Romans 8 17-25

 02/09 ~ From New Testament Letters

        Paul’s Letter To The Romans

17 - And if we are (His) children, then we are heirs. Heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. {Following after Jesus just naturally includes some societal disadvantages, sometimes even in the extreme, plus life’s regular hardships, sorrows, etc.}

     18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed! (Isaiah 7:11, Micah 4:3-4, and so much more. Also where the door of Mt.25:1-13 goes -> crowns of Life, not metal, of serving, called reigning, during Jesus’ long second advent. Surely(?) a full scope version of his first so brief one. The 2nd advent being “the” millennial Sabbath rest from enmity, then the releasing of the adversary&co ..plus his fiery final defeat, and the GWT judgment/full discernment ‘day’.) 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility {imperfection/“missing the mark”/entropy) not willingly, but HE subjected it, in expectation [elpis - expectation, trust, confidence] (which translators always translate as “hope”. Especially in this case however, it’s not like God aLmighty - who created the vast universe (via a bang into the universe as is, theN it was set in motion) and the great array of life, as but a small clue to his abilities - is merely hoping things go as he wants!) 21 (In expectation/planning/design) that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption {entropy, and predator-ness} and obtain the freedom and glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pain of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit. We groan inwardly for the {full} adoption as sons and daughters, as we await the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope (expectation!) we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience… oR “For in this expectation we were saved. Now expectation that is seen and already present, is not expectation. For who is expecting what they already see? 25 But if we are expecting what we don’t see, then we are - waiting for it - with patience.” {A resting in the Lord.}
