it, and bread. 10 Jesus said, “Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went out and dragged the net full of fish ashore, a hundred and fifty three of them. And although there were so many, and they were large fish, the net didn’t tear. 12 Jesus said, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” For they knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and also the fish. 14 This was now the third time the disciples saw Jesus after he was raised from the dead. 15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than all this?” Peter said, “Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

REVELATION STUDY 18 9-24

A key to the revelation vision is 13:1 - does a literal beastly creature with seven heads rise out of the sea of humanity? I’m highly doubting it. But! Does it have a literal meaning? Or is it written for entertainment purposes only? Rev.1:3 - Blessed is the reading [anaginóskó - knowing certainly, knowing again, to read] and (blessed is) the hearing [akouó - to hear and listen, root of acoustic surely?] (to) the words [logos - reasoning expressed in words, from lego - speaking to a conclusion] the prophecy [prophéteia] and (the) keeping [téreó - watching over, guarding, observing, keeping intact] what is written [graphó] for the season [kairos - season, opportune time] is near [eggus - near in place or time]. — So, the opportune time is always near, and the images used are not always literal, but their meaning is. 

18:9 - And the KINGS of earth, who committed sexual immorality (were in bed with $ity Babylon) and lived in luxury with her, will weep and mourn when they see the smoke of her burning. 10 They will stand afar off, in fear of ‘her’ torment, saying, “Alas! You great city! Mighty city! Babylon! Woe! In a single hour your judgment has come!” 11 And the MERCHANTS of the earth weep and lament, for no one buys their cargo anymore, 12 the cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, pearls, fine linen, purple cloths, silk and scarlet cloths, all sorts of scented woods, all articles of ivory, of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble, 13 cinnamon, spices, incense, myrrh, frankincense, oil, wine, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and the bodies and souls [psuché - breath, souls] (lives? of) man/anthropos/persons. 14 “The delicacies [opóra - late summer, ripe fruit] for which your soul longed has gone from you, and all your luxuries and your splendors are lost to you, not to be found again.” 15 The merchants of these wares, who profited from her, will stand afar off, in fear of her torment, weeping and lamenting aloud, 16 “Woe, woe, for the Great City that was clothed in the finest linen. In purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold. And with precious stones, and pearls! 17 But in a single hour, all this wealth, has been laid waste” (Rev.17:12,16,18). And all pilots, all sailors, all voyaging/traveling, and all who trade, stood afar off 18 and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, “Oh what city was like this great city!?” 19 And they threw dust and ashes on their heads as they wept and lamented, “Woe! woe! The great city! In which were made rich through her costliness, all those having ships to sea.” (When the vision was given, big business was done by sea). “For, in one hour, has come the desolation.” (Rev.17:12,16). 20 Be of good cheer over her, O heaven, saints, apostles and prophets, for God has decided judgment for you against [ek or ex - from, from out of, from the interior outward] (of) her.” 21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great miller’s stone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will you Babylon the great city be thrown down! With [horméma - a rush, impulse, violence]. And you will be found no more. 22 The sound of harpists and musicians, of flute players and trumpeters, will not be heard in you any more. Not a craftsman of any sort will be found in you any more, nor the sound of the mill/factory/industry. 23 The light of a lamp will not shine in you any more, and the voice of bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you. For your merchants were the great ones of the earth. And by your sorcery [pharmakeia - the use of medicine, drugs or spells, sorcery, enchantment, magic; from pharmakeuó - to administer drugs, drug related sorcery, magical arts (by which)] all nations were deceived. (Including by a false prophecy, which is implied by there being a “false prophet”.)

GospeL Verses ~ John 20:30-21:6

30 - Now Jesus did many other miraculous things in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you will have life in his name.

     21:1 - Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (the east side of Lake Galilee). 2 Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together, 3 when Peter said, “I am going fishing.” And they said, “We will go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but after fishing all night they caught nothing.

     4 Just as day was breaking, there was Jesus standing on the shore, yet the disciples didn’t know it was him. 5 But he said, “Children, do you have any fish?” And they answered him, “No.” 6 He said, “Cast the net off the right side of the boat, and you’ll find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul the net in, because of the great number of fish.

19 Later that same day (still) on the first day of the week, the disciples were behind a locked door, for fear of the leaders, when Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 20 And he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus again said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” 22 And he blew breath toward them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 (I cannot understand this verse 23, the Spirit is not leading. I’m not sure if the translations of the Greek words are accurate.) The usual translation - If you (apostles) forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”  (Forgive and forget? As in when you forgive, forget? The scripture is infallible as originally written, and as to the Truth the scripture reveals, but some errors of translation have definitely occurred. This was spoken to all the apostles, none above another.) 24 Now one of the twelve, Thomas, called the Twin, wasn’t with them that day when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and touch them and and place my hand into his side wound, I will never believe.” 26 Then eight days later, his disciples were inside again, but this time Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Touch here, and see my hands, and put your hand to my side. Don’t disbelieve, Thomas, but believe.” (Nobody uses the phrase doubting Thomas any more?) 28 Thomas answered, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

And when he opened to us the Scriptures?” 33 So they got up at once and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the eleven disciples and those who were with them. 34 Who they were saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen! He has appeared to Simon!” 35 Then the two told what had happened on the way to Emmaus, and how they recognized Jesus when he broke the bread. 9 For I (Paul) am the least of the apostles and I don’t deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But it’s by God’s grace that I am what I am, and his grace to and in me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than they all, and yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11 And then, whether it is they or me, this is what we preach, and what you believed. 12 And if it is proclaimed that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you now say there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then even Christ has not risen. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our message is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses! For we have testified that God raised him from the dead, if in fact he didn’t, and if the dead will not in fact be raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is of no use or value, and you are still in your sins [hamartia - missing the mark]. (We will of course miss the mark of perfection, hopefully only in ‘small’ ways and not in huge consequential ways, until Jesus returns for his long second advent and the following kingdom of paradise/perfection fully upon earth.)

           Luke 24:13-29

13 Later that day (day after Sabbath) two of them were walking to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, 14 and they were talking with each other about all that had happened. 15 And as they were talking together, Jesus himself drew near and was walking with them, 16 but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him. 17 And he said to them, “What is this conversation that you’re having with each other as you walk along?” They stopped walking, and looking sad, 18 one of them, Cleopas, answered, “You must be the only visitor to Jerusalem” (during week of Passover, also called Unleavened Bread) “who hasn’t heard the things that have happened there during these days!” 19 And he said, “What things?” And they answered, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet and mighty before God and all the people, in deeds and words, 20 and how our chief priests and leaders delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified!” (Crucified - executed the Roman way.) 21 “But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel.” (The redemption is far greater. And wider.) “And besides, it is the third day since this all happened, 22 and, some women of our company amazed us. For they were at the tomb early this morning, 23 but didn’t find his body. And they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels. Who said he is alive! 24 Then some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, and they didn’t see him either.” 25 Then Jesus said, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!” (Don’t tell us prophecy literally happens!) 26 “Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things? 15 - Those who accompanied Paul brought him as far as Athens, and after Paul said to tell Silas and Timothy to travel to him as soon as possible, they departed. 16 And while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was troubled when he saw how full the city was of idols. (That at best do no one any good.) 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and also in the marketplace, each day with those who happened to be there. 18 Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers conversed with him. And some were saying, “What does this babbler wish to say?” And some others said, “He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities”—because he was talking about Jesus and the resurrection. 19 And they brought him along to the Areopagus, (Mar’s Hill) saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? 20 For you bring some strange things to our ears. We wish to know therefore what these things mean.” 21 Now the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there would spend their time in the hearing and telling of something new. 22 So Paul said, “Persons of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your devotion, I found also an altar with this inscription - ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this is what I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t live in temples made by men, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needs anything, since he himself gives to all life, and breath, and all things for life. 26 And he made *from one man* every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed season and age, and boundary, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. And he has given assurance to all, by raising him from the dead.” 32 Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some ridiculed, but others said, “We will hear you again about this.” 33 So Paul went on his way. 34 But some joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius a frequenter of the Areopagus and a woman named Damaris and some others with them.

     Very Brief Outline of Acts:

Jesus returns to where he was with the Father before his advent/visit (his brief first one).

The Holy Spirit/Presence of God is poured out on the believers who were in Jerusalem on the late Spring holy day of Pentecost. Peter speaks, there are 3000 new believers that day.

The good news message spreads, Peter is invited and goes to a Roman’s house and all believe. The first record of non Hebrew believers (besides likely some on Pentecost).

     Persecution breaks out.. jail. stoning. Pharisee Saul leads the persecution, but on his way to Damascus with papers for arrests, Jesus makes himself seen but is so bright Paul falls to the ground and is blinded. After two days he is healed and is a believer, and soon is called Paul. He wrote many (to most) of the New Testament letters, but spent a few years (it seems to me) exclusively listening to the Lord. He established many ‘churches’ in what’s called three missionary journeys, and met and worked with Mark and Luke, and quite a few others. (Luke wrote this Book of Acts.) His fourth journey is to Rome to trial as a prisoner. There’s a shipwreck on the way.. He wrote many of his letters while in prison and under ‘house’ arrest.

    𝚂𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚑𝚛𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚍               

When putting this schedule together, I had no idea of how prophecy (and afterlife theory) is impacted by the #8, but eight comes up a lot in this reading schedule, at least lately. 🤷🏼‍♀️There are no coincidences? Also of note - to me anyway - is the number thirteen.

     Rev.18:1 - After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority. And the earth was made bright with his glory. 2 He called out in a mighty voice, “Fallen! ..Fallen! Is Babylon the Great! For she has become a dwelling place for demons! ..A haunt for every unclean spirit! ..A haunt for every unclean bird! ..A haunt for every unclean and detestable beast! 3 All nations have drank down the wine/intoxication of her waywardness, the kings of earth (are in bed with ‘her’) have committed immorality with her (17:2) and *the merchants* of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.” 4 Then I heard another loud voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people! Lest you take part in her sins! Lest you share in her plagues! 5 For her sins are heaped high as heaven. And God has remembered her iniquities.” (This verse gives me the image of her/it shaking ‘her’ fist at heaven.) 6 “Pay her what she has paid to others! And repay her double for her deeds. Yes mix a double portion for her in the cup she herself mixed. 7 As she glorified herself and lived in (ill gotten? greedy?) luxury, so give her the same measure of torment and mourning, since in her heart she says, ‘I sit as a queen! I am no widow. I will never see mourning.’ 8 For this reason her plagues will come in a single day! Death, mourning, famine. And she will be burned with fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.” (She - the false way, her forehead/psyche being all confusion.. responsible for “all” slain upon Earth. The false way is judged by its own crash and fall. Surely far more logical than thinking judgment is like a Thor throwing lightning bolts? That has never sounded logical to me. But it could happen that way. That enough becomes enough! As God’s full foreknowledge can also be considered. But I think God is letting things run their course to the last, bitter(?) drop, so that all persons that can be born, will be born. Not that he hAs to do it that way, but that he wants to.. what with having his perfect foreknowledge of all things, knows where every thing leads and goes. So knows all persons that can be born. I think his having created a cause and effect/consequences universe is what he calls ‘his wrath’. Remember, his communication has to reach all, from the ‘best’ peacemaker to the cruelest, most merciless despot or killer - great and small. And I think God loves a good riddle! Writing in codes and mysteries, to hide things in plain sight. And surely God is Life, itself, the breath, spirit and force of, and so, as life he lives through all that ever occurs.😳 Why would he put himself through all that? Quietude

 ⛅️🌴 When things get all riled up, find the quietness, and expect a blessing. Satan can see the light of the blessing coming our way and wants to block it. But God’s blessing is way stronger. Our trust and quietness, is what best receives the blessing.

Mark 15:33-47 and Luke 23:44-56

Mk.15:33 - And when the sixth hour had come (noon) there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour (3 p.m. exact hour of the temple second daily sacrifice; and on Passover - which is the preparation day for the feast, which is not eaten on Passover but on the next day, First Day of Unleavened Bread, a “Sabbath”; it’s confusing because the days begin at sunset instead of at midnight - so ninth hour/3 p.m. was the hour of the sacrifice of the Passover Lamb - Jesus is “the lamb which takes - away - the sin of the - world”). 34 And at that hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 35 And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah!” 36 And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait! Let us see if Elijah will come and take him down from the cross!” 37 But Jesus, at his last breath, uttered out a loud cry, 38 and the curtain of the temple in Jerusalem was torn in two, from top to bottom (and there was an earthquake). 39 And when the centurion, standing guard, saw how in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God.” (In an early Jesus movie, I think it was “The Greatest Story Ever Told” this line was said by John Wayne.) 40 There were also women looking on from a distance, among which was Mary Magdalene, Salome, and Mary the mother of James the younger, and of Joses. 41 When Jesus was in Galilee, they followed him and provided for him, and there were also many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem. 42 And when evening was coming, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath (second holy day in Spring holy week - “1st Unleavened Bread Day”), 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, bravely went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he had already died. And calling for the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead. 45 And when he learned from the centurion that he was, he granted the corpse to Joseph. 46 So Joseph bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. (He would have been careful to have all completed before the Sabbath began at the sun’s going down. The leaders who had plotted Jesus’ execution, would want this as well. So Jesus was in the grave as First Day of Unleavened Bread began. It clears some issues up if we understand how Passover and 1st Unleavened Bread Day were called interchangeably. And the entire Spring holy week was referred to by both names as well. Also, all three Sabbaths of the week have a “preparation day”. The importance is — seeing how perfectly Jesus’ brief first advent fulfilled the Spring holy days. And what might this imply about the Fall holy days? And his prophesied long second advent? Lev.23) 47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.

     50 There was a man named Joseph, from the Hebrew town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, 51 who had not agreed with their decision, and who was himself looking for the kingdom of God. 52 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53 Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid. 54 It was the day of preparation, and the Sabbath (of First Day of Unleavened Bread) was beginning. 55 The women who had come with him from Galilee followed, and saw the tomb where his body was laid. 56 Then they returned and (after 1st Day of U.B. Sabbath) prepared spices and ointments (which would be on ‘Friday’ - to market and preparing the herbs - Passover having been that year on what would be our Tuesday evening and Wednesday - until of course, sunset Wednesday, which began then, 1st Day of Unleavened Bread, a Sabbath - which of course is a “no work” day, so the women would wait until Thursday evening and Friday during the day, to buy and prepare the herbs. Jesus being in the grave by start of 1st Day of U.B. Then, the people went home for the ‘Passover’ meal. And Jesus rose exactly “3 nights” later as the regular weekly Sabbath was ending and the third holy day, also a Sabbath, was beginning. At sunset, remember. Sabbath of course is Saturday, not to be confused with the Christian Sunday as their/our “day of the Lord Jesus”. Thus he died as the Passover Lamb on Passover, was in the grave as 1st Unleavened Bread Day was beginning, and rose on Firstfruits, which always followed the regular weekly Sabbath. The women prepared the herbs Friday, while preparing also for the regular weekly Sabbath, because) 56 on the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

According to our calendar, Jesus was arrested Tuesday evening, died Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. and is put in the grave as the sun is/has just set. As he had said. He is then “in the grave for three days and three nights”. So he rises as the sun is/has set on Saturday. And the women come to the empty tomb, with their prepared spices, around dawn on Sunday. The reason Christianity thinks he died on a Friday is because that year it was called a preparation day for (a) Sabbath. And they equate that as being the regular weekly Sabbath, rather than the Sabbath of First Day of Unleavened Bread.

    ~ 1 Corinthians 14:1-8 ~

1 - We should let love guide us. And aLso be eager for the gifts that God gives, especially the gift of prophecy. 2 What I mean is, if you speak languages that others don't know, God will understand what you’re saying, but no one else will! (Church groups have been known to make a big deal or some sort of test, over speaking or praying “in tongues”. I think it can work as a tool to quiet the mind.) You may in the Spirit be talking about mysteries, but only the Spirit will understand. 3 But when a person speaks what God reveals, they speak to people to help them grow, to encourage them, and to comfort them. 4 By speaking languages that others don't know, you build up only your own spirit. But by prophesying you help everyone. 5 I’m glad for you to speak unknown languages, although I prefer that you would prophesy. In fact, prophesying does much more good than speaking unknown languages, unless someone can help by explaining what you mean. (Decoding the message, lol.) 6 My friends, what good would it do, if I came and spoke to you in a language you don’t know, what good would that do? How would I be a help to you, unless I told you what God had shown me or gave you some knowledge or prophecy or teaching? 7 If all musical instruments sounded alike, how would we know the difference between a harp and a flute? 8 If a bugle call isn't clear, how would we know to get ready for battle?

24 So finally Pilate gave in to their loud demands. 25 He released to them the man convicted of murderous insurrection, and surrendered Jesus to their will. 26 As the soldiers led him away (after flogging him, Jn.19:1) they made Simon of Cyrene who was coming in from the countryside, carry his cross. 27 A large crowd was trailing behind, including many grief stricken and weeping women. 28 Jesus said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For the days will come when they will say, ‘Happy are those who are without child, those who have not borne a child, and have never nursed.’”  [Both end of that age/aion at 70 CE, aNd, at the consummation of all these ages] 30 “For they will say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ 31 If they will do this - during a green wood - what will they do during a DRY wood?” (Rev.12:16, the chapter being a stand alone insert-which is obvious once appreciated.      13:1 - What if I could speak every language of man and even of angels? If I do not love others, I am nothing more than a noisy gong, or loud clanging cymbals. 2 If I am able to prophecy, and can understand God’s mysteries and have ‘all’ knowledge, and a faith that can move mountains, and do not love, I am nothing. 3 If I gave everything I may have to the poor and if I even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it - but if I don’t love others, I would have gained nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind. It doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast, and it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, and doesn’t demand its own way. Love is not easily angered and does not keep a record of wrongs. 6 It takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. 7 Love never gives up and never loses faith. 11 - The angel continues: “And the” (many headed geopolitical) “beast that was, then is not” (in that day, Roman Empire and Holy Roman Empire) “but then is again” (and it is another angel/manifestation of false light - in the culmination of all earth’s ages - an entity/institution of man, which was, then wasn’t, then after rev.13:13 was again) “is itself an eighth and is of the seven, and it goes to destruction. 12 And the ten horns you saw, are ten kings” (and toes of Dn.2) “who have not yet received a rule and dominion, but will receive authority for one ‘hour’ along with the (huge, over) beast (of Last Hours, who “will exercise authority for forty two months”). 13 The ten have one mind and purpose, so they hand over their authority to the large beast. 14 They will make war against the Lord. And the Lord will conquer and prevail [nikaó - from níkē - (have) victory] against them for he is Lord of lords and King of kings.” 15 And the angel said to me, “the waters that you saw, that the prostitute sits upon, are peoples and multitudes, nations and tongues.” (And she also sits on the beast and upon seven hills/continents.. so the beast will, surely? be also upon the seven.) 16 “And the ten horns and the beast will hate the pro$titute [greek pornea] and will make her desolate and poorly clothed, and will eat the flesh” (substance) “of her, and will burn her down. 17 For God has put in their hearts to do his will, to give their kingdoms to the beast until his words are fulfilled. 18 And the woman you saw is the great $ity that has the kingship over the kings of Earth.” (Remember? They are, for now, in bed together - in bible speak, fornicating - God’s will because it was “by her enchantments that she was destroying the Earth” by destroying family thus culture - and they will consume/use her up, leaving ‘her’ desolate and poorly clad. The ten horned beast of Daniel 7:7 and 19, with its “iron teeth” (columns) “and bronze claws that tear up what the iron doesn’t crush” see also Dn.2:26-45, the iron/bronze foundations of the modern day overbeast.)

16 The soldiers took Jesus into the governor’s courtyard, called the Praetorium, and called together the battalion. 17 Then they all put a purple robe on him and wound some thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head. 18 Then they said “Hail! King of the Jews!” 19 They struck him upon the head many times with a wooden staff, they spit on him, and mocking fell to their knees before him. 20 Then they removed the robe and led him out to be crucified. 21 Simon from Cyrene, father to Alexander and Rufus was passing by from the country and they had him carry the cross (or beam). 22 And they brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which name means “place of the skull”. 23 They offered him wine mixed with myrrh but he refused it. 24 Then the soldiers nailed him to the cross. And they threw dice over his clothing. 25 It was the third hour (from first hour, which was six o’clock) when they crucified him. (So at 9 a.m. which was at the very hour of the first - daily - sacrifice. Every day at 9 in the morning and at 3 in the afternoon which is Hebrew evening, the days ending and beginning at sunset rather than at midnight. Hebrew times of the daily sacrifices being third hour and ninth hour.  Now understand (imo, anyway) there’s only one logical reason for there having to be sacrifice and atonement — which atonement it is. But it was not, and is not, to appease a law, or to appease an angry God! Can you guess what it is that needs to be appeased? Are you telling me, that God as life giver and as judge of everything that is, that he cannot simply pardon anybody and every body? Resurrect all from their graves and “sleeping” state - and I think we can take it at face value that without resurrection we would all cease to be. As death (surely? barring all myth/s) is the opposite of Life, not a different realm of life and existence. And surely God is Life!? I mean what else would be? Or could be.. So to stray from him has a not good prognosis. I.e. the total and exact opposite of life. But how to prevent it? The straying and its consequences? Stick with nothing more than an ant farm? Ever?)

     26 There was an inscription [epigraphé] included on his cross (or beam) which said “King of the Jews”. 27 Crucified with him was two thieves. One on his right and one on his left. (🤔This never before has made me think of the “sheep and goats” at his return having been gathered, the sheep to the right of him and the goats to the left. All the world is a stage (Shakespeare).. two collective roles, Mt.25.) 28 So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And He was numbered with the transgressors.” 29 People passing by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “You said you would destroy the temple and build it again in three days! 30 Why don’t you come down from the cross and save yourself!”

Then they put a fine robe on him and sent him back to Pilate. 12 And on that day Herod and Pilate became friends, when before this, they had been enemies. 13 Pilate called the chief priests, the leaders and the people back together, and said, 14 “You have brought to me this man claiming he is leading the people in a violent revolt, and I have examined him here in your presence, and cannot find ground for your charges. 15 Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to me. Nothing this man has done deserves the death penalty. 16 I will have him flogged and set free.” 17 As it was agreed each Passover that the governor would release a prisoner to them. 18 But the crowd shouted out “Away with him! Give us Barabbas!” 19 Barabbas was in the jail for rioting and murder. 20 But Pilate wanted to release Jesus, so he appealed to them again. 21 But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him! 14 The human body is made up of more than one part! 15 Now imagine if the foot said, “I’m not a hand! So I’m not part of the body.” It wouldn’t make any difference. A foot is part of the body. 16 If the ear would say “I’m not an eye, so I’m not part of the body” it doesn’t make it any less a part of the body! 17 Just how would we hear if our ears were eyes! And how would we walk if our feet were hands? 1 - From Philippi, Paul and Silas went through Amphipolis and Apollonia, on their way to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue. 2 As was his habit, Paul went to the synagogue on Sabbath, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the scriptures. 3 Showing how Messiah had to suffer and die and then rise from death, saying, “This Jesus I’m talking about, is the Messiah.” [Ps.16:10, etc./Acts 2:27 (Eccles.9:5,10).] 4 Some were convinced and joined Paul and Silas, along with many God fearing Greeks and prominent women of the town. 5 But others were jealous, so they rounded up some bad characters and started a riot and came in search of Paul and Silas at one Jason’s house in order to drag Paul and Silas out into the riot. 6 Not finding them, they instead brought Jason and some others to the city council shouting, “The men, Paul and Silas, have been causing trouble all over, and now they are here too! And causing riots! 7 And Jason has made them welcome in his home! They are all breaking the law, proclaiming allegiance to a king named Jesus!” 8 This threw the officials and the crowd into turmoil. (Rome might consider such a thing, if it happened, to be a revolt and Rome had an “iron” fist.) 9 But then they made Jason and the others post a bond and let them go. 10 Later that night, the believers sent Paul and Silas to the neighboring town of Berea, and when they got there they went to the synagogue. 11 The Jewish (Hebrew) people of Berea were more conscientiously minded than those of Thessalonica. They listened to Paul’s message and they searched the Scriptures each day to see if what Paul and Silas were teaching was true. 12 As a result, many of them believed, as did a number of prominent Greek women and some Greek men as well. 13 But when the leaders of Thessalonica heard Paul and Silas were teaching in Berea, they followed and stirred up a crowd against them. 14 So the believers hurried Paul on his way to the coast, but Silas and Timothy stayed in Berea for a while.

     Very Brief Outline of Acts:

Jesus returns to where he was with the Father before his advent/visit (his brief first one).

The Holy Spirit/Presence of God is poured out on the believers who were in Jerusalem on the late Spring holy day of Pentecost. Peter speaks, there are 3000 new believers that day.

The good news message spreads, Peter is invited and goes to a Roman’s house and all believe. The first record of non Hebrew believers (besides likely some on Pentecost).

     Persecution breaks out.. jail. stoning. Pharisee Saul leads the persecution, but on his way to Damascus with papers for arrests, Jesus makes himself seen but is so bright Paul falls to the ground and is blinded. After two days he is healed and is a believer, and soon is called Paul. He wrote many (to most) of the New Testament letters, but spent a few years (it seems to me) exclusively listening to the Lord. He established many ‘churches’ in what’s called three missionary journeys, and met and worked with Mark and Luke, and quite a few others. (Luke wrote this Book of Acts.) His fourth journey is to Rome to trial as a prisoner. There’s a shipwreck on the way.. He wrote many of his letters while in prison and under ‘house’ arrest.

          Luke 23:1-10

1 - Then the council rose and led him off to Pilate. 2 They presented their case to him, saying, “This man has been telling the people not to pay their taxes to Rome (Mk.12:17) and saying that he is Christ, our king. (Christ is greek for “anointed one”, and is in place of the Hebrew “Messiah” which also means “anointed”. Kings and prophets were ‘inaugurated’ by being anointed with oil.) 3 So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Answering him, Jesus said, “So you say.” 4 Then Pilate told the chief priests “I find nothing wrong with this man.” 5 But they insisted saying, “This man has come all the way from Galilee. He began there and now has even come so far as to this city. And he stirs up the people wherever he goes! 6 When Pilate heard this, he asked if he was a Galilean. 7 When he knew that Jesus was under the jurisdiction of Herod, who also was in Jerusalem at the time, he sent him to him. 8 Herod was actually pleased about this, because for some time he had wanted to see Jesus, and was hoping to see a miracle. 9 He plied Jesus with many questions, but Jesus didn’t answer him at all. 10 At the same time, the leaders, the chief priests, and scribes kept stating their accusations.

(An angelic, prayer language, or like on the first Christian Pentecost, where many of different languages were gathered, to speak in another language the speaker doesn’t know.          Matthew 27:1-10

1- Very early in the morning, the leaders held a meeting to decide how best to get Jesus executed. 2 Then they tied him up and took him to the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate. 3 When Judas realized that Jesus was being condemned, he felt great remorse. He returned the thirty pieces of silver to the leaders, the chief priests 4 and told them, “I have betrayed innocent blood!” They replied, “What is that to us? That’s your problem!” 5  So Judas threw the money into the temple, and then he intentionally ended his life. (What occurs to despots, etc.. great doers of terrible abuses, upon Judgment ‘Day’ is well portrayed by Judas.. Jn.12:32 - Jesus “will draw all” - so they will come to gut wrenching remorse! Beating theirselves up with many stripes.. self condemnation.. But the inner, outside of the light darkness, will give way.. Rays of Light will enter.. for Jesus said he “will draw all”. Imagine awakening into “the judgment” and you’d been a child sex slave trafficker, or user. Can we see how it hAd to be “Christ Crucified”? An image and truth strong enough to appease even the very guiltiest of consciences.) 6 The priests picked up the money and decided they shouldn’t put it back into the temple treasury because it was “blood money”. 7 So they bought a potter’s field as a place to bury strangers. 8 And it’s called “field of blood” to this day. (When Matthew is writing the account some thirty or so years later.) 9 This fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that says, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price at which he was valued” 10 and they gave it for the potter's field, as the Lord directed me” (directed Jeremiah, to portray the prophecy).

   ~ 1 Corinthians 12:1-7 ~

1 - Now about the different gifts God’s Spirit(/Presence) gives, I don’t want you, brothers and sisters, to be misinformed about it. 2 Remember, and consider that when you were of the nations, you were swept along and inclined toward mute idols (‘gods’ that are no gods). 3 So I want you to understand that no one speaking by God’s Spirit will curse or ban Jesus. And no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by [en - in, on, at, by, with] God’s Spirit. 4 The gifts of the Spirit differ, but it is the one Spirit. 5 Just like there are differences in service, but the same Lord. 6 And there are varieties of works, but the same God working all in everyone. (🤔Isn’t this saying he is working the same process/program/work in everyone? Well, perhaps it’s not what this verse is saying. But! I still will note that unless “all” are subjected to a fiery ‘place’ called hell, for a duration of time, none are! After all, the scripture says it is God who chooses the when of our salvation/reconciliation. He who chooses the roles - by a shake of the heavenly dice? - whether sheep or goat, wheat or still a wild weed. So why on Earth would one group experience so much more strident a rescue and transformation? The root word of logic is logos ..besides, the three mentions of lake of fire are at huge fiery events. The first one obviously manmade, Rev.17:13-16, Mt.13:30, 2Thes.1:7-8.. 2Pet.3:10 — With 2 Peter 3:10 and 12-13 being bookend fiery events of the Lord’s long second advent!) 7 Moreover, to each is given the manifestation [phanerósis - a manifestation, disclosure, a coming to light] of the Spirit/Presence of God for the collective good [sumphero - common profit].
