MATTHEW 14 22-36

22 - Jesus had the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he sent the crowds home, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. And evening came, and he was there alone, 24 but the boat by now was a long way off from land. And it was being beaten and tossed about by the waves, for a wind had risen and was blowing against them. 25 Then in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the water. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea toward them, they were terrified! And they cried out in fear, “It’s a ghost!” 27 But Jesus said, “Take heart! it is I. Don’t be afraid!” {Thought I’d take the shortest route..}

     28 And Peter said, “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 So Jesus said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But then he looked around at the wind and the waves and he started to sink, and he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Jesus reached out his hand and took hold of him, “Oh you of little faith” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind stopped blowing. 33 And those in the boat were in awe, and said, “Truly! You are the Son of God.”

     34 And they came to land at Gennesaret. 35 And when the people of that place recognized him, they sent around to all that region and brought to him all who were sick 36 and implored him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. And as many as touched, were made well. {Is his long second advent a full scope version of his first so brief one?}
