JOHN 15:18-27

 πŸƒπŸ•Š️11/16 - GospeL Verses πŸƒπŸ•Š️

[To his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion.] 18 - “If the world hates you, it hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. But since you’re not of the world, and I chose you out of the world, the world doesn’t like you. 20 Remember how I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they (who? rulers) persecuted me, they’ll persecute you. If they kept my word, they’ll keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they don’t know he who sent me. 22 If I hadn’t come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty, but now they have no pretext. 23 But whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else has done, they would not be guilty. But now they have seen these things {all that occurred} and have hated both me and my Father. 25 But the words written in the Law itself will be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’

26 When the Helper comes, whom [hos, hΓ©, ho - who, what, which, that] I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who [hos, hΓ©, ho - who, what, which, that] proceeds from the Father, will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
