Luke 24:36-48
36 And as they were talking about all this, Jesus himself stood among them, and said, “Peace to you!” 37 Yet they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a ghost/spirit. 38 And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Look at my hands and feet, that it is I my own self. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you plainly see that I have.” 40 And then he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still could not quite believe, but for joy they were marveling, he said, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 So they gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he ate it there in their presence.
44 Then he said to them, “These are my words - what I spoke to you while I was still with you - that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms will be fulfilled.”
45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures (reminds me of Rev.7:9,4;1,3) 46 and he said, “And so it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 And you are the witnesses of these things.

18 Then (if there is no resurrection) those who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If for only this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people to be pitied most of all. 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. ((And he rose on ancient holy day of Firstfruits, to provide even more proof besides the testimony of the disciples and their refusal to comply with Rome, so instead they were executed.)) 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. (Including death and the dominion of death.) 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
