04/25 ๐”‰๐”ฏ๐”ฌ๐”ช Mt.24, 1Tim.4

  Matthew 24:1-6

1 - As Jesus left the temple courtyard and was walking away, his disciples came up to him and proudly pointed out to him the temple buildings. 2 But he responded, “Do you see ALL this? I tell you the truth, there will not be even one stone left on top of another which will not be thrown down.” (An age ended in 70 A.D. when Jerusalem was very violently razed, the temple complex demolished. All that remains of that complex is part of the Western Wall.) [Prophecy buffs, students or just curious, read verse two again.]

(And Dan.12:11-12, about Israel, Daniel was a Hebrew prophet prophesying about his  nation - literal translation - “From the time is taken away the continual, and is set up” [nathan: to give, put, set up] “the desolating abomination, a thousand, two hundred and ninety days”. Between/until. And next verse “happy the one who waits and comes to the days one thousand, three hundred and thirty-five” which is forty five days later.)

3 Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives and his disciples came to him privately saying, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign, will signal, your return and the end of the world?” [End - syntรฉleia - from - sรฝn - close together with - and - telรฉล - complete, culmination, consummation] of [the world - aiรณn, age.]

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 Many indeed will come in the name of me saying I am the Christ and many they will mislead. (Possibly? saying I, Jesus, am the Christ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍♀️ and will mislead many. The Nicolaitan/Jezebel type of trend?) 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

   The First Letter to Timothy

        ~ 1 Timothy 4:9-16 ~

9 Trustworthy is the saying, and worthy of full acceptance (that godliness is very profitable). 10 It’s for this we toil and strive! Because we have hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all, especially of those who believe. 11 - Insist on these things and teach them. 12 Don't let anyone look down on you (Timothy) for being young. Instead, make your speech, behavior, love, faith, and purity an example for other believers. 13 Until I come, give your time and effort to the public reading of the Scriptures and to preaching [parรกklฤ“sis – properly, a call (urging), done by someone "close beside," i.e. a personal exhortation that delivers the "evidence that stands up in court”, encouragement, comfort] and in teaching. 14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift/endowment within you, which was intentionally bestowed on you [by the Holy Spirit] through prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands on you [at your election]. 15 Practice these things. Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own safety (of belief) and the safety of those who hear you.
