JOHN 6 41-51

 Universalism in the New Testament

               ~ JOHN 6 41-51 ~

41 - The people were grumbling to one another about him, because he said, “I’m the bread come down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Isn’t this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I’ve come down from heaven’!?” 43 Jesus said, “Don’t murmur [gogguzó - grumble, murmur, mutter, whisper, complain] among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them. And I will raise them up on the last day. 45 As it says in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ And everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from Him, he has seen the Father. 47 Truly, I tell you whoever believes has enduring [aionios, aionion - agelasting, of an age] life. {Life of the age.. in the case of “putting on immortality” of 1 Cor.15:53, Rev.21:5, it’s the age of forever?} 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 But this is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it [be nourished by it] and not die [apothnéskó - die, perish]. 51 I am the living bread come down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, they will live into [eis - into, in, unto, to, upon, towards, for, among] the aion, And the bread and sacrifice I give is for the life of the world [kosmos - world, universe, order, display].
